And the Dream/Nightmare realms in BB are actually layered.
From highest to lowest, so even then, there's some rhyme and reason to it.
>Nightmare of Mensis (the castle of Mensis can be seen from the Frontier)
>Nightmare Frontier
>Fishing Hamlet (ship masts can be seen poking out of the mist below the Frontier)
>Hunter's Nightmare (snail woman falls from the sky)
Also, all these worlds exist up in the Cosmos, in the sky.
