Generally, magic classes have more complexity, which gives you the opportunity to develop more complex strategies and reward more intricate understanding of the game's rules. They're not *always* more fun - sometimes the game elevates non-magical classes to that point, sometimes they fuck up magical classes too badly to be fun, and sometimes the games is just so badly balanced that magical classes are brokenly OP or UP - but generally, that's the way it goes.
