FO4 is very decent. The haters have good reasons for hating it but it’s ultimately a lot of nitpicky bullshit when viewed through the lens of just playing a regular ol’ video game.
Put another way, it’s like a 7/10 at worst and the haters are literally seething about the reasons it’s not a 9 instead - because it should be, that’s how bad Bethesda fucked up.

Its not bad but you could do a lot better. If you try and play it as a shooter then ironically the annoying RPG shit just constantly gets in the way. And if you try to play it as an RPG there's almost nothing better to work with.

No, wait. I was wrong. There are better games for that alone, particularly Borderlands 2 Remastered. This game is actual fire. Fallout 4 fails in every sense. Gunplay is absolute shit.

It’s pretty weak for a third person shooter, and you’ll definitely want to tweak shit with mods. But I have fun stomping around in power armor with a Gatling so I guess that’s all that matters.
