However, I really love both games and I am sorry that WhoopeeCamp went bankrupt, I think it was a victim of piracy because the original copies were very hard to find even in the early days, while literally any guy selling pirated CDs had it.

Whoopee Camp was actually going bust before Tomba 2 was even released. Sony owns partial rights and besides allowing that company to port it to PS3, I don't think the effort and money to gain all rights to resurrect Tomba would ultimately pay off.
