Not him, but I played Elex recently and it's fun up to a certain point, then it got repetitive and boring for me by the time I had the converters in Xacor left to take out.
Elex suffers the same problems as the other PB games which are that most of the content is in chapter one and that it gets worse afterwards, also that picking a faction doesn't really matter that much.

Elex is another soulles attempt at recreating gothic with only the barebone gothic structure but nothing else

Gothic and Morrowind are both great, just in different aspects. I always liked Morrowind for it's world, the exploration, finding powerful items and Gothic for it's thick atmosphere, the sense of progression for a shitter to the big guy.

Gothic doesn't have batman senses so it's already a hundred times better as an RPG

Technically having most of the content in Chapter 1 (although it really should extend to Chapter 2) makes sense. At least in Gothic 1, you're a newbie and your goal is relatively simple. There isn't a comfy demon that you're aware of that you need to kill so you have lots of time to fuck around doing menial tasks for other people, once you find out about the big bad and things get serious the linear progression makes sense.

Although the truth is they just ran out of time in Gothic 1 to develop the rest of the game.

Gothic's combat is actually genius if a bit clunky. Witcher 3's is just simplistic retarded button mashing.

but from what i remember you can't beat a vendor and steal his wares, only usual shit npcs have on them like gold, the weapon, some food idk. In any case, if you got them you got them.

lol dude, he gave you a quest to test oblivion (a spell that makes you forget) on a town NPC. If you use it on him what do you expect to happen ? Go challenge Valentino and beat him, then use oblivion on him. Talk to the bar owner first though, it's a good bonus

I played Gothic 2 for the first time a month ago and beat it in a week. Such a good game. The world feels actually alive.

It's the small stuff that really makes you go "KINO".
Like how you fall from a high place into water and gain experience. Or how everything seems so real. No dumb npcs that tell you to gather 10 wolf pelts. Instead they tell you "nigger learn how to skin wolves. Then bring them to me so I can sell them to that one retard for more money". You then can pickpocket him to get a notice who the retard is and sell them to him directly. But when you do that, the npc gets angry and will fight you the next time you see him. This is only a fictional quest, the real quests are obviously much more in depth.

Anyway, apparently Bethesda was inspired to develop radiant AI and NPCs acting more like actual characters by Gothic games.
In fact most of the elements that weren't in Morrowind but were in Oblivion in Skyrim were also in Gothic 2 like this video that keeps getting posted.

I really liked Legend of Grimrock, especially 2. It has very different gameplay from those but I really wished there was a game set in TES universe but with LoG gameplay and mechanics.

for that answer you have to search some russian forum, only their autism can possibly calculate that, you need to know every dragonroot, tablet and apple locations beforehand, but im sure its possible to get 160 str in chapter 1

i think there's 9 dragonroots in chapter 1 map, 2 elixirs of strength, >40 apples, 1 beer, 3 stews, 1 +10 str amulet and 1 +5 str ring, not counting tablets

i like risen 1 better than gothic 2, it also heavily inspired the souls games

I actually liked the pirate/voodoo setting, don't remember many games using it. And its dialogue is funny, as I've said I enjoyed it for what is is except for its combat.
Risen 3 sorta improved on Risen 2 by having a more refined gameplay and three different factions to choose from. But Patty getting a new design in each game and MA sounding like he's got throat cancer were my complaints.

my favorite thing to do in gothic 2 is to get basically a perfect chapter 1. That means achieving the maximum level possible without cheesing anything, or cheating at all. And i think you can reach around 18 like that. With the addon ofc. Well, i did use beast transformations to clear large areas of mobs but those aren't cheesing since you can buy them regularly
