Get the guys who worked on Bioshock 2 to make another one

Make a Bioshock in space.

It can't just let it rest in peace.

>Bioshock 2
I meant Minerva's Den, my bad

>Bioshock in space
I got you senpai

50 year timeskip.

Or set it in space.

Make a new game unrelated to the shitty story of Infinite. There are some obvious settings you could use like underground/inside a volcano or in space (it would be steampunk in space so different from System Shock).

Exactly this. Bioshock 2 was leagues better than the first, and was surprisingly not very stale given that the team was forced to make another Rapture game. Give em creative freedom and I'm sure a hypothetical Bioshock 3 would have been great

>implying

Attached: Levine-1-750x400.jpg (750x400, 34K)

Set underground using a volcanos geothermal to power the city. Strong green emphasis and sustainability. Too many people leads to degrading conditions and secret race of rat people are attacking but are being covered up by the government. Initially they are presented as peaceful and sympathetic. Once the city starts to fall the rats start the genocide.

Make it a real immersive sim

he has a weird shaped head

>Bioshock needs to be a retarded anthology series because ???
Do you actually agree with Infinite's retarded le lighthouse and le city and le girl plot for the fucking multiverse? Bioshock 1 and 2 didn't have to rely on that and the story was still miles ahead of what was presented in Infinite.

Jump ship already.
We already have a successor.
one can hope

best game of the last few years imo

>We'll never get a Prey 2 because Bethesda can't into marketing and initially killed positive reception among hardcore fans by taking the Prey name

It's not fair
youtube.com/watch?v=dPPJZNLk65k

Make a city in the prehistoric times, with fucking dinosaurs.

They need to get on the outrage marketing trend.
So they've made fun of objectivism and nationalistic fundamentalism, make Bioshock: The gender wars.
Rake in the outrage dollar from gullible zoomers and younger millennials.

Prey is the nigger of Bioshock clones, sorry fellas. They should have used a different name and a enemies that weren't generic black blob aliens.

why does it feel like a chore to get through bioshock 1, but i feel like i can replay bioshock infinite any day?
is elizabeth just that charming?

No you’re just autistic user

No, you just enjoy playing video games that play exactly like Call of Duty.

Maybe you just like escort quests you genetic dead end.

Probably because you don't feel like you are alone.
In Bioshock 1 you have a radio, Ryan, and little sisters if you save them, the rest are hostile enemies.
I like B1 more, but I agree that is more easy to replay Infinite.

it never needed to be a series in the first place, ken should just make a new game. bioshock infinite should have just been a new IP

>OST by Mick Gordon
Holy shit the lad is a genius, i'm playing Prey in these days and it's Fantastic, the soundtrack really nails the atmosphere

>Prey is shi-

Delete 2 and then never make another one.

2 had the best gameplay of them all.

damn I would never think of this

>look at this thinly veiled air-duct to get into a closed-off room section, doesn't this prove that the game is AWESOME AND COOL?
I realize that for you, those pretty lights must be very impressionable, but it doesn't change any of the facts about the game.

>-t

>that part where you go into the nightclub and a million phantoms pop up and the music kicks in as an alien pub fight begins
Absolute kino

that's just System Shock 2 and nuPrey

>Thinks the original Bioshock is good
>Thinks Prey is shit, and a Bioshock clone instead of a System Shock clone
Wew

I got System Shock 1 and 2, tried the first 1 but was too outdated and couldn't bring myself to finish it....

Bioshock set in 1990s where a US Naval Diver discovers what remains of rapture

>bioshock clone
bait?

Are you able to develop those loose thoughts into words and explain your feelings better instead of just shitting on your keyboard?

SS1 is more fun if you think of it as a 3d metroidvania instead of an FPS/RPG

play the EE of 1 or with mouselook mod, plays perfect even in 2019

I never played the new Prey because it seemed grossly boring and shit all around. Does it actually have an inventory system like System Shock? If yes, then it's a System Shock clone, but that doesn't change much from the fact that Bioshock inspired it heavily, especially with the art-deco decoration for the maps.

Cope.
Prey is GOTG.

Attached: Prey - Couch assault.webm (920x518, 2.84M)

2 is the best though, 1's gameplay feels primitive in comparison and there's an actual narrative beyond endless fetch quests and "audiologs lmao"

Why are you being go angry and negative user? Is this the best way to spend your Sunday?

It already is. They just made the conventional shooting option really accessible and the game is too easy in general so people didn't feel as compelled to use the mechanics to their fullest. Why worry about alternate methods when you can just trade damage with a Big Daddy and chug health packs till it's dead?
SS2 was this way as well, to a degree. Marine+Standard Weapons with a little bit of tech can make the game a cakewalk.
Deus Ex and Thief did it best by making guns really inaccurate by default and the sword combat a last-ditch measure. You have to go out of your way to play it that way, so you learn other methods out of necessity.

start working on the vita game again but put it on switch

my "not a mimic" stickynote gets a lot of questions answered by the stickynote

>i kill black blob enemy! yaaaay!
Truly, the most base form of entertainment.

Is it a guarantee that the series got the axe? They are so retarded for how they dropped the ball on this. It’s a great game they just shouldn’t have named it prey and they should have marketed better. I didn’t hear about it once until the day it came out.

Prey suffers from very low enemy variety.
>crawling goo
>bipedal goo
>flying goo

It would be ok if it wasn't so combat focused.
Wasted potential.

Maybe he will when you write something that isn't an autistic unintelligible screed.

>base

user you're getting so frustrated you're losing your grammar and spelling capabilities

>I never played the new Prey
Yet you're here giving out heavy opinions on how it's shit and Bioshock clone. I hate this place.
It's as close to SS as you can get in 2017.
The map is a metroidvania kind, it opens up little and requires some backtracking shortened by shortcuts. It's not a linear shooter like bioshock.
The gameplay is more RPG oriented, skills are not all combat focused, unlike in bioshock. You have an inventory and resources managment.

>and they should have marketed better.

Bethesda should market everything better. Fun fact, the new Wolfenstien game comes out in five days

i wish the mimics were more lethal and a little less predictable after playing the game for 30 minutes

>the new Wolfenstien game
I didn't even know this existed.

>'This game is shit'
>"I never played the new Prey"

Wew

Bioshock 2 is only best in gameplay. It’s story is fine, but it’s not as interesting as 1

Right, so, it's just a System Shock clone trying to look like Bioshock. What about the uninspired black blob enemies? Are those ackshually interesting because of reasons?

how about you play the game and find out for yourself, nigger

Attached: 1555367604158.jpg (442x460, 125K)

I really liked bioshock 2 even though everyone says it's shit except for slightly better combat over the first

why don't you actually play the game instead of spouting rubbish about it?

I'm seeing a pattern here.

Why aren't you ranking Prey in there? It's as much of a Bioshock game as any!

>Bioshock 1 above 2
The sign of a brainlet.

overused but entertaining ideas I've seen from anons
>underground volcano or journey to the center of the earth-esque
>cyberspace
>space station
>terraformed space colony

Any other overdone themes bioshock could fit well in?

I really liked 2 the gameplay was a huge improvement, but sofia lamb was such a weak villian
the best part of 2 (beside the Den) is pic related

Attached: 1545436814693.png (922x833, 222K)

Why do you retards suddenly think that Bioshock needs to be an anthology with a city with a gimmick?

because it is

No it isn't. The two mainline games are set in Rapture, then the fuck-up spin-off tries to shoehorn itself in with a last minute re-write even though nothing about it is similar with Bioshock.

The concept of an immersive sim (Which bioshock isn't) is a gated off place that has its own quirks and rules.
You can run around it like Deus Ex did by uniforming the whole planet under one tune, but those games require a consistent theme.
A Bioshock that swaps from jungle to city woudn't work because the systems the game uses for the player to make his choices would have to vary too much

I feel this way cause of Columbia, absolute beautiful setting. Shame the game had such limited exploration. Also B1 and Infinite had almost the exact same gameplay. Go play them both on their most hardest difficulty.

>hardcore fans

Prey 1 didn't have hardcore fans. It barely had fans. It was a small, obscure game that, while great, was barely noticed by the gaming community at large.

True. I completed SS2 twice and the assault rifle paired with max standard weapons just wrecks everything.
The problem with Bioshock was that it was too easy. Unless you play on the high difficulty levels you can just burn through health packs and brute force Big Daddies. I didn't figure out that I could stack explosive barrels along their patrol routes and IED them until I played on the Survivor difficulty, which turns everything into a damage sponge.

>B1 and Infinite had almost the exact same gameplay
No, they didn't. Infinite plays almost exactly like Call of Duty, the only thing that CoD doesn't do that Infinite goes is in the skyhook gimmick that barely does anything other than putting the player in literal rails through the map. There's even a section where you can call in Songbird as an airstrike, much like how you can call in fire support in Call of Duty.

To me that's a staple of the series, and one of the pieces of the puzzle that makes bioshock what it is. Some obtuse setting such as underwater, in the sky, deep in space wherea group of man is cut off from the general population and allowed to go wild in accordance with the majority beliefs of its inhabitants. id welcome a bioshock game that could do it without a unique setting but I find it to be part of the fun in seeing how a group of people adapted to some strange living condition as well.

that skyhook shit happened only a few times. and the fucking songbird happened at the end ofr the game lol. Stop. The shooting/plasmids weren't anything special in B1 and B2. Not sure why people wanna squeeze in the shooting argument in Infinite when you can shit on that game for nearly anything else.

I'd argue the 2's story holds up better than 1. 1 is a one trick pony. Once you know the twist, it's not so interesting anymore. Rather than focusing on the philosophical, 2 focuses on telling an emotional story that can be experienced over and over and still pull the player's heart strings.

I honestly liked her.
Maybe because I was kind of raised on anglo philosphy and that's what she's built around.

Burial At Sea was unironically my favorite of all bioshock games and dlc. The girl story is dumb but they nailed the tone and atmosphere in infinite and its dlc

yea, bural at sea part one was worth it just to see, hear, and feel rapture before it was completely torn apart even if the story is a complete clusterfuck

Attached: 1551129454690.jpg (1920x800, 373K)

B1 is too hard

They also made gone home so ehh...
They are.

Make the SWAT4 mod it was meant to be

battle royale

There should be the remake coming out next year which will make it more playable.

The exact opposite for me. Everything about infinite is obnoxious, the sound, music, enemies, the weapons, the characters, every fucking thing is obnoxious.

I find an underwater city with superpowers more believable than some fucking flying 1865 shithole setting fire to New York City in 1984 when the Cold War was so warm NORAD could fucking detect gorbachev's braps.

It just screamed try hard.

Meanwhile Bioshock 1 started off as a simple humble SWAT 4 mod. Idk if Kevine Levine got drunk with power during the creative process or what, but that game is first time I felt genuinely insulted just playing it.

Doom 3 is a better SS clone and that's saying something

Attached: Doom3BFG_VR02.webm (500x562, 2.93M)

Boring pos game

successor of map and atmosphere design

more varients of enemies would be good

it's a good series lol all the games are good in their own ways. bioshock is obviously the best game but the others are good enough. it's a good series. anyone seething about infinite is just too dumb to wrap their head around it

Let it die

The team for 2 probably knew there was no chance to one up 1s story. So rather than focusing on that (cough cough Infinite) they focused on refining the gameplay and a little bit of the lore such as the MP.

Its that realistic outlook this industry surely needs. So many series try to reinvent the wheel.

Attached: 1.gif (1002x1120, 3.75M)

>hol up hacker

Infinite should have been a different series. "Skyshock" or something like that.

Simple. A three part game detailing the different eras of Rapture.
Story of an average Joe who lives through Rapture until it's final days

Part 1
>Your guy is called MacSomething (only ever get called by first name), came to Rapture and started a family.
>Starts out very early in Rapture history
>No war, no insane splicing, nothing his truly gone to shit yet
>Poverty is real though and your man is forced to do shady work to make ends meet and to feed his family.
>You get work under Frank Fontaine doing dirty shit
>Your guy predicts that Rapture is going to quickly go to shit, tries to escape with a submarine and favours from Fontaine
>Everything is going smoothly, as you're getting ready to leave, Frank asks for your full name since you've done good business with him at this point. You reveal that your name is Atlas.
>Family loaded on to a sub, things go to hell and they die in an explosion. Your man calls out their names, Patrick and Moira.
>It's unclear as to whether Frank betrayed you or Andrew Ryan's men attacked.
>There isn't much significance to the names other than the fact that Frank will base his fake persona off of you later
>Having gone a bit crazy with grief and having nothing left to lose, your guy participates in the civil war - siding with either Andrew Ryan or Frank Fontaine
>You're given the option to start splicing and become a genuine monster, or stay pure and just let the guns do your talking. This is the moment that decides how your character plays out in the future.
>This is the climax of part 1.

Part 2
>Timeskip to just before Andrew Ryan dies
>Your guy is either an Adam Junkie looking for their next hit, or a pure human struggling to survive by finding clean food and water
>This portion of the game revolves around the city's reaction to Andrew Ryan dying and a massive chunk of Little Sisters going missing (because either Jack killed them all or has escaped with them)
>You're either working with a band of similar survivors trying to find a safe place to exist (and escape)
>Or you're a Splicer just fucking shit up and going to war with other Splicers to try and get their adam
>Eventually Sophia Lamb will come in to prominence and you'll do work for her
>If you're a normal human, it's because you want to try and make Rapture a safer place
>If you're a Splicer, you're just in it for the promise of free and easy Adam
>A lot of what you do is to help set up the scenario for Bioshock 2 and its DLC
>You still have the choice to start or stop splicing
>There's nothing really significant happening her besides just experiencing Rapture as it slowly decays
>Gameplay focuses on a mix of survival and combat
>Ends around the time Subject Delta wakes up, probably. I don't really know.

infinite was the most retarded bullshit in terms of plot. so many things wrong with it and so many contradictions its just fucking ridiculous they released it as is. only pretentious reddit faggots like you want to pretend you're some kind of intellectual who it akshully makes sense for so you can finally feel like you're smart when in reality you are the dumbest motherfucker. I hope your mother gets raped by a railroad spike nigger

What would the philosphical themes of this story be?

>doom 3 in VR
That game scares me to this day, I would not be able to handle that.

Part 3
>Another timeskip to the latest portions of Rapture, the city is all but destroyed
>This is where the biggest gameplay divergence takes place, and who you're playing as can vary greatly

>If you chose to stay clean and pure, your character will have aged significantly - becoming weak and old
>Gameplay will be purely survival focused
>Not only do you have to be concerned about finding scraps of food and water, but oxygen is also a key concern
>Heavy focus on figuring out how to deal with oxygen starvation and its effects
>There wont be enemies you can fight, but there will be crazed, adam-starved monstrous Splicers lurking around that can and will kill you
>You can hardly fight back, only being able to use a handgun to ward them away
>Think Alien Isolation
>Other gameplay will involve wandering around the ocean floor in a heavy diving suit, somewhat open world
>It'll be dark and lonely and very depressing

>If you chose to go full Splicer, you'll instead be playing as a monster
>Gameplay will be entirely combat based
>The only resource you need is Adam, which is basically just used to upgrade you further
>Gameplay focus is basically entirely boss fights. You hunt down other Splicer Monsters to kill them and take their Adam
>Heavy emphasis on being able to evolve and mutate to suit your combat style, will see physical changes in your character

>Both stories will eventually converge to the same final quest
>One (other) sane, pure human remains in Rapture
>They're able to get in contact with you and asks for your help (if you're a Splicer monster, you'll be intelligent and able to communicate still)
>The survivor has found a Bathysphere and has been working to repair it and escape Rapture, but needs a few more parts.
>If you help him, he promises to help you back.
>After you've helped him, it's revealed the Bathysphere only fits one, this is where multiple endings can now happen...

Bioshock Battle Royale

Attached: 1537257460570.jpg (522x522, 110K)

It's dead. Infinite killed it.

Reboot it, forget about infinite, that’s when the series went full reddit IQ.

Have they fixed the issues with the Bioshock trilogy remaster? I know that there was graphical issues and the PS4 version had a bug that made each new save file grow in size until you couldn't save anymore. If those were fixed, I'd probably think about picking it up for cheap.

It still crashes constantly for me.

Endings for Survivor Main Character:
>A) Allow him to leave, spend the rest of your days in his hideout alone, surviving off his remaining food/oxygen.
>B) Kill him and take the Bathysphere for yourself, spend the last of your days on the surface - for however long you have left until age takes you.
>C) Sabotage the Bathsphere and let him die as he tries to leave with it. Ends the same as A otherwise.
>D) Kill him but don't take the Bathysphere. You can also optionally destroy it. Otherwise, Ending A.
>E) Suicide. An option at the end of everything.

Endings for Monster:
>A) Kill him, take the Bathysphere and go to the surface to become a cryptid or something. Naturally, your hunger for Adam wont be sated and you'll die.
>B) Kill him violently and then destroy the Bathysphere, and spend the rest of your life surviving in the ruins of Rapture, surviving off of sea slugs.
>C) Destroy the Bathysphere as he's escaping. Otherwise the same as ending D.
>D) Secret Final Boss ending. Probably something along the lines of optionally finding an experimental Super-Adam capable of changing someone to not require Adam, but it was untested and only works on pure humans. You force it in to him and he mutates in to a Splicer Monster himself, and you have to kill and harvest his corpse to obtain the benefits of the Super-Adam yourself.
>E) Against every monsterous impulse, you somehow manage to let him survive. This is considered a game over.

I love logo mockups. Anyone have more of these?

I remember one that seemed to imply it was on a train or something with a bright blue logo. I'd be thrilled if someone posted it

>Fun fact, the new Wolfenstien game comes out in five days
jesus christ, for real?

I like it, it's not too far off from some preliminary Bioshock 2 concepts where people were forced to mutate into monsters to survive

Capitalism is a dog eat dog sytem where the strongest survive, well this is a literal (and a little to on the nose) interpretation of that
the only thing I don't like about it is how blunt the metaphor is, other than that I like the general idea

Attached: 1551121734664.jpg (691x800, 114K)

Existentialists vs Aristotelians on the south pole.
Underground city with ice skating mechanic.

this but the bottom rung of society are penguins mutated into semi-intelligent slave laborers

I love this idea, honestly.

infinite ironically had infinite potential and squandered it all

Infinite shit
