Pw would be above 4 if it was the first one to bring the series to the psp as a proper entry and introduced base gameplay, but it wasn't; worst story.

I spent over 200 hours playing V and got the Platinum. It's shit because it's not a complete story. Not because of cut content. Not because it's not a traditional narrative. Because Kojima could not be assed to fucking follow through with all of the ideas and themes the game presents. By far the biggest disappointment this console generation.

Especially considering how fucking amazing PW's story comes together, literally he just stopped trying with V's. PW's gameplay is far from the best, but it's storytelling made it better than 2 and 4 for me.

MGS 1 is literally a gaming version of a Luc Besson film and MGS 3 is literally James Bond but with substance so they're both masterpieces.

Didn't really like infinity mode in PO+, but the online was insanely fun. Dislike MGS4 the most because it felt more like a shooter than a stealth game. I think I dislike MG and MG2 is because I played Ghost Babel before them. Haven't played Rising, Ground Zeroes or Phantom Pain. I do like Peace Walker somewhat because I've only played it on the PSP, so I mostly played it with a friend on the bus together and pretty much ignored the story.

Played through a few times, many a co-op with randoms was enjoyable. But with a best friend it was beautiful.

3 is easily the most overrated MGS. It's still pretty good, but most of the gameplay flaws are overlooked because it was innovative at the time.

It’s hard to put my finger on it, I think it was the culmination of all the story into one silly big grand finale, it just stuck with me for some reason, that’s also why I rank 5 the lowest because it ruined that perfect ending for me

Sorry but this is objectively the correct ranking, 2 and 3 are masterpieces. The stories are good, pacing is great, music on point, gameplay is the best in the series.

1 was too simple, it literally was just hallways to the next cutscene. 1 is just a boss rush mode the game. Boss fights make up the majorit of gameplay. If you actually examine the stealth sections in the game there are really only a few and theyre piss easy. Seriously i timed it and all the actual stealth gameplay sections make up only about 15 minutes total.

The rest of the series and its flaws has been beat to death especially 4, 5 and PW so i have no need to get into that,
