I played it on Lunatic. It was about moderate I would say. One of the easier Fire Emblems. I definitely had more trouble with Awakening, but Awakening just felt more cheap than anything. You just have way too many tools to deal with things. Whenever I lost a fight I usually just had to make a switch or two and the fight was then easy. I imagine other playthroughs will be a breeze now that I know how most fights go.

I have the feeling Claude's is actually going to be the darkest route out of all three. Both Eldegard and Dimitri have clear issues and they show it in their behaviour, in their speech, in their reasoning, while we never see Claude fall into despair or clearly have a breakdown. If he has ever suffered he never shows it, has no loyal retainer, his smiles are cold and fake (Byleth says they don't reach his eyes), and he knows everyone's secrets (even the Church's). That guy is ruthless are hell.
