Naww girl, thats just new orleans
good.
i heard l4d2 is terrible now and every match is filled with premades who kick you the second you fuck up or break their autismo speedrunning strats, how true is this?
For some reason l4d2 now spawns three special infected every time, turning even a comfy advanced runs a fucking chore.
versus are expecting some basic understanding on how to use each undead.
Campaign on easy/normal are mostly chill - if you feel you need more challenge, go advanced and stick to the team. Finish expert at least once and then go for VS (or create your own lobby or use advanced bots from workshop and play VS with them in closed session to practice)
pills here
Can you play L4D 2 alone? I never got the guts to play with people
L4D2, I hope? I'll play. I was playing it last night.
use these bots you can practice your Versus runs with/against

Read the installation instruction (you need to add some text into listenserver.cfg file)
Yeah, but I recommend getting some mods for mod behaviour from the workshop since there are moments you will get fucked over by bot behaviour such as - not helping you when grabbed by smoker, killing themselves when downed by falling down a cliff, etc.
It has single player with serviceable bots that will follow you like dogs. It's not as fun, but it's still worth it if you haven't played L4D before
Versus is the only trouble I've run into. You'll be mocked and kicked for not knowing the meta or how to play as the undead. Campaign is still chill tho.
if you somehow still don't own it - definitely worth the bargain 90% discount price on sale, even for single player run with bots + it gets even better in campaign with real people.
it's not that hard, really.
Rules are simple:
1) attack together as often as possible
2) Boomer or Charger starts (bile 2 or more survs, charge 2 or more survs)
3) Spawn the very last moment - the second they hear gurgling sound of a boomer they'll triangulate your location (you can spawn behind a corner of a narrow corridor, for example)
4) smoker grabs the last one to drag him back when the rest is running - noobs take 2-3 seconds to get that one is behind
5) spitter always spit upon charged/hunted/smoked survivor from some high spot
6) Keep your distance as a tank to not get molotov'ed - throw rocks at survs from above and slow them down so that the other infected can attack them.
For survs - stick together and follow the "got gud" player (he usually spams a lot of character dialogs and almost never gets pounced by a hunter) and listen for special infected to help anybody who got caught.
I remember years ago playing scavenge mode on Dead Center and people got assmad and kicked me cause I kept destroying the gas cans they'd throw off the balconies as the spitter, which is... literally a strat the loading screen tells you to do.

It's always been weird to me how Killing Floor 2 killed L4D but KF2 is the most boring shit ever.
But at the same time, everytime I go back to L4D I can't even have fun. Maybe it's always been boring.
ya l4d competitive players are some real died in the wool spergtastic faggots.
> cause I kept destroying the gas cans they'd throw off the balconies
opposite team (survivors) can't kick infected tho

This was not long after launch on the Xbox so I don't know if that's a new thing or my teammates knew the survivors idk
