I wish Rockstar or Bungie would reference it somehow. Maybe have a cosmetic that replaces your Spartan's helmet with her head? Or have cutscenes from the game play on the TV in GTA 6

This.
Have it installed right now, actually.

Oh god, I played the shit out of that game. Although some chapters were terrible, 1&6 were my fav

Guru Larry did the box art.

The way the guards yelled about dying stuck with me. Also that scene where she jumps in acid and all her clothes melt off and she's naked.

Man I played the shit out of this when I was younger. Why is Zemekis black though?

Why can't this get an HD remake reee

I still have a hard time believing that fat fuck Larry made this boxart. It's very surreal somehow.

Been waitin for it to come to steam since forever. This one and NOLF...not sure what sort of complications are preventing either of these though. I'll just have to play them without muh Steam and cheevos.

I wouldn't hold my breath. The fact even GOG hasn't picked them up is telling... they're either in "copyright hell" or nobody who can port them has interest. Probably the former, because I think GOG actively pursues games like these.

No, I miss that, too

Attached: 220px-Indiana_Jones_and_the_Emperor's_Tomb_Coverart.png (220x293, 132K)

Nolf will literally never get a modern release. It’s copyright ownership is a complete clusterfuck and many that tried to get to the bottom of it gave up every time.

Attached: 81adsZ7SrNS.AC_SL1500_.jpg (1304x1500, 227K)

Night Dive, the people who managed to free System Shock, tried very hard to get NOLF but gave up. Short story is nobody knows whether the IP is owned by Warner Bros., Fox or Activision. The contracts for the games are apparently only in hard copy format and filed away in some warehouse archive somewhere and nobody has any interest in digging them up. Warner Bros., who own Monolith these days, said if it turns out they own the IP they aren't selling. At that point Night Dive just decided "Fuck it." The really sad thing is Night Dive had already acquired all the game assets, including the source code, and completed a port to modern systems. It's probably never going to be released.

i wish the sequel wasn't hot garbage

Attached: 58311_front.jpg (1500x2114, 334K)

Someone should claim to be working on a fan remake. I bet the lawyers of each respective studio would dredge up the papers real quick all on their own if they thought they had a buck to make or a copyright to guard.

Attached: 1556580089699.jpg (502x699, 44K)

Nah, one of them will issue a cease and desist by default. They'd only actually need to dig up the contract if it's contested which it won't be because it's expensive and stupid to fight a cease and desist without even knowing if you have any legal ground to stand on.

First thing I did when I hacked my PS3 was download the japanese version of this (already beat it in english and the dub voices are awful)
I remember seeing it on cinematech when I was like 9 and literally feeling my inner moe weeb fag awakening for the first time.

it was amazing

Yeah you're clearly the only person who misses games from a widely loved company that was consistently putting out classics.

Oni is based.

I want a HD update for Black & White.

Not as much as i

I guess I'm not the only one then.

Attached: fc.jpg (640x480, 58K)

Sky Captain is here. Muhahahahahahahaha!

Rocket: Robot on Wheels.

I know I'm not the only one but it doesn't deserve to be forgotten.

That game played like shit on release though. It even reviewed poorly - I think the metacritic is like 60.

That's more like your taste evolved than the game "aging poorly"

Good taste.

I miss it too, you're wrong.

Attached: pd.jpg (1024x768, 64K)

Deliriously based, I miss having sleepovers in gradeschool staying up all night playing deathmatch with friends on this.

I was so hyped when I saw some trailers of Remember Me, that I hoped for it to be a spiritual sequel to ONI of sorts. It was a neat game, but nothing like ONI.

(you)

How do you miss it? Did every copy disappear in the last day?

I miss ONI, think about it regularly, talked about it with a friend of mine just last week.

Sorry gman, this game sucked. The art was hot but the gameplay was clunky and bad.
And it had no excuse, either. This was literally a year before Jedi Knight II. So third person melee mechanics wasn't a technical limitation anymore.

Jerking it to her clothes coming off was about the only use the game had.

No judge.

Your not alone friend

All around me are familiar faces....

Attached: my empire of dirt.jpg (904x904, 865K)

I had a magazine that had a walkthrough in detail that I read multiple times it was so fascinating. Once I finally got my hands on it a couple years back, all I could think was "Wow, what an odd game."

Still got my ps2 copy and grabbed it for PC years later via torrent. Picked up a copy of the Japanese PC version when I was an English teacher. Konoko's voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi and Shinatama was Ayako Kawasumi.

Fortunately, the IP isn't very important in this case. The actual lore is bonkers and can be ignored. All you need to do is have a spiritual successor ape the gameplay if you ever want a sequel, and leave behind all that "womenless post-apocolypse" setting. It was an interesting take, but not important.

Gotham Imposters was good? I kind of like the concept, but I wouldn't have guessed.

I know it was a bastardization of a reboot, but the game played so damn good.

You missed out big time. Extremely fun. Completely off the wall gadgets for you to fuck around with. I've yet to find another FPS that has a gun that shoots angry parrots.

Attached: ricochet.png (802x629, 611K)

I'm dead serious. Has the most hilarious acting in the entire series, still creepy as hell thanks to the setting, the first person view was good for a non-mainline game and great music as opposed to 7's trash soundtrack. Could easily remake this game as a budget VR title. Expand a bit more on Ark's character and he'd instantly be a better protagonist than the guy from 7 too.

Is the controls for this game as horrible as I remember them being?

When you create your Rockstar account, I'm pretty sure you can pick a profile icon from this game.

Was just thinking about these games yesterday, they had great atmosphere and that weird From shtick but I wonder how it would translate into a modern game.

>best combat in the genre
>smooth controls
>actually decent ai that doesn't have a single problem to beat you in groups or when you unconcious

I honestly don't know why they couldn't make it this.
I mean, the tech was all already there by the time infinite came out, just create somehub based levels with the skyhook and random encounters in explorable building and you basically had the trailer.

Looks like a more scripted version of the game we got

Attached: hack2.jpg (2000x1132, 722K)

My fellow person of colour.

If you're looking for a Time Crisis style game, sure. It really is just first person RE but no puzzles. Just finding a thing to put in a thing and the occasional switch to flip. I still play it sometimes on my playstation classic.

Command was the last great Starfox game

So many hidden gems on this console

Attached: image.jpg (480x430, 55K)

Normally I'd say anything from PS2 era onward doesn't need more than a remaster, but I'd kill for a remake of the original quadrilogy. The remaster of GU was great but I'll always have fond memories of that first series.

Attached: 61K22XGBQML._SX342_.jpg (342x334, 35K)

Indeed. Why did the controller have to be so fucking terrible.

Attached: 1277177106798.jpg (536x400, 23K)

I was going to post this so I'm glad I'm not the only one

Because Levine. It's an open secret that what we got was made in 6 months after scrapping the original concept.

Unironically. I wish there are more games like it.

I still love it but only because of the VMU stuff, it would have been god tier with a second joystick and the wire on the top.

Really deserves a reboot. I fucking loved the setting too, running around in high-tech industrial complexes and airports.

I mean, if you no longer own the game itself it's possible. A bunch of the stuff in this thread was never released digitally unless you include piracy and emulation.

The game where this came from is called Evil Zone.

Literally the only character anyone played

Still a 10/10

DUDE rockstar made weeb shit?

I played the demo over and over again but never the full game, since the demo would make my computer overheat.

My fellow .hacker

Attached: image.jpg (1920x1080, 141K)

When i looked at this: bladeandepsilon.com/ez/info.html
I immediately noticed the interesting storylines and buildup for the main characters and their worlds, the problem lies that all this stuff was not handled in the main game due to limitations
>Who are composed the forces of the dark world and the Cryos?
>What is Vice, Gillaclva and Faily appearance?
All stuff that will remain unanswered, the biggest point is that the characters life/ backstory were not shown in any way, the game was likely made with not that much of a budget as shown for being simple, the devs. put too much buildup for the world and the char., but the game itself was poorly promoted as such is underrated.
At the end of the day, its was an ambitious project that was handled poorly and released in a not suited period as it deserved more, the devs. saw it just as fun project and dropped it to focus [still currently to wwe], which is bad.
>Overall i would say this franchise needed a suited company to work with to expand the game/made a sequel, but a manga/anime would have worked better.

>the game was likely made with not that much of a budget
The Japanese version had the topest of tier anime voice actors from the 90's.

The game has also an amazing soundtrack i'll tell you that, it needed that the char. moveset's had different imputs to better differentiate them, but overall it just needed to be released in a period where it falled under more eyes so at least a solid notable fanbase would have been made, though i would say that the WWE company is not suited for the series [especially currently].

Zoids battle legends. Tfw zoids vs 3 never came to the west.
