We don't really know anything about being tempered except that it makes you loyal. Ifrit,Zenos, and Ascians imply the echo is you being tempered you've already been claimed so other primals can't over write you

Cards are far, far less interesting, healing is slightly less efficient, DPS is even more boring than it was before, and the themes underlining the class (time manipulation) were all removed or tossed aside.

Garbage damage isn't made up for with their buffs. Hard to play and doesn't get anything out of it.

Opener is a mess of facerolling 5 card draws to get divination, damage is shot, class is a clunky mess over all. Its heals are fufcking pitifully tiny (10Y on CO, 6 on CU, Getting DPS in Star is a pain, Aspected still 15)

Compared to the Afflatus system where you are rewarded for healing with GCD for the first time in 6 years, it feels like you're playing catchup all the time to play AST when WHM is cruise control for more reward.

we will stop when all the Smash shit is removed. hell those aren't even generals about smash. They are literally generals devoted to "who is in" and nothing more.

Worst potencies and oGCDs of the three healers, to the point where they are actually forced to GCD heal constantly just to keep up.

Card system was changed to be more consistent, but nerfed in terms of actual raid DPS output. Cards now don't provide enough raid DPS to push them above SCH DPS, let alone WHM DPS.

Card system was also changed such that they cannot effectively get out all of their raid buffs in the first few seconds of the fight when they'd be most useful.

The short version is; worst heals, worst damage, and their raid buffs aren't even worth taking them for.

I wouldn't say lv80 WHM was garbage, it was a nice postscript to the HW and SB storyline. Seeing the HW necromancer girl now learning conjury and that gatty is doing fine despite seeing her mother being eaten up by a voidsent in front of her is a nice conclusion to what we've seen so far. Honestly I wish I got to experience the community in 1.0. I imagine that the gameplay was a huge casual filter so the cool ones stayed. Now the community seems to be overwhelmingly trans, erpers, weebs to an extreme degree and people with warped realities that have no clue about the world around them outside of FF14. It's insane that I have yet to find anyone in this game that I could get a long with. The minute I get along with people by the end of the day they end up doing weird shit like calling me daddy. DRK has abilities that are basically inner release, fell cleave, decimate, steel cyclone, and inner beast while at the same time using the blood gauge which works almost the exact same way as the beast gauge. Its pretty much just pre-ShB WAR through a slightly fuzzy lens

But Griffith actually has his priorities straight and has achieved his goal. Emet had multiple chances to cause the rejoining to happen yet would help the player character out on multiple occassions. Even as the WoL is down from too much light, instead of finishing the job he just tells the whole group where he's going to be hiding and teleports away. He's a retard.

Depends how patient you are, you have to keep in mind it was designed with "Pre-WoW" sensibilities so if you are expecting a WoW clone you are gonna have a bad time, but you should be able to do the story content "Solo" these days due shit like Trusts (NPC party Members). you biggest issue might honestly be managing to unlock the job you want unless you use a guide or some shit (the summoner stone shit comes to mind unless they changed that).

The games story content was designed around a level lower then current the Level Cap, and as a result it is obviously easier now then it was then, and that includes the infamous Superboss(es).

As much as people like to shit on SAM, at least it has tools to recover its rotation, plenty of ogcd's that can actually be weaved in without worry and there's always something to do besides pressing your original rotation because the resource you are building up isn't fucking tied to windows that become available only once per minute.
