Another Eden. Apparently made by the guys who did Chrono Trigger. It plays very much like an old-fashioned RPG. You get to navigate the world by actually walking around. There's no energy system. There are waifus but it's not a game revolving around collecting waifus.

I guess it will also depend on what you don't like about Madoka. The game is certainly not as dark as Madoka and there's a lot of SoL stuff, although there is still some suffering here and there and a lot of tragic backstories. The most recent story event (and the first one in NA) barely had anything to do with magical girl stuff, it was mostly just the main character of the event being really gay.

Basically, the setting is a city where Witches are a lot more plentiful and powerful, so Magical Girls are encouraged to team up rather than fight solo.

lots of quality of life changes, you missed out on tons of permanent stat boosts from events. Lots more streamlined, still the overall same game, just new units with new gimmicks

They are bringing back some of the events so people that missed the stat boosts the first time can go at it again, but yeah, sucks man. afaik, there's a permanent stat boost for fire, light, water, and wind, but not one for darkness yet

Basically, Rika saved Ren from committing suicide and helped her find meaning in life, and now Ren has a really intense and very adorable crush on her.

It's changed pretty significantly, prints were dropped from the summoning pool entirely and there's been a number of new modes added. You missed a couple facilities but they're getting into reruns for those anyways and frankly the stat boost from them has always been highly overrated.

Gala should be this week or next, it's a good time to pick it back up.

Sky came out for iOS recently. It’s basically Journey, same devs and design philosophy, but a lot more social oriented. It’s pretty comfy desu fampai but you may want to hold out on it since it’s coming to PC and consoles “”SOON””. That’s what I’m doing after I tried it out

Its deeper than most PC games and you can play it on your fucking phone. You want to be a pirate? You can attack whoever the fuck you want and take their shit. You wanna be a bounty hunter? Acquire a death warrant from any faction and become authorized to hunt criminal scum. You want to climb the military ranks of your favorite faction? Do it and eventually you'll get access to the most powerful ships and tech your faction has to offer. You think trade permits are bullshit and want to smuggle? Outfit your ship with hidden cargo bays and afterburners and train your captain and officers to bypass scanners and escape detection. Stash your illicit goods on remote planets and wait for their price toincrease. Want to search for lost artifacts on ancient planets? Do it. Do fucking anything you want because this game is amazing. You can even get it on PC if you want.

They made a game for that too called Templar Battleforce. It's a turn based game that works like xcom with dice instead of percentages.

Every mobile game either feels incredibly cheap and poorly made or turns into a grindfest/paywall after a little bit of play.

You wont regret it. Its about 7 dollars on mobile but it's worth five times that and has no in app purchases. I've been playing Trese Brother games for years and they never get old. They do a great job of showing what mobile games COULD be if developers actually gave a shit. You can talk with the developers directly just by getting on their discord or adding them on steam.
