max swimming

You should know that Planescape: Torment is a glorified visual novel.

Play Tides of Numenara

I'm aware.

Why's that?

Better game

how so

Play the game your way, not what some faggot told you on imageboard

don't open it

don't trust the skull

You get +7wis without the scroll that gives +2 to any stat you want throughout the game if you play your cards right and know where the bonuses are so 18 wisdom should suffice unless you want to grind your Nameless one to level 70 in undersigil anyway, in which case it doesn't matter since you'll get your all your stats up to 25 either way.

>Tides of Numenara
>Better game
Yikes.

Didn't know Nu-scape devs were posting on Yea Forums.

You have to know what can change the nature of man.

Some things are not actually gates. You will forget this and remember it again in your worst moment.

>What else do I need to know?
You should multiclass into uninstall wizard

Does it have the Nameless One?

You can't even multiclass in pst.

At least you can skip pretty much all the shitty combat in Numenera while Torment goes full retard when you leave Sigil.

Gay

I don't know, I enjoyed turning my Nameless One into an omnipotent killing-machine.

you get a skull with crazy thac0 that can solo every encounter in the game if you got the crazy woman's teeth for him

Is the enhanced edition good?

Beamdog is a guilty of a number of different crimes. Here are the major ones.

1. The Enhanced Editions are essentially a collection of free mods that had existed for nearly twenty years. Beamdog gathered them all up, slapped "Enhanced Edition" on it and resold it as a new product. There's very very little in the Enhanced Editions that wasn't already out there, and most of it is stuff you don't want (like obnoxious character outlines).

2. The games didn't sell so well and the originals were still far outselling them, even twenty years after their release, so Beamdog had EVERY digital distributor stop selling the originals and ONLY sell the Enhanced Edition. If you want to buy a digital copy of the originals now, they're "bundled" into the Enhanced Edition. Now these scumbags can claim sales from people just wanting to buy the originals as their own.

3. The infamous 600+ bugs on launch. The game is still riddled with bugs (as even a perfunctory glance over their forums show) but the fact that it took nearly two years for them to get a game that had been working fine for 20 years to reach playability after launch is telling of their wild incompetence.

4. This is where we get to the ones that really piss people off. Beamdog couldn't just remaster the game, they had to fuck with the content too. New dialogue for existing NPCs like Jaheira, Viconia, Safana, Kivan, et cetera was written in to make the characters more progressive and leftist friendly. Beamdog shills will argue that "adding content isn't changing content XDDD" but it is when the new content changes the core personalities of the existing characters. This is in addition to adding a slew of their own LGBT (hitherto there were none in Baldur's Gate) NPCs, all flooded with OP attributes and magic items to encourage people to play them despite their cancer.

5. Siege of motherfucking Dragonspear.

please don't summon bots

How bad did they fuck with Planescape? I want to get the Switch port

>switch port
user I...

the nature of a man
is tides of numenera any good?

Yeah yeah I know, I just want to play in bed, so sue me

It doesn't make this shit less boring and tedious.

>I just want to play in bed
You can play the PC version on a tablet.

im suing you as we speak, you will hear from my lawyers

Just fucking set it to easy and stop whining.

I love people that think someone is going to read this and go "oh yeah, he's right, I should just go buy a tablet instead of using the Switch I already have."

Literally the worst IE game.

Or maybe you actually have a tablet already since they're cheaper than a switch.

It's rather short but I found it entertaining, the weird background stuff is more interesting than the main story.

Just play mage that reads thoughts and skip all combat/use cyphers where you can't. Combat is about as bad as in Planescape, but in a different way. Also, apparently you can find a sphere that allows you to switch party members after Sagus Cliffs.

>D&D based
>no classes
>no truly character creation
in the trash you go

whats the point of playing an rpg if ur just going to go with the meta cookie cutter build instead of creating your own role

>not reading an LP

weak

My tablet is a Dell Venue 8 from 6ish years ago. Newer games aren't happening.

As every true rpg should be

There are also no dragons, goblins and evil wizard necromancer, truly a shit game. Also, no flying eye monster.

How old do you think Planescape is, user?

>PST
>newer games
user, I...

user...

>PS:T
>RPG
>A game where the devs state in their manual that there is only one build
What's the point of opening a thread if you don't know anything about the game being discussed?

You all know since it's a "remaster" it'll be bloated as hell and really put strain on the shitty tablet

All I wanted to know if they fucked with the game, be it I get it on Switch, PC or tablet

>remaster
user....

PST EE is exactly the enhanced edition.
They hired Avellone who only retouched some writing but didn't really do anything drastic. There's lots of QoL improvements like zooming in and out and they didn't insert any of their OC characters this time.
Some mods have been made compatible with EE.
Really, if there's any EE you should get, it's PST.

cmon, i get the different setting, so its fine about different races, monsters and shit
but the entire system of creation, the core of what is D&D, the pure imagination of your character, simply being non existante? fuck that

Thank you, holy fuck

>You all know since it's a "remaster" it'll be bloated as hell and really put strain on the shitty tablet
That's just your assumption though.

Does this look like a game that wouldn't run on your shitty tablet?

Attached: PST.jpg (1920x1080, 1.76M)

Let's put it this way, Shadowrun Returns was about as much as it could handle

In which case it'll be able to handle PS:T

I don't think anyone really advises you to go lawful good.
Just max int and wis, although it really isn't necessary, just play on whatever pace and stats you feel is comfortable.

In this game, certain items act as keys to activate portals. So if you're stuck, you should probably talk to more people or check your inventory to see if you possess the right 'key'. Another thing is that this game does have combat.

>the pure imagination of making a buff dwarf warrior Oin son of Loin with his trusty +1 axe and slapping some extremely shitty portrait on him

I remember hearing that if you go lawful good, you can redeem the nameless one, happen to know anything about that?

dude dont fucking spoil it for yourself, it loses meaning when the choices arent yours

>the worst IE game.

Attached: 17827-icewind-dale-ii-windows-front-cover.jpg (800x1134, 231K)

Lawful good is basically what you get for being reasonable guy (aka not cackling retard). I've got it like halfway through the game without any real effort to be a lawfag.

Well, I kinda already fucked up my lawful good playthrough in a couple areas so I don't if I can make it; I'll finish it, but I would like to know if I had to do EVERYTHING lawful good and not talk to Barking Wilder or if there is some leeway.

Compared to Baldurs Gate EE it's almost perfect.
The only thing they fucked up are the selection markers, which look like they were specifically made for the tablet version of the game.

I know there's a hidden option in the baldur.ini for "classic selection circles" but it's just a resized version of the new ones and not the original ones which look more fitting.

Anything else you can toggle(sprite outlines, sprite-smoothing, etc.) so I don't think you can go wrong with this Enhanced Edition.

Who are the best companions?

Play the game how you want to you dunder dick fucking dumb fuck

endure. in enduring, grow strong

Fucking up being lawful good doesn't depend on just one wrong dialogue choice.
It's a culmination of all choices you've made throughout the game (breaking or fulfilling vows, lying, bluffing, senselessly killing).

Well, I think I may have fucked up then, I have kept my word, but I have stolen and killed Tenari I intentionally pissed off with Annah to level up easier, among other things.

afaik there's a mod which shows what kind of influence dialogue choices have on your alignment (or at the very least your alignment in numerical form if you hover over it on the character-screen).

Never used it so I'm unsure which of the two applies.

Holy shit taste, user. What's the matter, can't handle low level adventuring? Need to purchase that robe of vecna 10 minutes into the game? Can't live without your precious cloudkill?

start with 18 wisdom but don't put any more points into it
put 1 point in charisma but don't put any more points into it
get enough strength so that you have 18 when you get to level 7
put the rest into constitution
you can put a few points into dexterity if you want but intelligence is useless
mage is a meme play as fighter and autoattack everything to death

also the game is pretentious shit only play if you want to see how overrated it is but then avellone dickriders on Yea Forums will call you a troll if you call them out on it

Name 1 game that has better writing.

kek what a pleb. IWD2 is by far the best IE game.

Why is mage bad?

Dilate

Don't you dare be dissing my dwigga Oin. Every party needs a dwarf. We even bought him a horned helmet so we could rub them before every encounter for good luck.

>go lawful good

Do whatever you want for morality. Every run ends up unique that way. Try lawful good try true neutral try corrupt evil etc.
