I think all the arbitrary limitations are the worst part. It being 30 levels below the cap is enough separation from the core of the game on its own, there was no need to lock them out of everything (especially not stuff like Squadrons, Diadem, Eureka or Trusts)
If they are really worried about them fucking up DF, just make "accept to join a group with a Blue Mage" a DF option toggle like joining in progress groups and have it be turned off by default. That way, anyone complaining about getting BLUs in his groups is full of shit, since you would have to willingly make the choice to get grouped with them.

OKay so! Dancer's utility mainly hinges on an ability at level 60 called Closed Position.
Closed Position lets you mark someone in the party to receive your Standard Step and Devilment buffs.
Standard step is an attack/dance that gives you a 5% damage boost, and is shared with your partner.
Devilment is a 20% Crit and Direct rate buff for 20 seconds that's also shared with your partner.
Technical Step is the strongest attack in the game, and it gives you and the whole party 5% more damage for 20 seconds.
This is also before getting into Esprit gains, but that's purely a DNC's personal mechanic and not technically a party buff.

The tragedy of Emet is the fact that all of his excuses to try to justify his genocide are just excuses. Every single one of his arguments as for why new life doesn't deserve to live over his people falls apart by the time you kill him.

"Your people are petty, do you think half of your kind could be willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good if you faced the same calamity we did." When the reason you are even confronting him in his phantom Amaurot is due to the work of the entirety of remaining good life from the bad-end timeline of post-8th Calamity Source banding together to essentially sacrifice their entire history and existence in a hail mary attempt to stop their future from ever happening. Emet-Selch is pitiable, having to suffer through tens of thousands of years exiled from the life you used to know and love is a terrible existence, but his reasons for his actions are fundamentally wrong and selfish. That's the tragedy of his character, he's a man out of time who could have been good and noble but can never move on until he's at death's door. That what his "Remember us" and smile is, it's him finally accepting this.

XIV community is like the complete opposite of other mmo communities where the community is bad because it is full of assholes. XIV's community is bad because it's too "nice". You can't say anything bad about people at all and if you do you're the bad guy even though logically people should be agreeing with you.

The act of sending the crystal tower both back in time and into another dimension is the single greatest technological achievement in their history to the point that not even the Ascians understood how the hell they did it, and all this work was being put in knowing that if it worked, in theory they would basically die and everyone was still on board. It's the fact that you had the same people who Emet was claiming could never accept throwing their lives away for the greater good doing just that.

The 8th Umbral Calamity was to the people of the source just as terrible of a calamity as whatever the fuck you could call what happened to the Ascians was of a calamity to them. You're supposed to see the parallels there, but the difference is what they wanted to do after they prevented or stopped their calamity. The major difference is that the people of the 8th Umbral Calamity had already made peace that their work was basically them sacrificing themselves to make it happen, where after the Ascian's already made their sacrifices they wanted to sacrifice others to undo their own. If the Ascian people were accepting that their time had passed after 75% of them were killed to save the planet, the sundering would have never have happened and the remaining Ascians could have just lived as stewards of the planet watching over the new life being born afterwards. But the thing is that the Ascians were a timeless people and they could not process the idea that their time could have passed.

What's the advantage to Legacy controls? I've been playing the game like it's GW2/an FPS with little issue, but this always confuses me.

i tried getting back to the game but it required a one time password, which i dont have anymore, and to remove that it requires a emergency password, which i also don't have. So i cant get into the game anymore, the support page is awful to try to navigate and understand. so i just gave up.

legacy just has you run towards the camera when you press Move Back, thus its the non-retarded use

Can run in any direction regardless of camera position. If you need to quickly move away from the boss you can do it without spinning the camera, you just press back and you run in that direction, no backpedalling/strafing.

It's insignificant now that the average ilevel of PF has risen, but in the first few days of EX the "DPS south" mantra was a blight. I had to persuade fucking monks and dragoons to go north because that's where Puck is--DPS south means you have a 50/50 shot of doing nothing for 10 seconds since Mustardseed is already dead before the tether goes out.

I didn't watch his monetized apology video, so here's what I think happened:

1) Bramble tether mechanic in p1 can be resolved any way - "DPS south" decision made arbitrarily.
2) "DPS South" maintained for consistency until content was cleared
3) Eager e-celeb uploads clear video with sufficient but ultimately inconvenient strategy
4) Low IQ PF robots bite down and never let it go, even when its in their best interest to go north

classic WoW is quite slow compared to modern mmos. It'll take you a good month or so to hit level cap since it'll be your first time. Then theres all kinds of attunements for raids and other shit you'll have to do at 60. Just remember when you sign in, you're playing a game that launched in 04 that went into development in like 99 .
