Whenever I replay HL2 I console unlock all the chapters and start from ravenholm.
Everything that comes before is just forced cutscenes and horrendous pacing

You can skip chapters after completing the game, user.

MMod needs HL2 Update for the base game, but it basically comes with a bunch of subfolders for what you want to play. So HL2, Lost Coast, both Episodes, and MINERVA. You can also find people effectively making "compatibility" folders to use for other mods that usually stuck to vanilla HL2 stuff.

Because that's what you'd have to do on a normal playthrough. Skipping 1/3 of the game is not the way it's intended to be played. Not to mention that if you do a fresh install you have to use console commands to unlock all chapters

that's the Juniez model in the pic, but you're right about the original. and honestly they weren't the only ones to do it. devs back then had a habit of modeling only one side of a weapon for optimization purposes, and since the AR2 basically had no fucking animation besides shooting and reloading, it was an easy trick to get away with that was also a common tactic.

A lot of people think that the distinctive voice of Combine soldiers is because of a voice scrambler in their helmets, but looking at this model I think its actually their real voice, given that their tonsils seem to be torn out and replaced with a vocoder.
