Man, I love Dragon's Dogma but it isn't the best "open world" game. It's a great game that just happens to take place is a pretty bog standard world. The monsters in that world are sick though.

I forgot to mention that this is even more apparent when you admit that Bitterblack Isle is better than the open world.

It's not much of an open world. If you are the kind who calls other open world games empty, then I can't imagine why you'd like dragons dogmas open world.

DD's open world is dogshit and the crap design of it is probably one of the biggest reasons why people quit early on.

dragons dogma is a good game, but its a shit open world game
its barebones and dull

dont try to be a faggot

That would be Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

You can go everywhere from the start. It's open. It's also way to small to feel empty. I hate that all mobs are stuck in place though.

Dragons Dogma is generic at best and overall pretty awful in every aspect besides like the 2 viable classes.

nah dragons dogma didn't have a good open world, but it did have a small one with plenty of shit in it
admit it, you hated the travel aspect in your firstplaythrough and going into NG+ you just used like 10 portcrystals to warp everywhere you wanted, and the game was much more flavourful for it
although you can't beat wandering aimlessly through a forest and coming across a fucking chimera or a drake, that part is pretty great

the random encounters are pretty good in kingdom come the first 20 hours until they run out of new ones to throw at you and you just end up with the same ones over and over regardless of the outcome of your last encounter with them. Like the basedboy knight, even if you killed him last time he'll still run into you again later.

Bitterblack Isle is a proper dungeon
Dragon's Dogma was brought down by its small world and most enemies being too soft for endgame weapons

Nobody says that except the biggest mouthbreathing normalfags imaginable.

Skyrim isn't even a good game period.
It was shallow and boring even in 2011. Mods were never able to fix it.

The reason Dragon's Dogma was so good is because it was small and full of things to interact with, instead of being another shitty empty field that's big for the sake of being big.

Fuck off Todd

It doesn't take much to be a better game than Skyrim.

I'm doing my first playthrough actually. In RPGs like DD I usually like to do sorcerer builds. I got to Gran Soren and picked Magic Archer. Why does this class suck so much?

It doesn't suck it's just boring. Switch to Sorcerer.

pleb filter pure and simple

And that's still better than anything else.

>he thinks the shitty empty world is the good part of the game

I love DD but it's a SHIT open world game.

I just ended up pickpocketing their armor and selling it for free money after a while.
