Switch runs just as fine as PS4, though apparently load times are longer, but the latest patch was supposed to improve them, though it's unclear how much they've improved.

It runs at the same fps as PS4, and though it apparently has a minor graphical downgrade I've never seen anything that's made me regret not getting it at a higher quality/resolution. Load times are longer yes, but getting it on your preferred platform or being able to play with friends trumps any issues the switch version might have, I'd say. Get it.

My advice is to not play hard mode. It's broken.

Play regular (nitro fueled not classic, so you can freely try out all the stuff you unlock). This will make the game much more fun and help you learn. This file should also be for 101%ing everything. Revisit hard mode once you've mastered the game.

Uhhh don't lose reserves. Don't hit walls. Hop often if you have to. There's a weird air braking mechanic, you'll know when you do it. Cortex castle forced me to learn and now I've got it down.

Thunder Struck is one of my favourite tracks, I love the aesthetics and the music, but it is fucking scary when you go fast. Time trials is the best place to learn, you will restart a lot but you will keep usf for the whole race after enough training.

>uncheck and recheck connect to network quickly
>go back in game
the game will say everyone left and you can't connect to the server, but after about 10 seconds or racing the game should say "connected to servers" again on your screen and that's how you know it worked

New bug online for me this morning. On N.gin lab, the first usf pad before the long tunnel, me and others fall because items. We get placed just before the ramp and when going back on it, we explose again, and again, and again, and again. The whole center and left of the pad was nitro explosive. It's like the game never remove the nitro crate from the first fall, just making it invisible.

Some boost pads give next to no reserves so you've really gotta have spares in order to keep it going longer than a second. Even so, there's other inconsistencies and issues that stop me from saying it's mechanically superior to the original.

You could get SF if you started powersliding after hitting a turbo pad in the original. Now if you try to hit a turbo pad and then start powerslide you won't get SF unless you already had some reserves built up.

Anyone else having huge issues with online play? I've never had any notable issues with this game, not even in the early days when everyone else was complaining, but today my online races have been going completely apeshit. Players and orbs teleporting all over the fucking place back and forth, had two races freeze at the starting line, starting line placements of the racers completely fucked at the beginning etc.
I've never had anything like this happen before. Is it just my internet or is someone else having problems like this too?

Load times are longer but a recent patch cut ~10 seconds off of them. The only real downgrade in performance is on a single section of a single track. It drops frames in the bazaar section of an Egyptian stage called Twilight Tour. It’s a little disorientating since this is the only place it happens and there’s a tricky turn in that section that you need to nail to get a huge speed boost.

Use a racer combo that gets you an additional 50% nitro points and complete as many challenges as possible per day with them (including the weekly, themed, and pro challeneges). You can probably get there, but don't stress yourself out just to get a few skins that will probably show up later anyways. I think it is possible to get 14k in a few days though. Hard, but possible. Maybe try doing the math to see first if possible.

Dragon Mines is only hard because of that one crate near the end on the gravel that's tough to jump up to. N.Gin Labs is probably the toughest because you've got to play really tight, get a good order and speed to snag all those 3's at the end and most importantly get that crate on the far left off the first ramp or you're just restarting every 10 seconds.

Just get all those 3s at the end of the first lap. Stopping to get them all gives you more time then sliding into the last one's just before the finish.

So currently I have 28,798 nitro points. I've completed the daily challenges today so I have 4 days of them that I am able to do. They give 500 (quick) and 900 (daily) points which should give me 1400. With the 50% boost that's 2100 a day and 8400 I can get.

I've done the weekly ones, and the next one is in 2 days. That'll be an extra 3050 points judging by the total for this week. So that's 4575 with the boost.

In total that's 12975. The only themed and pro challenge I have left is finish in each position in Crash Cove, which I have 0/8 on because it's so rare and when it does come up people choose some other level always.

But if I get all those challenges done, that'll put me on 41773, so I'll probably need to grind more for that last 230 or so. Definitely doable.

Do a powerslide into the big space jump. You can get three perfects by the time you land which gives you loads of reserves to take you to all the turbo pads ahead. From there it's just a matter of boosting when you can and jumping when sliding isn't sharp enough.

u-turning feels better to pull off and usually works out better. air braking feels like it sometimes kills momentum for me when I land

It's hard to tell but u-turning is letting go of accelerate, holding square, and holding down+left/right. This soothly turns you like a handbreak turn without losing speed.

Air breaking is where you're in the air and you let go of accelerate, hold square, turn to face the direction you want, then press accelerate again to jolt yourself forward (all before hitting the ground).

If you try it yourself you'll notice the "jolt" much moreso, the example in the webm is really good so you don't notice it as much.

Probably. I would try to keep up at least one or two more days just in case. There will probably be an expoential increase in the last few days though as people start rushing to get into the top 5% or get the GP pit stop rewards.
