lmao they nerfed the DLC Decoys from 4.1 to 5. They used to actually have a use even though people love to insist that all the DLC weapons in these games are worthless garbage, they could let you absolutely cheese a couple of missions as they were lauchable across the map, their HP didn't matter if enemies were unable to hit them or took years getting to them, now I see sandalot hated that shit and now they just fart out 10cm out from you.

I remember you could stick the Decoys on the bottom of the mothership in a spot that nothing could hit it, basically invalidated the mothership canons and flying enemies as how aggro in the game works. Argo to some degree too.

You can easily clear the whole game on normal or hard from the start. The downside is there's no one to revive you or help you collect crates.

The quality of life improvements with how gear upgrades are fantastic and have made me enjoy the experience a lot more, since it feels like I'm getting a lot less absolute trash.

Hey guys, this game is actually worth buying. Jap games rarely get a PC release, and this used to be a console exclusive. This is a really good place to spend money if you care about PC gaming. Pirate it if you're not sure if it's worth money or if you just can't afford it, but support it when you can. It's also worth noting that if you're on the steamworks pirated copy, your savefile will transfer over into the legit version of the game, so you lose nothing. And when you buy, you can keep playing with pirates just by going back using the pirated version.

They're all fun and different enough. Trying each of them for yourself and feeling them out is the best way to see which one's for you. If you want to unlock everything, you'll have to play all of them eventually.

But fencers starts pretty slow until you get his dash and jump equipment so don't be discouraged.

Fencer starts out slow but mid-late game it becomes the fastest class once you master it.
AR deletes entire maps. Underground levels are tricky since you have to get creative with buff items and your turrets in place of artillery and air strikes.

Weapons from offline can be used online provided they're within the level limit.

You can join whatever mission you want but there are usually level restrictions on what weapons you can take to earlier missions.

I mostly play solo, but I was thinking of trying online. What are the main differences? I main wing diver and my current strategy is darting in to hit high value targets as fast as possible and then darting out to mop up the bugs - usually with Stardust Cannon and my best lance. Will this strategy not work online with a team?

Their hover range is much further than the saucer drones. Can't really crush them with lances and spears like saucers, they force WD/fencer to spend a weapon slot to deal with them.

If you're used to bursting down aliens in offline, it's going to take you a while to get a feel for online HP scaling. I'd suggest going in with a phalanx, and aiming for the gun hand only at first. But if you're with a team that's diving the same targets as you are, you can lead in with your lance and let your squad back you up. Dive bombing a bunch of aliens with the boys and destroying them all before they can get a shot off feels great.

You get those eventually but not until later into the game.
If you don't like going slow then you should avoid fencer until then. Some items and armor are collected for all classes now.

For Ranger's sprint, you can just press the sprint button to go. All you need to do is steer.

i'm playing on hard right now and enemies don't seem to go after your vehicle as much as they did in the last game. i dropped a naegling where a bunch of red ants were, and they barely did damage to it for me to drive away. the naegling wasn't the only case and this happened to me quite a bit
