On WoW classic you will start off against people who've been playing private servers their entire life and know the optimized routes to get to max level as soon as possible, which doesn't sound as bad but then you remember the entire game is a PvP warzone.

Even during the final battle where he's fighting to keep hope alive, he's invoking Zodiark's name. Ultimately though it depends on what kind of god Zodiark is. If he's benevolent then his tempering may not even matter that much. We know for a fact that Hydaelyn is benevolent, even to a fault which is a factor the Ascians used against her as you find out if you do all the role quests. The benevolent primals we've seen have no wish to temper their people, and any tempering that is done is an accident that simply happens by spending too much time around it (Titan), or is reluctantly done at the behest of the followers themselves (Ramuh).
