That's true. This time around maybe some of the new gameplay mechanics (hah!) are more complex than the first game. I know that Scott Cawthon of FNAF fame could get away with using a simple game engine (forget the name of it atm) to make new games at a rapid pace comparatively (just a few months!) using it.
