Why

>Why

Why did we design robots with the ability to feel sorrow, or sadness, or love, or hate, or fear, or anger, or rage, or a sense of inequality, and why didn't we tweak their 1s and 0s over a fucking blue tooth connection when they started murdering their creators?

Why does this game act like one minute, they are real people, and the next minute it suddenly remembers "oh yeah these are actually robots lol oops"

Why did we not design them with a kill switch? Dr Frankenstein was criticized for not putting a kill switch in his monster, and that novels been around since 1820. Why did we put the retard scientists in charge of designing the android program.

Why does this game want me to feel sorrow for a dead robot? Why does this game act like once an androids dead, it's dead forever? Fucking Titanfall 2 BT-7274 gets absolutely annihilated, I pop his eyeball out and plug it in a new chassis, bish bash bosh, i got my robot titan back. Does this game ignore the fact that Connor can be reincarnated 5 times with the same personality? I'm supposed to forget that we could simply upload the personality into a new android that looks and functions identically? You know, all the clones of North, and Alice, and Kara, and Connor, and the Jerrys, that we repeatedly see?

Fuck this game.

the game's explanation for the first three is that the guy who designed the robots basically wanted them to become sapient and designed them that way for shits and giggles

Cus their designer was kind of a pretentious twat and apparently was good enough to have nobody question it throughout the whole production and testing process

I asked that dude Kaminski or whatever about rA9, and got stone walled. I never saw further than that. I got to look up a lot of those alternative paths I guess.

Just started playing. Why is it making me do chores?

When androids become a thing the second mine starts crying or questioning me i'm sending it back.

That's the "gameplay" apparently. I liked it in Heavy Rain when I was investigating a murder, this one was more tedious. The graphics are gorgeous is about the best I can say for it.

The good sf answer is that those kinds of emotions are (hypothetically) the drivers of useful intelligence and you can't have advanced ai without them as a building block. I don't know what this game does though.

he had a vision and is an expert in making these movie games

I've always found it ridiculous when fiction about robots becoming human is literally just a simple magic as that.
If robots achieve true consciousness, it would be nothing like a human, it would be much more efficient and they would feel emotions humans cannot understand and thoughts humans would not think of. They won't need us to think about what rights they should have, they'd figure it out and they'd be the ones who will have to deal with thinking about what rights humans should have.

And then they will be our overlords and at best humans should hope to be their pets.

I liked the opening where you were investigating and then negotiating. Some of it is ok, like the story telling where you can see how people are getting replaced by androids. Seems really preachy when they showed them all at the back of the bus. About as subtle as an air horn.

Robots don't have a soul.

How about the part at the android dump? That shit was awesome. I kept thinking about that part the rest of the game. I think a game like that where half mangled android corpses are glowing and their voices keep changing and digitizing would be awesome.

David cage is a hack.

Actual spoiler rA9 is nothing and never explained, the best theory is that it's just made up bullshit to both serve as an goal for deviants and a red herring to distract humans while they take over.

Cage has a weird fetish for house chores QTEs. Don't worry they all stop pretty quickly After Marcus leaves and Kara fights back against the fat guy.

This. Kamski is a professional irl shitposter.

Why didn't your mom put a kill switch on you OP haha

so you could have more fun gunning them down of course

Talk about living the life.

Not joking when I say this whole game was actually about Connor and Hank
The rest of it is just shit tier compared to them, they didn't just make the game, they are the fucking game
Best part is Clancy Brown and Bryan Dechart changed most of the shit script the hack who made the game wrote because it was just fucking completely awful

I read a manga about a robot girl falling in love with a human girl but the robots thought process and it's "love" was more robotic than i've ever seen in fiction. Basically she loved the girl but in the most artificial and robotic way i've ever read described, it's hard to articulate.

When it was first announced I thought it was going to be just that, an android detective game. I didn't realize we'd be forced to play as a bunch of retarded android lives matter hippies.

>I didn't realize we'd be forced to play as a bunch of retarded android lives matter hippies.
Markus's parts are at lot better when you play him as a murdering cunt hellbent on revolution.

It's not like primates have one though.

CAGES' GAMES SUCKS D I C K

Fuck androids

Ze brown hair girl pits are stinky and take ze shower,

The robot kid was the worst asspull twist

>tfw markus wont stop feeling guilty and ruins the bloody fun

It's not even that well hidden of a twist. If you merely take into consideration that this android is traveling with this robot kid and not needing to feed them nor did they ask to use the bathroom during long trips ever. You could chalk it up to shitty writing, but then you get to not Harriet Tubman's house and she drops the line "why do they hate us so much?". This literally only makes sense if they're the same thing.

And we know Kara is an android.

You can say I'm looking into it too much, but you can't constantly sprinkle hints everywhere and expect nobody to get it.

The game would be better if an android at the first time, human second, then having a cutscene that determines if she is a human or not

>Kamski jest

Attached: u357845.jpg (105x105, 10K)

Not that I disagree with you, but you'd have to rewrite so much about the story to make that happened. If you do escape, Todd only reports to authorities that Kara has gone rouge, not that his daughter is missing. The scene where she doesn't eat the spaghetti after a long trip. The scene where Kara puts a guassian blur on magazine to not recognize that the kid is an android even tho she gets factory reset later on so she would have to keep ignoring that personally along with the fact that she just can't magically WiFi with her. Yeah, there would be no point in trying, but I'm assuming she would have to do an AoE scan at some point and come up with an extra signal.

TLDR throw this entire game out and start again.

Fucking Westworld will be the death of us all

I just dropped that kid at the ship. Fuck her.

The answer is just "because David Cage." He's a horrible writer that lies and cheats constantly. There's no consistency to any attempts at establishing concepts or rules, and dialogue loses its meaning before characters can even finish saying it.

It's shit. It's pure shit. Really sad, too, because Quantic Dream clearly has some talented people, especially on the visual side, but they're saddled to the worst horse in the business.

Cage is terrible, but I doubt he's worse than whatever hack cobbled together The Order 1886, which didn't even have the excuse of the illusion of a branching narrative.

It also helps that it felt like Clancy Brown and Bryan Dechart seemed like the only two enjoying themselves. The other two robot fucks were so fucking stiff.

I really just want porn of Kara, Chore, or the Traci’s. Is that too much to ask?

27fps Dialog Simulators are not videogames.
They're basically 3D visual novels made by west's version of otakus: pretentious far-left numales

Attached: 1549066367141.png (512x422, 231K)

It was cool but man it was dumb as fuck
Why would they throw away all those spare parts when it's obvious they can be reused?

Attached: 1563054966734.jpg (1280x720, 185K)

>making all of Kara's struggles null and void because of 'muh twist'
Fuck David Cage, truly the biggest hack of our times

Attached: 1562776910810.jpg (471x471, 26K)

They not only changed most of the existing script, they added to it. Connor's coin tricks were added by Bryan, and then Clancy wanted to add in a scene where Hank tries to copy Connor's coin tricks.

this is my headcanon as well. I don't think there is enough support for that theory though. A good concept would be some implied pedophile creating robots for the uprising, so that the world will have eternal lolis. But I doubt they would ever do that.

They didn't change 'most of the existing script' faggot, they changed about 5 lines across the entire game and Bryan added the wink in that one line. You're also wrong about the coin shit, that was written from the start

Whats it called sounds interesting

Nice try, Cage. You aren't fooling me, though

>The robot kid was the worst asspull twist
It's not as bad as "Shelby is the killer" from Heavy Rain, but it's definitely the worst DBH has to offer.

Kara is a Cyberlife android filled with tons of knowledge and constant internet access, and the least of these would be knowing Cyberlife's up-to-date catalog of products. So she should have known immediately that Alice was a childbot. There's also the biophysiological differences between humans and androids that I doubt would be that difficult to notice, especially with all the hugging and snuggling Kara and Alice do.

Moving past that, Kara finds a magazine early in the game with the Alicebot model on the cover, but doesn't process it because her maternal instincts prevent her from believing it. This is after her memory's been reset and before she has established a bond with Alice, but fine. So why doesn't this selective ignoring of reality happen when she encounters another Alicebot in Jericho, which is after she's gone full mommy with Alice?

And then there's the fridge logic madness of Todd buying not just Kara but also Alice, which makes zero fucking sense no matter how hard you try to twist the whole "Todd is mentally unbalanced" angle.

In short, fuck David Cage.

This. The gane droos some really heavy hints that Kamski is an autist who hates humans and thinks androids are perfection.

How about mountains of Connor/ Hank slash porn? Will that do?

How do you go from 1s and 0s to LOL BROWN ANDROID JEUDO-BOLSHEVISM

Connor makes me wet

Your inverted-penis wound doesn't lubricate itself.

Because raycism is bad, m'kay?

>get this from ps+
>made the maid bot and the kid die right at the start
>gonna make the revolutionary android fuck up everything so he stays a slave
>gonna make the detective bot only help humans and make it his mission to put those disgusting deviants behind bars
FUCK androids

>thinking david "can't write one creative page" cage put any thought into it

Because David Cage

You can say the same about most media once you break it down to your most basic compenents. It's literally all about if and how much you're willing to immerse yourself into the world. For example a lot of Pixar movies revolve around inane objects or creatures we don't thimk twice about and yet the movies bring strong reactions out of people.

Attached: 51-difUGanL._SY445_.jpg (317x445, 35K)

Took you long enough.
The "game" is fun as a braindead pop-corn movie for an evening or two, if you're looking for anything deeper, you're in the wrong neighborhood.
The writing as a whole is so immature, naive, preachy and inconsistent that it's embarrassing to even start critiquing it properly.

most of the androids in the dump are old models, there's only a few deviant.

Can stories about androids ever not have the villain be the android's creator with a god complex?

That's still a lot of materials being wasted, they could be recycled pretty easily to make newer androids or something
I feel like it was Cage going 'I WANT AN ANDROID HELL' and not thinking about the consequences

>I feel like it was Cage going 'I WANT A DRAMATIC XYZ EXPOSITION' and not thinking about the consequences
Yeah pretty much every quantic dream game.
