I got the Ultimate or Deluxe Edition whatever for $7.99 on PS4 in March, just went back and cleaned up a few trophies and got the Platinum literally yesterday.

A few things I can say: that trophy for beating the Top 3 times in the gauntlet, I tried it for about 10 hours before finally getting it, and it was fucking glorious when that trophy popped. Very rewarding feeling. And also, I don't really care about multi-player, but this game is unbelievably fun in MP. The movement in this game maybe the best in any FPS I've ever played. Period. Everything is so fast, you are always jumping on walls or flying through the air with a double jump, and to top it all off, you get to fight in GIANT MECHS!

If anyone reads this and is interested, I implore you, do yourself a favor and give it a try. It's unreal how fun it all is.

It‘s kind of a shame. I‘m sick to death of Trash Site and Kodai, yet the matchmaking keeps forcing them down my throat.

They have that starter edition thing, which gives you credits to get some unlocks early without having to earn them through leveling every Generation.
But really, just buy the game for 4 bucks and think about micro transactions later.

There is like one brief section of the game that's worth that price of admission. Otherwise it plays like a slightly above-average cowadoody FPS.
I think the on-foot gameplay differs too little from when you're inside of a megatonne robot.

Overal it's just a solid game. Depending if you were born yesterday, you might even be extremely impressed with it.

It's a shame because the movement and pilot weapons are fucking fantastic. Hopping around with an EPG or L-STAR and chasing other people down at high speed is great, but then everything goes to shit once titans start popping up. Since every one of them can instagib you and you can only chunk them down, you're forced to play super passively (aka not going FAST) in order to safely take them down as a pilot. It'd be bad enough if it only forced pilots to play passively, but since you have a limited, non-replenishing health bar the best way to play titans is also generally to be as campy as possible to protect your health and maximize how much damage you can do before you go down. Titans sound cool on paper, but fuck do they kill the flow of gameplay.

Every weapon in the game is overpowered and for noobs

To make it more easily identifiable what an enemy titan is capable of.
Also to allow for more varied abilities. They couldn't put in abilities like hover or phase dash if you could combine it with any chassis or the game would turn into hovering stryders with predator cannons.

That's why you pick the ones that are actually fun instead of the one that gives you le ebin score screenshots.

Is TF2 similar to Quake somehow? And what's up with TF2's graphics actually not being GPU intensive? This is so weird, my GPU usually reaches 80 degrees celsuis on AAA games, but Titanfall 2 doesn't do anything.

Next-gen can't come soon enough. At least next-gen they'll have good CPUs and SSDs will become standard so no more loading times trickery in games, those two alone are massive improvements

Step 1: Make it actually 3 MB instead of 2.

Adjuste the bitrate. Calculate 24000(3MB * 1000 kilobytes in a megabyte * 8bits in a byte) and divide that by the length of your clip in seconds. Then input that as your desired bitrate.

Then keep the clip short because Titanfall takes insane amounts of bitrate if you want to see anything.

everything you said is what I always feared and expected the game to be. A fun infantry shooter that gets fucked over when people start getting giant, slow, instagib battlemechs.
Small handgun combat vs giant mechs can only be imbalanced either way. Titans are either useless and a hindrance if infantzry is too agile and powerful, or overpowered if they can take 10 infantry without a scratch.

It's actually well balanced, IMO. The titans are an advantage, but one that can be worked around very well, they just make you have to change up how you play. I personally don't like how the mechs play though, so I just run a Scorch with the Advanced Chip and Fastfall, and try to Airstrike enemy mechs, before letting it do it's thing till it dies.
