Don't give up, user! Fight!

>buy game
>it's too hard
>feel bad about it
>don't want to admit to myself that I'm too bad for it
>don't refund it
>never touch it either

If any of you actually do this, you should really be ashamed.

I've felt like a retard in regards to a bunch of puzzle solutions but in regards to game genres I never got into fighters.

old horror games are too hard, the puzzles dont make any sense!

Attached: ea3g5enkti721.png (640x786, 529K)

its mostly complex games with shit UIs.... I only did this with kenshi and factorio, absolutely god tier games but my brain cant stand visual diharreas

>game about social links/interaction
>too retard to understand it
>characters always die and get the worst ending
Witcher, detroit, new vegas, it's always the same, i just want good endings

>nothing helps

i guess souls games just aren't for me.

cringe thread

imagine being so retarded you think only AAA games exist

I still don't understand what I's supposed to do in Once Upon a Time in the West.

>I see the appeal in most games and are interested in trying them out
>tfw I like the idea/picture of playing video games
>but not actually playing them

yours? yeah I agree

>go to work
>feel incompetent and overwhelmed
>feel everyone knows
>go home and cry in dread
I don't think I'm going to make it bros

This only seems to happen when I play Indy games for the most part.
>get Cross Coed
>game is brety gud
>get to puzzle segments
>two hours later beat the puzzle
>you beat the tutorial, now here comes world 1
Shid I'm too dumb to be doing this puzzle shid :DDD

>buy horror games
>scare me and stress me out

if you talk about Witcher 1 then lore-wise the good ending is the neutral ending, and to accomplish it you just tell the elves and the flaming rose faggots to go fuck themselves

Thats just a puzzle game thing in general, it was to mask the fact the game was actually really short

Learn to code and take up software contracts online

No Souls games, or any rpg game for that matter that allows exp grinding is hard. All you need to do if you're a shitter is level yourself up a bit and you can stomp any enemy. If even at that point you can't win I suggest getting a new hobby such as cliff jumping without a bungee..

All games made in the last decade are easy, the developers even admitted to secretly including difficulty sliders that help you so you can finish any game . Literally how is any game hard, you just play get used to it and win wtf lmao

>doesnt even check IPs before accusing of samefagging
ok youre actually retarded

I don’t give a buck you nigger lmao
No game is hard, you’re just lazy

>friend asks me to play a game
>get stuck and frustrated for half a hour or more
>tell friend
>"haha, you REALLY got stuck THERE!?"
This happened several times to me in Kingdom Hearts.

>Buy game
>Game is scary
>Never play it

Alternatively
>Buy Game
>Play it once
>Stop and forget it exist

and also
>Buy game in a bundle
>forget about it
>never install it let alone play it

I do all of these all the time

Not recommending it but unpatched Left Alive was pretty brutal with its difficulty.

No shame. Some areas are legitimately retarded, especially Tarzan world.

>Buy Re2 remake
>Unbeatable boss
>Jumping spiders
>Install mods to fix game and delete these enemies
You can find a lot of mods for hardcore games. Now this game is much more fun.

I feel like my friend was just being an asshole and lying about how he had no trouble with it, because there's some areas that give you no clue where the fuck to go. The worst (for me) being the green door in Oogie Boogie's Manor.

I have like 80 and i've not even been actively collecting them.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who enjoys just about every genre of video games instead of sticking to just one or two.

after the boss fight with the kids, if you talk to one of them they tell you to go through a green door. i still got stuck cause i could never find it lel

I know this is a brainlet thread, but you're really pushing it

This was me with Witcher. I dunno if it was 2 or 3 but I was in a prison or something and I dunno I just kept dying. Lost interest.

Fighting games as a genre are more about sheer dedication than technical skills. As opposed to FPS as an example. You literally just have to eat, breath, and sleep the fighting game of your choice. That's what turns most people off from them.

>boat oni

Do you mean the literal first boss in the game?

other then the derrick executioner guy? yes

>start game
>pick the hard difficulty option because "I'm not a bitch"
>it's actually really fucking difficult
>it's so frustrating I turn the game off and never bother finishing it or revisit it in 6 months only to shelve it further
>all this could be avoided if I turned the difficulty setting to normal
But seriously, Divinity OS2 on tactitian is fucking brutal
someone please gimme some advice I actually really like this game a lot

all the faggots in this thread with your faggot friends

use only 2 characters, and do lone wolf. Have one character be a summoner, and the other be a necro/warfare

>I gift it to him via the BOGO deal
>He never wants to play it

Get new friends, yours are clearly retarded. As if it wasn't obvious when they play flavor of the month garbage like PUBG and Siege.

More like skill-let
>beat hollow knight base game after 90 hours, spent a literal week in final boss
>find out there's a ton of dlc
>sequel incoming

Opted out

>use a video walkthrough for every puzzle in the second half of Portal 2
>got stuck for 20 minutes on the king/queen sewer room in re2 remake. Reloaded a save file cuz I thought I fucked it up and lost a ton of progress
>don't even bother with the rgb serum puzzle and instantly turn to walkthroughs
I can't think critically so any moderately complex puzzle will instantly turn me off.

Attached: 1548928920811.jpg (435x576, 37K)

I, too, have gifted games to people who have never ended up playing them.

umm then don't play the hardest mode? You can use mods to even have a party of like 6 and get "every" story

You could just be honest and say you got the wrong type. It helps them know to more clearly advertise the USB type if it's a common issue. I've always been honest about getting the wrong type and still get refunds.

Well witcher 3 choices are kinda unpredictable you get punished half the time you do something good.

>play tactics game
>always save scum/restart level if a single character takes damage I don't intend

I don't even know why I do this.

>You were literally the only person who got stuck on that.

>before looking it up, you think "wait maybe it could be THIS solution?"
>fuckit.jpg
>check it
>it's that solution

>pirate game
thats it

Have you tried just rerolling your character without a shit build? I remember having trouble with the onryoki when I played the Nioh demo and I had no idea what I was doing with stat/skill allocation, but when the game actually came out it was a cake walk.

Also Nioh isn’t a Souls game.

i dunno if that'll help me, not sure what i'm even doing with stats

Imagine being so retarded you think that was the the implication from his post. Your indieshit is even more guilty of being tailored to the most casualized faggot gamers.

are you me?

call me a retard but isn't Red Orchestra and Rising Storm the same game now?

honestly. for real. keep going at it. you'll get it eventually. the first 30-50 hours will suck but keep at it.

more like this please

same
made me drop Republic Commando on hard difficulty
3 hours later after the first level there are those annoying scout droids which drain your life in literally less than 2 seconds, and when you shoot them they kamikaze mode fly into you to inflict more damage, you must have the reflexes of Spider-Man to notice them in time, shoot them in time and step aside to avoid them in time

i've had this experience with fucking LEGO games.
sometimes you just scour the entire room and just can't fucking find whatever it is you're meant to do to open the fucking door.

>6 hours in Hollow Knight
>beat a total of 2 (two) bosses

>"user you should really repay us for the $12 we wasted"
your friends are retards

>factorio
>bad UI

Nigga you're fucking stupid if you think the UI is bad.

reminds me when I played Ice Age 2 as a kid
you have to rescue Sid from the sloths and couldn't figure out how I'm supposed to set him free, took me two days to realize I just had to jump smash the pillar he was tied to
felt like a retard

Other than strictly competitive genres I have no idea how a game on standard difficulty could ever be "too hard" for an adult.

>This thread in a nutshell

Attached: sad cat latte.gif (100x100, 719K)

I played the first level of Gunvalkyrie and I legitimately felt like I had a brain deficiency. I heard tons of people talking about how obtuse its controls were but it's something you truly have to play for yourself to understand.

Attached: 220px-Gunvalkyriecover.jpg (220x311, 32K)

> game comes out, buy it, love it
> the fans say it's very shallow and the story is laughable
> another game comes out, buy it, pretty underwhelmed with it
> the fans say it's easily best in the series, brilliant level design, emotionally touching story.

Am I just stupid? Do I have shit taste?

Attached: RollKenshi4.png (1912x989, 1.25M)

Any HQ which would make a good avatar?

What the fuck? I was angry because it was so easy compared to the first. Archers and high ground is fucking OP you can knock all the armor off an enemy in a single Enraged Ballistic Shot crit. Not to mention if you wanna be really cheap just do it from 30 yards away before combat even starts. Or you can play a Elf Rogue and completely break the game with Skin Graft getting 10 AP in 1 turn doing Blood Sac > Adren > Skin Graft > Blood Sac > Adren. Me and my 2 friends completely shit on the game on Tact and we were 3 man no Lone Wolf.

>friend buys me game
>wasn't interested in it at all
>gave it a chance and played with him anyway
>come to really enjoy it over time
>buy the season pass for both of us
>friend stops playing the game shortly after
>I still play daily and ask him to join regularly but he never wants to
>pretty much wasted my money buying him the season pass and now I have no one to play it with

Attached: 1563632154291.png (378x379, 220K)

I didn’t realize the first Dead Rising was so punishing with death and it made me rage so hard. Returned it that night. I don’t know why I picked up the sequel, but I loved it.

>play entire game on 3rd highest difficulty
>get to that fucking cunt Head Valkyrie Boss
>tilted for two days straight
>literally the last thing in the game I have to do to set it down
>just set it to ez mode and kill her when I start getting headaches one long session

Feels pretty bad but christ, she has like 9 moves and 3 of them are just "heh heh, there goes 80% of your health." One of those 3 just bugs out and prevents your revival stone. The faster and changed up attack patterns near death are just cruel too.

I know it's just a matter of patience and proper reads but fffffuuuuccckk, I can't stand "do 100 steps perfectly and if you die at step 80 start over, idiot" design.

Still plan to go back and get it tho.

Attached: 1528647799988.jpg (1017x579, 330K)

unironically play and beat a game on Normal first if you have trouble starting at Hard or getting into a ball-buster difficulty. a lot of games "click" once you get used to them.
