depends on how long your fingers are and what your keyboard layout is
there's no real advantage in sets of keys except in access to number of keys
I have en-us/jp keyboard and most key access is from FYUK which is essentially just RAGE shifted towards the right, ignoring shift/ctrl/tab in favour of alphabetical/sign keys
a fingerlet couldn't reach the 1qaz row with their pinky from FYUK
someone with longer fingers than me could easily access tab/caps/shift/ctrl from FYUK, I have kind of a hard time
I still play with WASD despite the superiority of FYUK because no fucking game needs as many keys as it provides

Backward -> B
Jump -> J
Ammo reload -> A
Crouch -> C

I use the mouse with my left hand (even tho im right handed). For a time I used YGHJ and it worked really good for me, but rebinding was a pain specially if the devs has some custom unusual actions.

You can reach more buttons to the right.
All buttons to the left are still reachable too, except left Ctfl and Esc, I need a little bit more efforts to reach them.
ESDF has F key which is much easier and faster to find.

1 is for melee.
2 is for pistol/handgun.
3 is for shotgun.
4 is for assault rifle.
This is the ONLY RIGHT WAY to bind your keys in a first person shooter.
