I don't get why everyone is bitching about BFA, I like it. I only played vanilla and BC though and a little Cata private server. I've been having fun with it. PvP is decently balanced compared to the old days and high keys are actually challenging. Previous expansions were better I guess? I tried FF too and it was awful. The heavy focus on story alone turned me off not to mention the GCD. At first I wasn't sure if I was using regular skills or popping cooldowns.

I'm in the US, not only do I get to enjoy having lots of vacation but I also am not a Europoor.

Well wod obviously had still all those skills there. Class depth was thereby less gutted. In addition grind was significantly lower. Strictly speaking depending on the content there was zero grind compared to bfa. If you played pvp you could get fully maxed in 3 days in wod and play competitive. Can't do that in bfa. Gotta waste at least a month to grind everything up even with catchup.

Different kinds of people. I did 90% of my playtime competitive pvp. As a pure X player rest becomes just a hurdle to the gamepaly you want to play. I'm not the best but was decent at 2.2-2.3 and large section of peers i knew also bg botted because they had no interest stomping noobs. All they wanted is arena / rbg and everything else was shit to avoid at any cost. This just to showcase how much they hated other content - they were willing to risk their account to skip it.

The fact that it's even possible to do the hardest content in the game with a controller says a lot about how hard XIV content is.

The issue isn't the store mount itself, it's about them trying to lock you into a six month sub during a shit expansion with no content on the horizon for at least a few more months. After the expac is released they always give a month before the first savage tier so people have time to do the story, level up and decide on what they want to raid with.

Chocobos are great because you don't have to stick with the default yellow color and can change their color with little effort. I also like a couple of the Realm Reborn Extreme Trial horse mounts.

I beat the DRK 80 quest and got 436 ilevel. Im done with FFXIV Ill pick it up in 1 year minimum if it even shows improvement. Back to classic for me where I belong. WoWs always been home. This same villain who attempts to SHOW you, and not TELL you, that his civilization was utopian, (despite a lack of individuality because everybody should enjoy everything and allowing yourself to hoard CONCEPTS because of selfishness isn't RIGHT) that despite being built up as the worst scumbags since A Realm Reborn, these people are actually just doing what's right, that they're trying to bring the splintered worlds back into one piece, where suffering is abolished and conflict doesn't exist. I'm a zoomer faggot who first tried vanilla on a private server, and just played the Classic Beta last month. There's no nostalgia factor at all for me, the truth is just that somehow a 14 year old game is better designed than its modern counterpart or spiritual successors.
