no

Fair enough.

no but this is the first release, so it's got like maybe half of what final mix will have a year from now. I'm waiting for that before I pass judgement. Or play it at all, honestly.

Square says they're not doing that this time, just patches and DLC. They realized they're just training people to wait for the enhanced editions.

Not at all

FUCK no.

Then I'll wait for all the patches and DLC, I know it's not a proper "new release" but I'm 100% certain there'll be a complete edition next year, after the dlc they're releasing this winter comes out.

I saw a deluxe edition for a very good price but i like more the cover of the normal edition, what do?

I kinda want to play but I never played any of the games outside 1 and 2.
And looking at all the side material just makes me roll my eyes.

The collections they have on PS4 make it pretty bearable and reasonably priced, or you can just download the games on their original systems.

No and I never expected it to

How many years was it? There's no way any game could be worth that long a time.

I'll go back and actually play the "new" critical mode when they throw in the DLC. All in all, 1.5 & 2.5 was significantly worth more than KH3.

2.8 came out january 2017 so about 2 years.
>HURRDURR 14 YEARS
yeah ignoring the like 5 or 6 games released between now and then I guess.

Well in part its also that the side material just looks stupid.
2 in general I felt was annoying once they started to introduce nobodies and all that crap with 100000 extra keyblades.

When it was just Sora doing his thing in 1, it was cool in interesting. 2+ just felt like cringe overload.

>that feeling when i want to play it but i only have an xbox so i don't know shit about the series
The other games aren't even on PC man! what the hell!

The lack of Final Fantasy characters and the meandering plot are pretty bad, but honestly I enjoyed it quite a bit still. It was pretty wonky at times but still seemed to have some love and care put into all of the little details, and I enjoy how big and open the worlds became and the pixar environments. The combat traded difficulty for flashyness but honestly I didn't care about that.

Not to me.

I feel like I got my money’s worth. More so than with XV.

>4 games and two movies is worth more than 1
Shut the front door.

Yup, crazy value, huh?

I played the first Kingdom Hearts game about a year ago, and powered through the whole series fairly quickly.
Hence I waited about 2 weeks for KH3, It was tough bro’s but I made it.
Totally worth it.

How are the final boss fights?

You can emulate just about everything except 2.8 and I think DDD is still unplayable on citra.

Mediocre, none hold a candle to any from 2.

As someone who has played every game except the original versions of Coded and X, no. It was a fucking massive disappointment.

How is the original Coded different?

When the game is so bad you stoop as low as comparing it to XV to make it sound better.

>They realized they're just training people to wait for the enhanced editions
Which works, since both Gamefreak and ATLUS are still profiting from it to this day.

Pokemon can get away with it better since they can gate mythicals and shit behind buying the orginals at launch.

Why is this thing not in PC, Xbox and nintendo?

Attached: kh comp.jpg (800x998, 270K)

I was expecting better yeah. I stopped really caring about the plot years ago so I still enjoyed the ride of moments like Donald killing Xehanort or Terra becoming the Guardian.

What about Persona?

Considering KH3 is the best selling game in the series, i would say people learned nothing and SE still can sell them a Final Mix without problem

>just got done watching 358/2 Days
>this thread

Xion deserved more bros i wanted to protect her smile

>Donald killing Xehanort
I haven't bought it yet. Fucking DONALD kills him? Donald????

You’re right user, I shouldn’t have done that, it was a low blow. XV is so bad that it doesn’t even deserve to be called a game. Playing with dogshit is more enjoyable and has better characters and story. It’s also not hold O to play with dogshit which is nice.

The only time Yea Forums was mainly hyped was when it was stated that the Lingering Will was fighting the Xehanort army on his own, the rest was meh.

The UnionX part really got me hyped honestly and I never touched it (and only know the plot from youtube summaries)

Keiji Inafune? Is that you?

Still works but they don't have lasting punishments for anyone who waited unlike Pokemon.

Why do people pretend that Vanilla 2 wasn't garbage

She and Roxas actually returned and got their happy ending at the end of 3

Honestly, I want to base the third game on how it ends. And how the final fights are. Are they really not that hype or fun?

I have a better question can anything SINK and make Kingdom Hearts fail as a game franchise? Is it even possible for this series to fail?

Literally everyone but the person you play as, and Kairi, got their happy endings.

Fuck Nomura.

>Not being hype as fuck for Xigbar's reveal in the post-credits

Noob

all of the dream eaters in DDD-2 don't come back for higher quality animations

Final Mix did not changed the final bosses of 2, neither likely 3 so it doesn't change stuff.

No.
The gameplay got worse, and they never figured out how to fucking pace the story.

>He didn't saw it coming that he was Ocelot
Final Noob

Time reversal shit happens

And that didn't even happen

Get the regular edition unless you like metal cases
It is pretty nice though, would cop if it was on a shoe

fpbp

Why do people pretend it was?

Honestly what killed it the most for me was the new Xehanort actor. It sounded so awful

It doesn't quite hit the peak of Final Xemnas but it was still pretty good.
>13 darkness clone Xehanorts coming down on you while the original shoots lasers.
>Xehanort stealing your light and forcing you into Anti-form.
>That final Trinity
It was more consistent than the Xemnas gauntlet. I never liked the gummiship section or how it repeats a phase but this time you get thrown to the other end of the map.

No

>No FF characters
>No Critical mode
>game is extremely easy on Proud Mode
>attractions
>mash X to win
>reused keyblade transformations
>Disney worlds are completely pointless, literally no plot until the end
>Organization members pop in, say meanie things then disappear, every time
>Rushed character reintroductions
>Most of cast is pointless, Riku does jack shit, Aqua does jack shit, Kairi does jack shit, etc.
>No exploration of Scala
>Hundred Acre Wood
>Twilight Town
>no Colosseum
>barely any post-game content
>Frozen and Tangled are literally just replications of the movies
>awful voice direction
>only 1 laughably easy superboss
>Xehanort was a good guy all along!
>no actual ending, more sequel bait
wtf happened

They didn't even try to get a guy that sounds like Nimoy

Absolutely not, it was pretty terrible

>>Organization members pop in, say meanie things then disappear, every time
CoM was really the only time they did anything more than this. Xaldin and Luxord are the only ones that really interact with the world they are in.

No. Donald holds Terranort off temporarily but doesn't even kill him

Basically everyone in this game is a jobber. Riku is a jobber, Aqua is a jobber, Kairi is a jobber AND a damsel in distress, etc.

Three of those six have been ports. The last full entry would have been ddd in 2012 so that’s still seven years of waiting

The remake of the "Let it go" musical number reeks of corporate meddling. How much money and dev time do you think was wasted on that?

How are the art book and the pin?

Nomura flat out said Disney put restrictions on them. It's why Larxene can control ice out of nowhere to make that labyrinth. Elsa wasn't allowed to be an antagonist.

Honestly I think the base game was a bit flat but once all the DLC comes out to add more and flesh out the story it will end up being good/great

It really fucking sucks this is what video games are now but whatever. I ended up using Gamefly for KH3. Honestly, if you like single-player games Gamefly is better than ever since 95% of Western releases are not worth the cost of the titles. Only if you are close to a distributor, if not your results may vary

Nobody cares about those games because they’re also trash

Tfw UnionX story is 100x more interesting than ANYTHING in the entire Nort saga but we will NEVER get a real game about it.

Fuck gatchashit

They're probably going remake it at some point once it's story is done. Coded was originally a phone game as well, before they made the DS version with Recoded.

KH3 is garbage
it's supposed to be the culmination to years of buildup but acts as filler 95% of the time, in which you just play disney ads that contribute nothing to the plot and get some cutscenes about characters doing actual things far away from sora to make you feel like there's a progressing story, but you don't really take part in it
gameplay wise it's a downgrade from 1FM and 2FM, these games made position matter and if you just spammed attacks enemies would block or counter attack you, in KH3 all your abilities are nukes and attacking mid air makes you float and automatically get put in front of enemies far away so you can literally just jump and spam attacks to kill everything
and for last, this game has the worst handling of characters I've ever seen in my life, it's insulting, all the plots of different characters like Aqua or Roxas struggling and going through great journeys, all the villains and their plans, only to throw them into a forced bossrush that feels completely unnatural to the flow of the story, the characters literally stand in line waiting for sora, the dumbest character which doesn't even know what is going on, to beat all the bad guys and shut down all the character arcs.

Attached: 1562381080845.jpg (540x304, 67K)

deluxe comes with the regular case too

It might be once it’s finished.

I blame Nomura for how he treated Sora, he was never like that. Especially after the ending. Seriously, fuck him.

This. I hate Nomura for how he destroyed Sora. Nomura used the literal Mind Erasing bullshit from Chain of Memories to permanently default Sora into a Never Learning Shounen Retard Hero.

And as much as it hurts to say the reason I will no longer buy the Kingdom Hearts series is because of how annoying and unbearable Nomura has made Sora. Think about it, Nomura's style for a number of games now is:

Sora Is Stupid He Doesn't Have Common Sense And He is Unable To Learn From His Mistakes.

And this is our central main protagonist of the entire franchise? Fuck off Hackmura! Making the main hero the worst part of any narrative is a horrible idea. The sad thing is I used to like Sora, but after he became a stereotypical Shounen Retard like Luffy from One Piece I officially checked out. Kingdom Hearts 3 is my final game and I hope Nomura dies of a painful disease somehow (or that one of Nomura's cats slashes his testicles off).

The DM is good but being forced into a gimped form is trash, and laser beam spams (the last trinity) are the most boring shonenshit trope. In KH2 they just physically beat the fuck out of Xemnas.

Sora was a lot more clever than he was in the earlier games, even in 2 sometimes. He was just goofy (pun unintended). I feel like this is like what happened with SpongeBob, they just chose one character trait that made him how he is and that was just who he was from then on. It's stupid and lazy writing.

In the eyes of many cultures being optimistic means you're retarded. That's what happened to Sora, he's an optimist so by Japanese Culture that created him, he's now retarded.

Should have played it. It's shit, but it's shittyness somehow enhances the story, and it's pretty much the best story in the series. Totally worth slogging through.

>they just physically beat the shit out of Xemnas.
Then defeat him of with a keyblade beam. It’s the Keyblade’s signature ability so ending with a Trinity powered version of it is fitting.

The game has had critical mode for months now, faggot

They finish him with it when hes already helpless. In KH3, Sora is on the ropes almost dying then wakes up from power of friendship followed by a beam tug of war. It's lame and generic compared to the viscerally of KH2's crazy finale.

Xehanort was weakened in the second phase of the fight. Didn’t you see his armor crack? The game had flaws, but these are some of the stupidest nitpicks I’ve ever seen.

Why did they get rid of the soft reset

Attached: 1549728041943.png (890x708, 77K)

it's disappointing. Not the worst game ever of all time like some shitposters would say, but definitely a letdown. It's enjoyable on many levels but it'll probably kill your interest in a sequel or for what comes next

Attached: 1536742849383.jpg (2335x1827, 692K)

I was let down but I kinda was expecting it. Nothing can live up to a 13 year wait

Attached: IMG_20121026_080103.jpg (530x530, 75K)

The pin is quality, the artbook is just a special edition artbook just the normal stuff but the cover is super nice

It's all coming in one big paid DLC, essentially they realised that final mixes were just DLC before DLC existed. Except back then you bought the game twice.

hell no
