Embrace the jollyroger pill. Limitless media, literature, and tools at your fingertips. Do not become a slave to publisher greed who put exorbitant pricetags on unlimited produced free information. Donate directly to your favorite developers, directors, and artists. Do not pay the meddling middle men.

Just call it pirating you zoomer nigger.

Actually happened to me earlier this year. Ironically it wasn't the fire that destroyed everything but the water damage from the hoses used to put it out.

why is roger jolly?

I have on PC because no choice, but not on consoles. Console digital is very untrustworthy.

Piracy is neither a color or a texture, newfag cancer.

Based and redpilled.

>anecdotal evidence
Great thread.

Free PS3 games

>Digital media only got ruined to this guy, it's anecdotal, my ephemeral media is actually ethereal
Step 1. Denial

>my digital ownership is forever
lol

My digital ownership doesn't immediately disappear as soon as a dust bunny comes into contact with my disk. So yes, it's feasibly infinitely more reliable than physical.

>digital copies
>can be copied and backed up indefinitely with as much redundancy as you want and stored in as many off-site locations as you want
>nothing short of total planetary annihilation will actually result in loss of data

>physical media
>you've only got the one (1) physical copy
>any you copy you make is counterfeit and does not replace the original
>pray that you never have a fire/flood

lol

>>can be copied and backed up indefinitely with as much redundancy as you want and stored in as many off-site locations as you want
Steam games have DRM you know, and if they don't, you will always be able to pirate the original game anyway. Retard lol.

More people have lost all their digital games through account bans than people have lost their physical games in house fires.

good, that is what you get for collecting plastic like an idiot.

>More people have lost all their digital games through account bans than people have lost their physical games in house fires
I wasn't aware that physical copies of the same game didn't link up with the master server and were never banned. Thanks for the heads up, you disingenuous clod.

>Steam games have DRM you know
Get it on GOG, lol.

Because you can never make me OP. See you next thread.

>getting banned once and losing all your games is the same as getting banned in a multiplayer of one game

Or on a torrent, lol. Same exact thing but without money. A physical owner could do that too.

F

>Go digital
>all your shit is linked to some account you have no control over
No

>not buying your discs and digitalizing them immediately to preserve them for the future in case something happens to the disc
>not avoiding buying anything new so you can just buy the disc and digital version on sale for less than half of what you'd buy it new
Lmao brainlets

>A possible bad outcome should be a major deterrence
Is that why Yea Forums never leaves their house? Going outside could risk dying?

Its not the dying. Its that if you get culturally enriched, you die in a null and nobody learns from it. If you die because a car ran you over while you were crossing a street, someones going to process the tragedy, maybe even put a stop sign where you died or repaint the crossings on that street.

Death by cultural enrichment means nothing happens. The most you get is whispers from strangers that you might've deserved it, because theres no other reasons for why you died. You don't even get the death of a lemming. The world just pushes you under a rug while looking the other way.
