I know it exactly. December 25th, 2000. My parents decided to go for a drive and look at the Christmas lights, and I was along. We stopped at my best friends house for a moment. He had gone and picked up my other best friend.
We three bros sat side by side on a cheap futon couch in his bedroom in his family's crappy basement house with wood stove heating and watched him play through the opening sections of Shenmue on his new Dreamcast. I was 16 at the time.

I used to run a comfy village server which was filled with minigames and shit and you won money from them which you could use to expand your room and decorate it. I would mark up that order and in the evening I would go to level editor and commit the changes along with new obstacles courses and games.
I had excel file with player names and their bank amounts in it. I dedicated hours upon hours just hanging out with my jackrabbit friends then.
