KH2: Still one of my favorite games of all time. Drive forms almost gave a cuhrayzee vibe. Excellent music. Another strange and unique endgame world. Can't get sanctuary out of my head either

KH3: Easiest in the series. Can't recall a single music track. Theme park ride moves are entertaining for like the first time and get old FAST. Tiny, empty endgame world that you've already seen countless times at this point. Then finally they tease you with that strange, mysterious new place for the last five minutes of the game, but it's just a big boss stage. Supervise was an absolute pushover. Infinitely more questions generated than answered. Kairi and Axel's "training" was 1000% pointless.

It just didn't do it for me, I'm afraid.

even as a kid it always felt like they weren't giving the whole story about heartless and the secret reports alluded to there being more shit out there. By the end there were even 3 goddamn keyblades when it's supposed to be the stuff of legends. KH1 did what most competent writings do and left it open and vague enough so that they could fill in the details later

This one hurts the most. KH3 is probably Shimomura's laziest work to date, half the track were remixes while the other half was outsourced to another composer that really had no business being there (as in, the final fucking boss track). The new music that is there just feels weak and doesn't invoke that same emotional impact I expect out of a KH game.

Outside of maybe a few instances, Square and Disney character rarely fucking interact with each other, and when they do it's so fucking inconsequential it doesn't even matter.

To say nothing about how they're hollow shells of the characters from their respective source material, if not made up on the spot.

Why doesn't Scrooge go on adventures with you? Yeah, he's a businessman, but he's also a fucking adventurer who gladly grabs danger by the horns "being smarter than the smarties and tougher than the toughies"

The more I think on this series , the more I think it really should have ended after the first one.

The weapon switching is such trash because it waits until the complete animation of the move is finished before it decides to switch, which is enough time for shit to break out of a combo.

As a child I felt more forgiving of KH's shortcomings with the first game and its plot, but as time went on and on it's just gotten worse

The keyblade especially, since right now it seems to run on pure bullshit and all the mystic wonder surrounding it is gone.

It's like if in LoZ, the Master Sword was less an artifact and more a title, and every character besides Link had their own "Master Sword" in one way or another.

FF7 Remake looks good though

Simple and Clean encapsulated the first game PERFECTLY. Not only was it about the themes of light and dark (or subtle hint of romance in the dub), but it made everything feel so mysterious and nostalgic like you're simultaneously visiting old friends yet going on new journey. Even though I don't like Passion nearly as much, it fit with the setup of CoM and you can tell they at least tried to follow up on S&C. KH3's theme song by Utada was dogshit and there's that weird rap section that completely ruins it. It's like they just stopped trying.

Movie-wise, Tangled was great (Almost Little Mermaid-tier if not higher.), Frozen wasn't bad but had plenty of missed potential, and Big Hero 6 was decent, wish the other members of the team got more focus.

Still even if movies like Treasure Planet and Emperor's New Groove get in, they'll just be half-assed and probably have the handheld game characters go to the worlds where they'll have zero chemistry with the Disney characters (And even worse with ENG is that it would be an awful attempt at emulating the film's trademark humor,).

The game needs some slight game play changes to reach it's potential.Critical mode needs slight changes. The camera needs to be fine tuned. The lock on system needs to actually let you easily switch from targets on the fly like in some of the previous games. Some of the forced mobs and final world org battles need adjustments too. The story part of the DLC is most likely content they cut out which is unfortunate.
