Splatoon 1 had 2 years of splatfests, same as Splatoon 2.

long story short, humans went extinct, inklings get faxes from space, that were messages sent by humans millennia before, and they just conclude that what is written on the fax is what they must fight for.
So, this time it was order vs chaos.
Inklings are stupid as fuck tough (and that's canon) and god knows the true purpose of the messages sent by humans in the past.
Maybe if octolings started looking into them they might figure it out.

For me, 1 had a lot more identity than 2 does. Base Splatoon 2 felt more like an enhanced port and even the updates really only kick it up to feeling like Splatoon 1.5. Octo Expansion and Salmon Run were the only things that felt truly unique to the second game to me and one of those things was a paid DLC, it’s practically a standalone game with how disconnected it is to everything else besides unlocking the octoling.

All the Special weapons in Splatoon 1 were also better imo, sure most of them were broken but it was the fun kind of broken in a casual Aspect, the Kraken was really fucking cool.

Still sad that the last few maps in Splatoon 1 didn't show up in Splatoon 2, hope we see some return in Splatoon 3.

There is literally no reason not to keep it on, doubling slots on the Tee essentially make it to where you have 4 pieces of clothing on.

I'll never forgive Nintendo for stealing 10 of these Splatfests from me post-NSO launch. I played Splatoon 2 frequently up until NSO was enforced and didn't get a subscription because I didn't want to be a part of their shitty practices. Across that time, I lost touch with what was going on with Splatoon 2 and my skills deteriorated beyond repair. After using the free Amazon Prime trial trick to get 3 months of free NSO, I couldn't even bring myself to enjoy the game because it was so frustrating getting splatted by other players all while knowing I could have played better if not for my loss of muscle memory. Fuck NSO but I love Splatoon to death. Everything about this franchise is amazing even if Splatoon 2 was essentially Splatoon 0.5.

Okay I hate NSO as much as anyone but no. This was Turf War and after learning to play Splatoon, it will stick with you for at least over a year. After a year of not play Splatoon 1 and Jumping back in to 2, all I had to relearn was using the map correctly and normal jumping. I was still jumping through the ranks easily

I don't know why but the ending song of persona 4 hit me a lot harder than 3's did.
Objectively, 3 is sadder. But there's something about 4's that just does it to me. 3's is tragic, but a lot of the game has a similar theme that kind of prepares you for it, I guess?
In 4 you've spent all this time in the town and gotten used to being around everyone. And while of course p4 MC can visit again, it'll never be like it was where they can see each other everyday and hang out. I guess it's the feeling of something ending that kinda resonates with me. It'll never be like the old times again.

Can't say I really liked my time with FF6 because of its first half that takes nothing seriously and butches every good scenes either by having Ultros or having dumb jokes to undermine the tragedy.

I thought battle of the bands could be cool since they don't really get much attention in game. It could be tournament style like the TMNT ones or a poll to determine the two most popular bands to go against each other. Or just particular tracks.

As for scoring and stuff, not sure. It doesn't seem like trying to replicate clout would be a good idea so it could just be straight tallying wins, or best out of 3s where the winner gets a point toward their side.

I've never played this game a day in my life, never even heard about it until I met my fiancee. It was one of her favorite games, and I wish I could have played it together.

This dorky little love song had me in tears. It's so hard, looking for happiness without her, mustering a genuine smile. But I'm going to keep living for both her and myself. She blessed my life, and genuinely believed I did the same. That's something to be happy for. Knowing I made a genuine difference.
