GTA SA

San Andreas is more fun to play the controls are much better

After playing through them all again, I think 3 is better than both. The missions and atmosphere are better.

saints row 2

who compares vcs to sa

It really is. The missions are more about killing or stealing cars and being criminal as opposed to SA's fucking awful shit like "AYO CJ GO PLAY A SHITTY MARIO PARTY DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION MINIGAME AND DRIVE THE VAN BACK"

THIS.
Too bad we'll never get a remaster

SA is brilliant
but i like this

Attached: vcmalibu.png (1920x1080, 3.31M)

I prefer SA but that doesn't make VC not good.
Can't we all just get along?

I wonder how many times i started a mass shooting inside that place

>3
>better missions than SA
think you need to replay them again

SA always felt more clunky to me than the others. I don’t know why, I think it’s because there tend to be more targets and a few more functions.

Vice City Stories.

based

i always thought SR was budget GTA as a teen but now i understand the truth

when you're a kid
SA > VC > 3
when you're a little older
VC > SA > 3
when you're 25+
3> VC > SA

SA has the worst missions in the series. So many stupid missions, the San fierro portion is especially bad.

empire building was much better in VCS just for the fact that the money was automaticly transfered to your bank instead of visiting each seperate business

IV had great missions. I think you meant to post GTA V

SA is technically the better game in that it offers more content but most of it is padding and suffers the 'quantity over quality' argument (i.e., valet side missions). VC is still the more fun game.

IV has some of the best missions, the gunplay is the best of all the games and even if some are repetitive none are downright bad. It’s very solid and playable. SA has way too many gimmicky missions that just feel like slogs

My personal ranking of the PS2-era GTA games:

SA > VC > LCS > VCS > III

SA ranks highest due to technical improvements of the game's combat and character / camera control systems. III lowest due to it being very barebones and being a basic framework for which future titles would build off of.

Do note that this by no means indicates any game being bad in any way. They're all great games and worth a play through. Especially the Stories games, which I've always felt were criminally underrated and deserving of modern HD ports to XBX / PSN / PC platforms.

SA has really bad pacing. It takes way too long to unlock the whole map and the Los Santos and San Fierro portions seem to stretch on forever.

who's here bought literally buy every gta title that available on PS2?

Thats a red pill too large for this board to swallow

III’s map is also better designed. VC is too flat and the cities in SA are kind of meh. Portland, Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale are all great.

i bought the trilogy, played lcs on psp and emulated vcs

Shame they ruined the series and lost the games code

SA fags are delusional

Both are great.

I like the setting of Vice City more, but the customization of SA better...both in a single game would be great.

I like VC more because of the radio, radios are a dealbreaker for me in open world radio and besides K rose and some of the Kdst songs the SA selection isn't good
VCPR is the best station in any gta game, you can't refute this

*in open world games
fuck

3, VC and San Andreas were my childhood. There is no question SA is the best of the three. Vice City and 3 are amazing as well but a little barebones now compared to SA.

SA suffers too much from the PS2's hardware not handling it and the general shittiness of 90s LA.
VC had better music but fuck half of the map was beach.

Saints Row 1 was better than 2 god dammit!! When will this meme end?

>80s cool style vs Niggers and gangs and rap and hoes and "yo yo mutherfucker"
very easy choice

III

All three are pretty good. I'd say SA aged the worst, though. It was too ambitious for the hardware it was on and failed to update some of the older games' design philosophies. For example, the lack of checkpoints in 3 and VC is hardly a problem because the missions are fairly short. In SA it is infuriating because there are many missions which require a 10+ minute drive across the map. It was so much of a problem that R* actually released a patched version with trip skips. I also have no idea why they decided to put more RC vehicle missions in SA than in any game prior, even though fans made it clear they hated them even when GTA3 came out.

Tfw you will never experience this scene for the first time again

RC missions were piss easy and a good way to earn quick cash, Optional too. Also Checkpoints are for the weak.

this, zoomers will try and claim otherwise
>nico drive to this location, shoot some people, then drop me back off
>forced bowling minigame
>forced dating minigame
>plenty of other useless bland shit

VCS was a first GTA for me, still love it.

They weren't fun and they clashed with the tone of the game. Saying "it's easy" isn't justification for them being there. Why not have 4 or so missions where CJ flies a kite or plays hacky-sack?

Because it's fucking dumb and pointless.

there's like 1 of those in VC. in SA you have to travel an entire state for it. fucking bullshit.

>good way to earn quick cash
>most lucrative one pays 7k

Attached: retard.jpg (221x250, 5K)

this. im so glad 3 is finally getting some recognition lately.

why the fuck are you grinding out cash in SA? you get basically infinite money once you get the casinos.

SA > VC > V > IV > 3

opinions of IV have become a inverse bell curve over time. around before and after V came out pretty much everyone agreed it sucked. now people are coming to realize that it had much more soul than V

3 and LCS have the comfiest atmosphere for me personally, but I never finished LCS. 3 has the best missions, because of it's simplicity.

imagine needing to pretend to prefer the least popular one on an anonymous internet forum in order to feel good about yourself

>3> VC > SA
true, it nailed late 90's-early 00's atmosphere perfectly.

I miss Liberty City. I don't care what anyone thinks about it being overused.
