Haven't been to /r6g/ since shortly after BB came out and half the people were serious about him not being a broken pile of shit. I can't imagine how cancerous it is at this point. I do think shields are fucked in Siege though, or at least they were the last time I played. Letting them be virtually immune to C4 and giving Blitz shielded sprint were mistakes.

The shield sprint itself was fine as it kept in check by 3 armor, terrible pistol recoil and the lack of global intel cancer ops that enabled braindead rush tactics to work so well. When they cranked him up to 2 speed right after turning pistols into lasers was when he became truly oppressive. Lion was the icing on the shitcake

Shield sprint at 3 armor was unironically the most balanced version of Blitz. You were able to close opportunistic gaps that required good timing and game sense, but couldn't just push half a room deep and flash-ads someone before he could feasibly react to it.

No idea. I don't think the devs are sure either. It's still a long ways off. I just want them to add realistic armor plate hitboxes and then an ammo rework so it's not just people running the best ammo one-shotting each other's chest at high levels. Also remove the shitty progression system that is task grinding and rebalance the economy so that there's an actual reason to buy high-tier gear instead of them being wastes of money.
I honestly had more fun when the game was in, like, 0.2 and had less content but more interesting PVP due to fights generally being a bit longer.

The attacker (with the big shield) just placed a defuser, and the defender (POV) has to disable it in time or they lose. However if he goes to disable it now, the attacker will put down his shield and shoot him. The defender has to kill or incapacitate the attacker before he can disable the diffuser. Instead, seeing that the attacker has placed himself on the other side of a destructible wall with a hole in it, he places a reinforced barricade on the destructible wall (which only defenders can do) thus blocking off the attacker and allowing the defender to disable the diffuser and win the game.

Its defenders vs attackers. attackers need to defuse a bomb (the box they put down) and defenders need to defuse it. The defender (guy playing) couldnt defuse because the attacker there would kill him while doing it. That attacker carries an impenetrable shield but he cannot do anything while holding it. The attacker backed down into a hallway that can be barricaded by the defender and that specific attacker has no means to destroy the barricade, effectively trapping him inside

There's a far better middle ground that is tactical RTS games where it's not APS driven, but still requires a decent amount of attention and micromanagement, as well as macromanagement of your units and resources. Games like Company of Heroes for example.

I bought the odyssey+ solely because I wanted to experience RBR with it.Everything else I can play with it is just a bonus. Sliding sideways at 150+ kph with trees and rocks flying past you at accurately perceived close range is incredibly satisfying. And the freelook allows you to go even more sideways because you can always track the corner apex independent of your car, compared to a 2D screen with accurate(=narrow) FoV where you will sometimes have to just go blind for a second or two and trust in the AWD to drag you through the corner
