I miss comfy early game hunts
took way too long but was more laid back, sandboxy

That "all festivals" thing starts next week, right?

The 26th I think. I can finally catch up on the event quests I missed.

I'm so sick I can't play games right now but damn I want to get back and finish the game before Iceborne is released

I'm taking a break but I'm kind of itching to get back in at the same time. Problem is things like Kulve and Arch tempered just don't interest me.

I burnt myself out hard the first six months. The game became a huge chore. I'm hoping I can muster enough resolve to get on next week and grind out the last few things I need.

I login once or twice to collect might/adamant seeds and armor spheres. That way when the IB comes out, I’ll be ready for upgrading the armors in one go.

As a whole, it’s practically dead.
Although I still need to kill Extremoth and AT Luna at least once for the sake of it.

Feels bad. I always loved the dino-style Bird Wyverns, but we're instead getting a pukei subspecies, which is good since I've hunted like 2 pukei ever; A Paolumu which is FUCKING AWFUL REMOVE THE INFLATION BAT REEEEEEEEE; and a Tobi, which is nice because Tobi is really cool.

make sure to carry a bunch of heal dust. try to use faster weapons like dual daggers so you can clear out the jagras

Currently at HR20 with XenoJiva gear, decked out in gems. I think I'll wait for Iceborne on PC before continuing. I'll reach HR50 while playing through Iceborne to inevitably get the XenoJiva Master Rank or the Velkhana Master Rank.

Oh... well, next week either way. I can't be arsed.

Iceborne will likely be worth coming back to play because there's actually new content.

If you mean for the first time, that's come and gone. If you mean currently, no. All the events will be up in a few days, they're running through all the festivals in a row.

These festival and timed event quests is so fucking shitty and obvious bait to force players to keep playing at the time that THEY want. Somebody fucking kyoani Capcom for pulling this fucking disgusting shit.

you get hr 39 or something just for finishing the main story

Doesn't the "main" story end at 16? I know there are events at HR29 and 50, but they're not part of the story.

i didn't even get 30 minutes in, the character creator was fun but after having to sit through all that boring exposition as to why "all this genocide is justified" and the restless PINGADING of picking up garbage loot that i realized i was playing the equivalent of a mobile idle craft'n'farm

Bought the game 3 days ago on PC, just beat the first encounter with the magma dragon
Farmed for a while to get a full gear set of Anjanath gear and weapons
Those fangs kept cucking me, I had so many scales and other drops but not enough fangs
I kept going for his head but it's really hard to break

Also I tried a bit of online but unless some HR100 Chad shows up in your game it actually makes the mission much harder so I think I'm just gonna solo

Jesus I'm glad I'm not the only one that's getting sick of it. Started playing MHW last month, beat the story, knocked out every optional quest besides the HR 100 one, finally saved the Witcher and Final Fantasy quests for last.

The Final Fantasy quest started off nice. Really liked the music that played while chasing the monster with the gem, but about 15 minutes of chasing that fucker the novelty wore off really fast.

Then you fight the Behometh. First fight is a piece of cake. Finish that and then return to Astera and they start playing more Final Fantasy music.

Oh boy, how delightful! Yeah, for the first couple hours. A month later I have my music down to 0 cause I can't fucking stand it any longer.

I only want to beat the Behemoth to end the fucking music. You hear me Capcom? Take the rewards for beating the Behemoth and shove it up your ass. I only want the fucking music to stop playing. For fuck sake.

I have less than two months before diving back in, leave me alone

Doesnt quite work that way on the EXTREME version but one dedicated healer can do gods work on the normal version, aslong as the fucks manage to survive the meteors.

That's honestly what I've decided my role was going to be, at least with random players. That's the main reason why I knocked out all the optional quests so that I could grow everything I needed at the Botanical Research Center.
