imo the biggest mistake was that all eyes on beta access with full streamer hype.

Shoulda kept it quiet and private, so people just go in and experience stuff for themselves.

I've already cancelled my two weeks of time off that I had planned to play. The beta has convinced me that blizzard has fucked this up with layering, leeway and class bugs that they have already said may not be fixed in time for launch. I may play once layering is turned off provided a good community exists but I've soured on what we are getting tremendously after beta.

Wildstar died due to pic related. 0.3% raid participation with no other meaningful endgame is a surefire way to kill your game.

I cannot even begin to fathom what blizzard gained by waiting so long to release this shit. They've unironically killed the lions share of the momentum and hype that they had, just like OP said.

I quit because the presentation was awful and the quest design was post-Cataclysm soullessness where I couldn't give less of a shit about the world. People always talk up the attunement shit for "you think you want it but you don't" purposes but I seriously doubt over 90% of the people who tried that game even got to max level.

World First raiders are the QA team, blizzard doesnt test mythic as has been obvious for few expansions now with the live tuning.

Catch up gear thown in halfway thorugh an expansion is nothing new the only difference is you can spin the wheel to get a BiS out of it.

Mechagon hasn't got half the events or secrets of Timeless Isle, it's just a bunch of rare mobs and dailies ppl grinded to get flying. Ppl already stopped giving a shit because ther're nothing to do. Nazjatar is just broken shore but not as bad.
