Its fucking shit and you should feel bad

Chris campaign was ok. I had to drag myself to the computer in order to complete the other ones.

Only good campaigns were Chris and Jake's.
Ada's was only bearable because of AGENT.

Is the least RE of all the RE.
It's good that we can play with Leon, Wesker's son, Cris y Sherry on the same game.
But is just a FPS. And not a good one.

Whilst not traditional horror, RE5 and 6 are my favourites in the series purely because of the online component and co-op. It's also why I love Outbreak.

Chris campaign was the worst though. BOring as fuck and no ammo the whole time. Other campaigns are alright.

Leon's campaign is the best.

But Sherry

I have actually finally gotten over the stigma over RE6. I was planning to give it a try. I'm expecting that I'm not going to like it too much and that there will be a lot to hate, most notably the characters, though RE in general ruined every character in both the games and movies
however, I heard that it is actually a good action game, so I'll try to treat it like vanquish (except I can't imagine it stacking up to that game)

One of my favorite RE games. The John Woo shit is excellent. However, I think most people don't like it because
>The intro is dogshit
>Most people start with Leon's campaign which is the slowest and gayest first 2 levels of the whole game, also has the most bulletsponge feeling enemies early on
>The campaign is out of order and unironically best played when following the chronologically switching from one campaign to another to another to another. This is garbage design. I shouldn't have to look up a steam guide on which episode I should be playing next
>Sidekicks are gay and forgettable except Sherry
>The QTEs are dogshit
>The online netcode is horseshit
>The gimmick monster in Jake's campaign never for even a moment feels similar to nemesis despite Capcom saying "oh yeah, Jake's campaign is exactly like nemesis"
>Too many machine guns, not enough guns with flavor

>gave it a shot
>even played co-op
>"best" campaign (leon) starts with a shitload of forced walking Naughty Dog bullshit.

I'm sure it's fine otherwise, but damn that was brutal.

i took this screenshot like 20 seconds into the game and uninstalled

Some things to note, raise the fov setting to the max right away, the default camera is way too close to your player model. Also the standing melee attack as a standalone attack is not useful, use the context melee attacks instead, like in RE4 and RE5.

Crap like Fallout 4 deserves a chance. Resident Evil 6 will give you a headache and put you in a bad mood. Definitely not worth having a thread about.

Fallout 4 is still a nice experience for people that enjoyed Fallout 3 and even NV.

Coop campaign was top stuff really liked it

>Resident Evil 5 - 7.5M sales
>Resident Evil 6 - 7.3M sales
>Resident Evil 2 - 4.9M sales
Give the people what they want.

>gimmick monster
Yeah, with Nemesis it's "oh shit it's that guy again, fuckfuckfuck". With this guy it's just "not you again, come on".

And play on PC

As a resi6 fag, they spent wayyy too much money developing the game, so much so that 7.3 million sales weren't enough to celebrate with the apparent development hell 6 was stuck in
>Nemesis
>Oh fuck oh fuck I need to get out of here
>Unganaut or whatever his fuckin name was
>Oh boy, another forced running segment, I hope this one ends with a stupid gimmick bossfight

all this plus:

>Too much melee emphasis
>Enemies blasting at you with guns all the time, feels like Gears
>Yet another shitty variation of virus, boring monsters
>Frustrating downgrade to inventory system, again

I think the coop made an otherwise mediocre action game good.

People want Sherry

Co op being forced makes an otherwise great action game shit imo. At the very least it's beatable on the hardest difficulty without some faggot shit like Wesker oneshotting Sheva ruining your run, but still it should have had a solo no companion mode

>1 year vs 10 years

Replaying the game recently as someone who actually thought it was decent on release, my only real issue with the game is that literally none of the background plot makes sense until you play Ada's campaign, although Chris and Jake/Sherry's campaigns have satisfying character arcs.

The game's like a Frankenstein's Monster of game design, and I think it works as a conclusion to the string of games from RE 4-6.

Also i STILL play RE 5's mercenaries mode sometimes because it's just so satisfying, but lately i also started playing 6's which I never liked before. There's a fundamental difference in how both games Mercenaries modes feel that actually gives good incentive to switch between both. It's ridiculous how well-developed (if a bit sloppy feeling) the combat in RE 6 is, and chaining kills solely by doing counter attacks (which you can't do in 5's) is a lot of fun and rewarding in it's own way.

Resident Evil 6 is the Sonic Adventure 2 of RE. So fun, so flawed, so different. And abandoned forever. But it's no '06, that's for sure.

6 was a genuinely fun game
I really enjoyed it

the best part was how fucking wacky it got, it was exactly what I wanted out of resident evil after 4 happened since I know another tank control fixed/panning camera angle game was out of the question

You can't thread you own post dipshit.... but yeah, it's shit.

>The game's like a Frankenstein's Monster of game design
I think they wanted to please every type of fan with the game, but it blew up in their face. Leon's campaign was clearly trying to pull off the horror genre as everything was slower paced, with quieter environments. Then Chris' is all action, and finally Jake's was a Nemesis game.

The camera almost made me puke so nah

6 has an outstanding combat system that never gets meaningfully explained in the game, so the average player just plays it like a normal third person shooter and rightfully hates it. It was when I read a guide on Mercenaries mode that I realized how cool the combat can get.
I think about actually buying it to see the multi, but each time it's on sale I just say "next time."

Nah combat and controls were atrocious

Forced stealth parts are horrible.

I gave it 4 chances and yes. It is awful.

It's a terrible game and everything wrong with the Horror genre overall including movies and TV. Too much action, not enough mood, atmosphere or suspense!!!FACT!!!

Gameplay: top tier
Enemy AI: shit tier
Level design: utter shit tier

Nice troll post

Why giraffe blowjob?
Game was good.

>Whilst not traditional horror, RE5 and 6 are my favourites in the series purely because of the online component and co-op. It's also why I love Outbreak.

The co-op is the absolute worst thing they brought to RE. Giving you and annoying sidekick completely kills the suspense of being alone and in a jam. Not to mention that they're fucking useless half the time and get in the way!!!FACT!!!

RE6 is easily the worst of the numbered entries, but I still had fun with it.

As early as RE 3 the series shifted from suspense to action. The original RE 1's atmosphere is horrible and just... weird. There's an aesthetic in that which is endearing, but literally the REmake was what that game should have been, and REmake came out after 3.

The truth is RE can be either or, it's not a dedicated series, it's always been Capcom's cashcow and after where 4 went it made complete sense to make the game a co-op game. 4 was creepy but are 3 and 4 anywhere near as atmospherically effective as REmake? They simply aren't and I say that with 3 as my favorite of the traditional RE's (Up to Code Veronica/Zero).

I won't deny that REmake is arguably the pinnacle of the series, but there was never anything wrong with them taking a more action-focused co-op route. The zombies themselves haven't been scary outside of the two REmakes and were basically cannon fodder.

I fucking tried,i tried i Very halloween since i play all the main RE titles and the revulsion is the same.
Thanks god for RE7...th expectation to play It the reason playing RE6 is more tolerante these days

The gameplay was fantastic.
The story was a bloated mess.
If the game focused on Leon & Helena instead of needing a Chris & Jake branch, it would have gone a LOT better.
