At some point EA decided that CoD is their rival and forced DICE to change gameplay in order to cater to more players. I forgive Bad Company for it because they were spin-offs, but the changes were really apparent from BF3 on. Making squadleaders worthless, unlimited sprinting, ammo count instead of magazines, making commander a meme, unlimited vehicle ammo, etc.

Did you know you could go under both mechs with any light arms and unload into the vents for 1 bullet = 1 damage? This could be devastating if you used an LMG and just magdumped into the venting system. It was always enough to get a mech to fuck off on camp gilb because he thought he was on fire or something.

They can just release the remastered version and it'll make millions.

All Bf games after 2142 stagnated and then regressed. In BC 2 the regression was acceptable because it was perceived as a console-focused spin-off. But starting with Bf3, all games were disappointments.

But I cannot help it. Now we have Squad? BFV? I could have played 2142 forever. I played 2142revive religiously. It's such a perfect sci-fi multiplayer experience that nothing else has captured...and it's over. Revive's turning tail killed all relevant interest in the game. Deathklok is trying, but they barely get more than 20 players.
