Have you ever forced yourself to beat a video game? Like, you really hated playing it, but you just wanted to be done with it so you kept playing?

This.
I got this because people were hyping it up.
I never got interested and just sped through all memories and then guessed whoever was left over just to see the ending.
Which was really awful

Just porn games cuz the gameplay was awful but the porn was top notch, and I couldn't find it anywhere online.

Ninja gaiden 3
I refused to call the game trash before beating it on the hardest difficulty.
The game is trash

What was the otter doing originally?

Every game I've disliked; ironically I have more incompleted games that I like then completed games that I dislike.

Sonic Heroes.

I was bored as piss by the end of Sekiro even as a massive soulsfag

the combat was tight but god it got fucking repetitive by the end

I instantly alt+f4ed at the credits and never touched it again

Last third of P5 almost did me in, luckily fun city times tided me over
I played DAI just to be able to have an informed shitpost about it

Nah M8, I'm a quitter. If I don't like a game I just stop playing, doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I hate Agarest for this reason. Most grindy shit ever, needed to grind for 20 hours to forge godly weapons to stand a chance against the final bosses, then I basically one-shotted them. I was just glad to be done with it

Uncharted. What a fucking turd. Then I played around 2 hours of Uncharted 2 and quit because it's exactly the same shit.

I did it with an anime. Madoka, i had to know the full extent of it, one of the worst anime i've ever seen. Every character is terrible.

Except maybe Homu but she can't save the show.

Make a video on it E;R

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. I won't buy another Ubisoft game.

unironically phoenix wright games. ended up using savestates to just blast through.

The Big the Cat levels of Sonic Adventure.
The first Kirby
The campaign of For Honor

Botw. I felt like at some point I have seen everything the game has to offer, but I still didn't have the master sword yet so I forced myself to clear a few shrines.

Lords of the Fallen and The Surge
They're both awful, I played and beat both just to be sure that when I said people were retarded faggots for liking them, I knew I was right.
The Surge 2 seems just as awful as the first mechanically, but at least it seems to have some soul in the world and character designs.

Shadow Warrior
Far Cry 5 in Coop, doubly dreadful experience
Kane and Lynch 2

Yes, Okami.

Yes

if this shit didn't have the FF name, I would of dropped it at like the 20 hour mark

unironically nuDoom. you can tell the devs forced themselves to finish it just to be done with it. totally falls apart near the end.

There are a bunch of arena fights near the end where the music builds up to more and more escalation only for the fight to stop dead in its tracks. It was fucking infuriating

Eat shit

Nier Automata.
Everyone kept saying it got really hype after Route C, so I just kept hoping for that. No dice, though, game was a boring mess from beginning to end. Should've just stuck to porn.

Played RDR1... in 2017 or something. It has not aged well.

Many times. God of War was boring, but I forced myself through it to justify wasting money on the PS4 Pro.

MGS1

So many frustrating boss.

based reincarnated black man

At least it's not like Nier which gets worse with each ending

>Should've just stuck to porn.
>Porn
Find a girl on Tinder with a decent body and a hideous face. Ask her to cosplay as 2B during sex so you can't see her face.
Works every time.

Most SNES games back then I rented

Imagine getting into the game rental and instead of picking a Link to the Past you picked Bubsy, and now you're stuck with it for the rest of the weekend.

Dark Souls 3

Not because I thought the game was bad, the person tutorializing me through it was an absolute cunt and kept critizing my desire to go with heavy blades and axes and kept wanting me to use lighter equipment even though I liked the impact of heavy weapons. He should've known that because we played Monster Hunter World together and a good amount of us playing together was me on Greatsword because anytime I also used anything faster they would get mad about me hitting them so i stuck to the weapon with literally the slow swing speed so the only excuse he had was because he was retarded and got in the way of my blade I was obviously charging.

I don't talk to this person anymore.

I forced myself to beat many games, of the most recent ones was Sekiro.
I just didnt have fun with it, reached the Demon of Hatred and just stopped playing. The game is okay, i just had no fun with it, stuff like the Maguilla Gorilla boss was okay, i didnt mind fighting it but almost everything else was a chore.

Oh I didn't thought about DaS3

But yeah, DaS3. I disliked almost every step of the way through the game. Expected some revelation out of the story, a place of wonder to go OH SHIT and there was nothing. Just a fuckbunch of Farron Keep, little Farron Keeps, Blighttowns, another swamp, and then a miserable end.

Andariel was meh to annoying. Wanted it to end quick. Same as Ringed City. But gotta say that Gael was awesome. Doesn't redeem the whole slog that is, but I can say I was glad it was over with him.

KH 358/2 days.
I hate that game so much.

Yeah, it also irked me in the sense where it was dropping a shitton of lore as opposed to telling a proper story. Like I appreciate the somber tone of the world and the inner world conflicts that naturally led up to that point, but senpai I aint reading all these item descriptions to get the whole story like holy shit. Granted, I'm mostly entrenched in this feeling because some items are chance based and I could potentially never actually run into them.

"user, just wiki what happens." The fact that you're suggesting to me to leave the game im playing instead of playing the game more means the game's story is shit.

botw

Dark Souls 3
Sekiro
Nier: Automata

All the assassin creed games past 2 with the exception of black flag
Put an hour in Origins months ago and haven't touched it since

Steam world dig 2. I was never into the series because the art style looks disgusting to me. At the time it came out people kept saying it was the GOAT metroidvania and better than 3ds samus returns, etc. Played all the way through expecting to come across something amazing that made up for the ugly graphics but I never did. And I give 0 fucks about story in games so even if I remembered what happened it wouldn’t make the game any better

Final Fantasy X-2, I kept playing because I was waiting for it to get good and for the real story to appear, next thing I knew I was at the final area.
Bioshock Infinite, it got so much praise so I thought that I have to experience the whole game to truly appreciate the game, how wrong I was.
Alien Isolation, it was a gimmick fit for a maybe 6 hour long game and I expected the game to either end soon, or add a lot more to the gameplay, neither happened, a bunch of false finales and what you experience in the first 3 hours of the game is pretty much all the game has to offer, hell you even back track up to 3-4 times in some areas, it's actually a very small game but padded out to nearly 20 hours, a chore.

Trails in the Sky SC was a fucking trial. Bland and predictable from start to finish, with that awful combat just slowing things down further. Only reason I finished it was to play the sequels, which I never fucking got around to doing because I don't have time or interest in JRPGs anymore.

I beat the 9S story and my game CTD and I haven't touched it since. I was so underwhelmed in the thing. Fucking loved Transformers Devastation and Nier is completely mechanically worse than it.

I also hate how normal mode is stupidly easy and hard mode has enemies that can 1 shot you with half their moves.

The story was also really uninteresting and felt like a cliche anime.

The bosses in MGS1 are fun though, granted Psycho Mantis is a meme fight.

Harmony of Dissonance got so fucking tedious by the end.

AC Origins, it was painful because I enjoy the game and its gameplay but the level bullshit forced me to do a bunch of side missions because I was too underlevel to play the main ones. I was playing on hard also so being a level or two below is basically insta death while also doing like 1/10 of your damage because fuck you for trying to fight anything above your level to the point where your damage is negated completely. Fuck ubisoft for that rpg bullshit

Super Paper Mario

I got it as a gift from a friend who knew I loved the first two. It was so aggressively bad in comparison. The writing was 50% good and 50% boring tedium and the gameplay was straight up garbo. I barely remember huge chunks of the game because I was desperately trying to finish it to be done with it. Haven’t played a game in the series since and that’s probably for the best. I replay PM and TTYD every couple of years though

Mass Effect Andromeda.
I played it at launch hoping it would at least be passable, but no.
>MC is a pushover with cringey dialog
>all the NPCs are all annoying cunts that treat you like shit and make outrageous demand taht you have to do
>Krogan's are basically welfare niggers living in the sand-planet version of a 10 story apartment building
>enemy faction was retarded and the Big-bad was forgettable
>all the patches did was pretty up a few cutscenes in the first few hours of the game and nothing else
>Terrible crafting system and menus

>the first Kirby
To be fair, the game is so short that it's impossible not to beat.

revenge of the flying dutchman, just because I played it a bit when I was younger and never finished
so much worse than battle for bikini bottom it isn't even funny

AM2R

desu felt that way the for a large part of that manga, but after reading so much of it I just kept going, hating every moment

Alpha Protocol
Mass Effect 2 and Andromeda
I'm sure there are others

What's to hate about the first Kirby? Outside of it being real simple.

Fishing is fun as fuck in SA, the only shit part of Big's story is the time when you aren't fishing.
