Dark Souls 1 is best dark souls. DS3 is just fan service with bloodborne movement and DS2 is just bad.

Dont get me wrong, I had fun playing ds3 and still boot it up every now and again. But it lacked the charm of the original. The home hub is shit, you have to warp back to firelink just to level up wasting a fuck ton of time at loading screens. Theres just so many things wrong with it.

It’s weird because it has Bloodborne combat speed while being a Dark Souls game. I didn’t really notice it until I went back and replayed its predecessors, but the difference is pretty big. It also sucks because it made Bloodborne feel less distinct, whereas if it were slow and methodical like the previous Souls games Bloodborne would feel more like its own thing
