Mr. BIG is an excellent support stand between healing, despair shot, and stat-lowerers once you get the gun books, but it's damage is bad, so just don't do the submarine route.

Big is a weird stand. You have a gun but somehow this deflects attacks better than a big armored warrior, best durability in the game. Also the gun moves super duper fast like you shoot it with thoughts without holding it. Strength is decent but magic power is bad. A gun that heals and makes you a warrior but is soso damage, kinda weird. Also pretty energy efficient and does elemental damage too.

Well, anything with short range gets a huge boost with most of the ripple techniques, alternatively you can give the short ranged ones to a long range stand for the same reasons, or just dump them on a support stand since those tend to not have a lot of offensive power

most stands are humanoid, being made out of flesh, mr. big is made out of metal, so it's much more durable than other stands

abuse the fact that you have 4 party members to level up any other shitters you have too. aswan is a really good spot for grinding.

Once you get defense formation use guard tactic for maximum bulk.

It's not just a matter of how impervious to harm a stand is. Some of those stands are nigh invincible and don't obey normal physics regardless of what they seem to be made.

In game durability is an abstraction for how tough your stand is but also how much it protects you. A stand that is intangible may be invincible but not offer any protection for its weilder. Normally a stand taking the form of a small tool cannot protect your body from attacks as well as a stand that is large and tough. Mr. BIG, despite being a rifle, also seems to give its weilder superhuman toughness or protection somehow.

You cant dodge this attack, it axes most of enemy's hp and sp while possibly inflicting all debuffs on him too. Its speculated that Red Garland can punch enemy in all timelines and dimensions at once, or do something like D4C does with replacing the enemy with its weakest version

in actual jojo. Any swarm based stand is god tier due to have it fractions out damage.

HENCE why All along the watcher tower was able to just outlast a stand that reflects all damage dealt upon its user back out, like 70% of it. Guy stabbed himself to death, and all along the watch tower's master only got a fucking bloody lip

For general purpose as in Events and gameplay the best is Carpenters or Caravan. I forget which one was better than the other though in particular but probably Carpenters as Caravan has a hard time fighting other Stands.

For gameplay the best is Red Garland. It needs siginificantly boosted stats though for it to really shine through tho.
