It definitely look like.... something, I mean the footage gives the impression of the game being a traditional platformer to me, but the fact that it's only announced for smartphones so far doesn't bode well in terms of it having excessive microtransactions/gacha shit all over the game

Well, the premise that it's going to be a cashgrab is established by the fact that it's mobile, not that it's chinese. The chinks are perfecting mobile games, you almost can't tell you're getting ripped off and not having fun anymore.

Classic has some stinkers but none of which are in the main/canon line-up. Mega Man 3(DOS) and Rockman & Forte Mirai kara no Chōsensha(aka Mega Man & Bass 2) are some fucking terrible games that you might want to check out if you want to know how bad it can get.
