Actually during the Refn/Kojima San Diego Comic Con panel Refn was quoted as saying that since he doesn't speak Japanese and Kojima doesn't speak English all of their interactions together require a third person their translating between them. So now we finally know that all those pictures of Kojima hanging out with people there is a guy just off camera translating everything they say.
