Hard to say, Vorador dies almost everytiem (not to mention his family).

I never got too into the original battle system, but getting a full 9 straight hand was super satisfying.

that's one way to see it: "you did all that for nothing". Here's how i see it: i don't think Max would sacrifice an entire town for Chloe, despite how much she loves her. Plus, the fact that Chloe said she is willing to do it only makes this decision for Max easier. But this is just 1 reason why i picked that. The 2nd and most important is how much more memorable, painful and well done that ending is in terms of fucking both you, and Max up. The only people who know what Chloe became, how she redeemed herself and how she was willing to sacrifice herself for the town is you and Max. She has to live with this for ever after that, and can't tell anybody. Add to this that amazing song at the end and the cinematic and it's fucking perfect. I should add that i really love sad endings when done right. But that's just me

DOOM was pretty disappointing desu, far too easy. I don't know if there was a way to unlock a decent difficulty from the start, but the highest I could select was silly. I had far too much stuff on hand and everything died far too quickly.
