Splatoon, duh. Even after the Splatfests, more Splatoon.

Nothing, there are no good games to play.

I'm playing mario maker 2 and smash bros. I just finished my rerun of Final Fantasy 7 so now I have nothing else to do.

I spent the past hour trying to figure out a way to get JoJo: Heritage for the Future to run in retroarch but I'm fucking giving up.
Other than that I'm not sure what to play lately. All the good stuff is soon

smash p much everyday, outside of that tropical freeze has been pretty sick. just finished world 4. fuck that puffer fish piece of shit boss. first time i used items just to cheese that fucking dickhead

Going to disappear from these threads (and this board) for a couple of weeks so fire emblem doesn't get spoiled

See ya

It will be trash

Why aren't you playing the GOTY?

Attached: 20190523-92611-header-696x390.jpg (696x390, 58K)

I really like the concept of the Switch Lite. You guys think it will be worth the purchase for a non raging Nintendofag? I just have a soft spot for them because my first console was an N64.

Attached: large.jpg (1142x630, 150K)

Ikr? The switch lite announcement has snoyboys seething so much here Ive never seen so much anti nintendo rhetoric here

MHGU and SMM2. Waiting for Fire Emblem.
You don't even know if they will fix the joycon drift. I wouldn't risk it.

I just beat The Messenger's free DLC thing because I remembered it released. There are way too many games I'm trying to balance right now like CTR,MM2, and Trials of Mana while I still have a backlog past that. FE will be out soon too.

>using items
The only way to restore your honor is by starting a new file or by beating the boss in hard mode when you unlock it.

>You don't even know if they will fix the joycon drift.
I saw a lawsuit for that is going forward. I didn't know it was that bad. I just want a comfy handheld that isn't Wii U tier size.

I am trying to gauge the reception to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. How is it shaping up so far?

Attached: cq5dam.thumbnail.319.319.png (196x319, 169K)

I'll to get it secondhand or for them to address the horrible framerate issues. Seriously there is no reason for DQB2 to run so poorly when the first game was flawless.

Playing Starlink right now. Just finished Valkyria Chronicles nd octopath traveler.

How do I git gud? The CPUs can easily make me their bitch.

Also, can anyone recommended me some fighting games?

Tips on playing World of Light in Smash?
Some AI is painfully easy while others are impossible, there doesn't seem to be a normal in-between difficulty.

Playing a little Splatoon 2 but also Risk of Rain 2 on my PC. Would be a fun game for the system if they get the controls right.

Splatoon
Just taking an Anti-rage break
Chaos chads forever

This

Attached: 510C79EE-C0DB-4AD0-AA53-7AE66BB55480.jpg (2000x2624, 415K)

Eh the whole frame rate issue is completely overblown
I had a couple slow downs here and there but overall it’s fine
I’ve dealt with far far worse
This is minor annoyance tier

Just try out different combos of spirits and characters. Sometimes you may just need to find a cheese strat for the completely unfair ones like Geno.

i really do feel like a shitter :(

Me neither
I just chalked it up to
“My joycon is dirty and I need to clean it”
Used this and let it dry
Boom drift gone.

>be SEA turd worlder
>try to find unpatched Switches in game stores here
>all the Switches sold are unpatched, including bundles
At least they're sold for $280-$285 in burger shekels, I just hope the Switch revision will cost the same.

I just got mine 2 days ago, its hackable but i dont ahve the jig yet (comes tomorrow), really want to buy some games for it and play now ... but i will feel bad when i can just get em for free starting tomorrow
should i just buy smash or splatoon2 to feel good ?

Yeah the better battery revision is
The lite is 100 burgers cheaper

>underpowered
>gimmick
>supposedly a handheld but too large and performs better docked
>dock scratches screen
>cheap, flimsy joycons
>library c
onsisting of rehashes, shovelware, the worst versions of multiplats and kiddie games.
>insufferable, delusional community
>manchildren love it
>system of choice for trannies and the morbidly obese.
>smash tournaments known for being comprised of people with no concept of personal hygiene
>an embarrassment to be seen playing in public
>horrible online, overpriced.
>console is overpriced, very low value in general
>often referred to as several derogatory names, some examples include “cucktendo shitch” or just “shitch”, “Fischer price tablet” or more rarely the “NINtENDO SWItCH” (the lowercase t’s representing the low testosterone of the typical Nintendo console owner)
I could go on but I think we’ve all seen enough to agree that owning a Nintendo Switch is undesirable.

Played Katamari Reroll earlier, almost done with it.

Do you have someone to play with? I played co op last night and had a good time. Combat is basic. You grind for percentage based power ups. Each character has 4 special moves and simple combos. Loot drops are power ups. Good cast of characters that play different from each other. I'm happy with my purchase.

Im gonna buy mario maker 2 limited edition tommorow probably. I really feel like playing some online again

I got one for Mario Maker but have been playing BotW for pretty much two weeks solid in my free time. That game has its flaws but goddamn is it fun.

then dont buy it

Imagine seething this fucking hard that a console is outselling the one you purchased. Jesus fuck.

Splatoon
You’ll get to enjoy the last Splatfest day
Also don’t pirate
Not because any moralfaggotry i’ll diwnload like 300 games and play none of them.
I feel like a techno Stamp collector

im pirating because im a student, not because im trying to game the system
i literally just want to play too many games and most of them are still full price man

Just wait till you get to the final boss, fugu will seem like nothing compared to him.

Unironically enjoying Pokemon Let's Go, it's really comfy and the Pokeball controller is pretty rad

Can't wait for Loogie Mansion 3 with Halloween

Attached: superthumb.jpg (300x250, 29K)

Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Bout 10 hours in. Was very unimpressed at first but now that I actually have a party combat is fun and the game seems to be picking up a little. It can be way too weebish at times but it's kind of endearing

No. The idea I have less features for $100 less and slightly smaller unit makes me not like it.
It's cute though

I put 50 hours into BoTW and loved it, beat Gannon and saw that I had less than 20% completion and I've tried getting back into it to see more of the game and just had no desire to. That first run was magical tho

Will you get banned if you hack your switch just for the emulators and never pirate? Getting pretty sick of waiting on Nintendo to release N64 and GBA games

Eh fair enough I know the pain
I’ve spent like 1,560$ on only 60$ games that’s not counting all the indies I brought so it’s closer to like 1,700 give or take
Worse part I’ve already put in a preorder for Astral chain and NNK so 1,820$

you must be retarded
dont hack if you are serious

Why?

If you stay offline probably
I’d just pick up a lite switch and use the OG as an emulator box.

I am and I love it.

Tiny Metal > Wargroove
Prove me wrong

My Gf just got a Pikachu/Evee Switch pack and we've noticed that the screen has a yellow/pink tint to when compared to my Switch from launch
Is this shit normal? It does look really bad, can Nintendo fix it?

Just emulate on your computer and get a Bluetooth controller of your choice.

no matter what you do- if you are hacking then you will get banned aslong as you are playing online
if you play offline when on a hacked parition then there is no way to catch you, they ban anyone no matter what you do aslong as you are hacked and they catch you then you are banned

Same thing happened with me for XCX. First starting the game I hated it and thought i wasted my money but then i picked it back up and became obsessed with it

This

how good is splatoon 2 ?
im more interested in diablo3, skyrim, doom and jrpgs, is it worth getting splatoon 2 if i will pirate all my other games anyways ?

Or not so much obsessed as I just couldn’t put it down cause I was having so much fun with it

Less of a Diablo clone like MUA1/XML and more like a 3D beat em up. It's okay.

Just hacked my switch and messed around with Super Mario 64 in Lakka for a few days.

Restored by Boot0/ Boot1 and NAND backups last night, and have been playing in the splatfest all day with no issues. If a ban is processing, then I don't know how long it takes.

Rule #1 is backup your shit before hacking
Rule #2 is turn on airplane mode before you start so you don't accidentally connect with a hacked switch

I think the biggest risk of not restoring from backup after hacking is your Error Logs. While hacking you'll probably crash a couple times, or get some weird noise in those, which Nintendo can see. Deleting them or having any weird errors is a sure sign of a hacked switch.

Send it in if it's under warranty. Maybe take some pictures of the two switches on the same menu, side by side and send those as well if you can.

I thought the first tiny metal was lackluster but i might pick up the sequel

I'm moreso shocked it's gotten such rave reviews. Around 4-5 hours in when you're kinda just running errands to help build Poppy and you can't really finish any of the side quests you pick up and the random high level enemies are just autotargetting you seems exactly like the point "journalists" would just drop the game and write it off. I'm glad I stuck with it though.

The switch is the new vita
Perfect for emulation

With emunand being essentially retard proof, (You) have 0 excuse not to hack yours.

Attached: IMG_20190720_1803261.jpg (4056x2704, 2.63M)

do nintendo 64 games run good on the switch? I really want to try OOT on it

just so im clear
>back up device
>setup emunand
>then boot into recovery
>payload
and then i can install pirated games through goldenleaf and emulate with arch ?

>buy a used one with possibility of it being hackable
>it wasn't
>let neice play on it
>had no idea an update was out
>she updates it mashing the button i told her to press to select the game and no I'll never be able to hack it with deja vu
So gutted

kirby games sucks ass

>wanted to try another playthrough of Breath of the wild
>remember that I utterly hate the stupid waifushit like Mipha, Urbosa and Zelda herself
>resign myself to just speedrunning to ganon again to avoid that garbage
>feel like it's not even worth it since the ending isn't even worth it

>wanted to get back into Smash
>balance still completely off
>fandom continually jerks off their stupid waifus while refusing to talk about the gameplay

>look up news for Astral Chain
>it's another platinum grade movie shit

>look up news for Daemon X Machina
>still runs at an abysmal FPS, will have anime shit in it too which ruins any hope I had for it

>still no news on Metroid Prime 4

>try and get back into Splatoon to see if it's any better than the last time
>people still retarded online, singleplayer and expansion are still casual trash, fans do nothing but jerk off their squid waifus

I'll be honest with you, I'd rather just stick with my PC at this point. All sony has going for it is bland movie games and censored weeaboo titles. Xbox is nothing but gritty mature shooters, and Nintendo has just disappointed me day in and day out with their weak exclusives. At this point the Switch literally exists as a port machine, and that's if I don't already play ports on the PC. Why doesn't Nintendo care about good games anymore?

Attached: uie6tikut1t01.jpg (960x960, 75K)

Basically

>possibility
All switches made within like the first year should be hackable
Did you mistake the serial number?

if you dont mind i'd like to buy your used BOTW if you have a physical version

>Platinum
>Movie games
...what?

He's just memeing, you can safely ignore him.

The Switch is for people who like to have fun and look and cute virtual girls. Have fun constantly upgrading your rig to ultimately just play shitty simulation games

No, the serial number of my console was one where some are hackable some aren't
>XAJ400460XXXXX (and lower) - Not Patched
>XAJ400470XXXXX (and above) - Possibly patched
>XAJ400600XXXXX (and above) - Patched
Mine is XAJ40057

>Be a huge capeshit fag
>Have fond memories of playing MUA1 as a Wii lad
>Love that they got most of the EMH cast to voice the characters
>Roster is okay (though no Ant-Man is shitty), DLC additions sound great so far though the FF should have been in the base game

>Every time I watch gameplay it looks like the dullest shit ever
>Heard there's no party banter and no comics trivia
>Game's 80 dollars if I want the full roster
>Knowing Tecmo Koei there's probably going to be a Gold/Definitive/Complete Edition/re-release some years later with all the DLC included for free, but by that point online will probably be dead

I've never been so torn on whether or not to get a game than with MUA3

>He will never know the fun of racing, drifting, or flying in VR
Simulation games are pretty good tbqh

Splatoon 2 and Monster Hunter Generations ultimate are both Elder god tier games
I literally brought a pro controller for Splatoon and MHGU is the only game that has more time than YouTube Switch

Personally, I don't think it's fun to watch cutscenes left and right, and I'm offended at the thought of paying money to look at cute girls. I can do that for free on the internet. The job of a video game is to incentivize a purchase by offering me something I can't just get for free by watching it.

Stop giving ACfag (You)s you turbo-retard.

AC fag? I barely use my Switch I only bought it for Travis and Bayonetta 3 so I don't come into threads often

ACfag is just a buzzword people use for "guy I don't like". The excuses I've seen people come up with for using that name are absurd.

>this guy doesn't like watching cutscenes, he's acfag
>he doesn't like low quality echhi shit, he's acfag!
>he prefers games to not be ps4-tier walking simulators, he's acfag!

You can safely ignore anyone who uses that name.

I've ordered the switch case grip from Skull n Co for 19$, apparently it's very good and ship very fast.
Satisfye might be better but cost more and ship way slower

I meant they're all patched, all the serials I've encountered are XAJ7007, the bundles are all XAJ1005 and above.

If I'm buying a patched Switch it should be at least the new better battery revision.

Scalpers here are asking for $400-$500 for unpatched Switches, fuck them.

Why is your screen broken?

Have you tried this new thing called
“Not being a hateful and depressing faggot”?

Just search any of the more elaborated filenames in the archives, be ready for a trip through autism town.

Attached: ACfag images.png (1464x756, 759K)

The hard screen protector is cracked, let my cousin play with it and he dropped it
But if I remove the screen protector, id have to remove the decal too

I'm too busy with this thing called "having higher standards". Although it means I don't blindly worship any game with titties or brand recognition, it does mean I can better appreciate the gems in the industry.

just finished pic related last night. it was an okay timewaster, but nothing special.

>"comfy" switch thread
>call people autists for having different opinions
So much for the tolerant fanbase.

Do you think the switch is tough enough to survive multiple fall?
My switch has fallen like 5 times since 2017, 3 screen protector broken but the switch remain fine, thought the left rail of the switch is a little more loose than the right one

>Actually replying to a notorious shitposter and giving his narcissistic ass what he wants
May my thread rest in peace.

Wanting to wrap up Hollow Knight, started playing God Eater 3 and waiting for Luigi's Mansion 3

Shitposter? Who?

I bought BOTW. I don't like it at all. My experience with this is just getting one shot by everything. Terribly sad. Not sure what to do. Maybe grind for trash or something. But even on my way to towers I get one shot by something.

Day 10 of owning a Switch. I love it. Glad I got to participate in the final Splatfest. Mario Odyssey is a treasure. Mario Maker 2 is incredible, especially with friends. The past two Fridays, my friends and I have played about five hours together of playing levels online, making courses, and all that. Great stuff.

Also picked up 20XX for $8 yesterday and haven't played a ton of it yet, but a roguelike Mega Man game? What's not to like?

>Octo expac is casual
lol nigga fuck of

Change your approach or explore somewhere else. Don't keep doing the same thing expecting different results. That being said, it is the most challenging 3D Zelda, so buckle up babe

HI acfag

Every time I go into a Splatoon thread to discuss it, I see nobody discussing it. It's just mountains of squid porn. So what am I supposed to believe? My personal experience is that Nintendo hasn't made a challenging game in a decade now, and they continue to show a lack of polish.

Please, tell me why I should turn a blind eye to this kind of shitposting that ruins any and all game discussion. Why is it okay for a fandom to do nothing but spam porn and console war? Especially when innocent people like me just want to talk about the game.

No ACfag is very much real
The mods have confirmed they basically can’t ban him since he’s using like 12 proxies
Even after getting fixed he won’t stop

I don't understand this sentiment. I would have to play this game I just got perfectly. Very silly user.
I got to a part where I have to get arrows from a horse man. Every high he one shots me.
After 10 or so attempts I tried to explore around for shrines. Seen a robot. It one shot me. I got frustrated and quit. I've upgraded hearts once and stamina once.

You paid $40 for 20+ year old roms that you could easily emulate?

if you don't know how to kill guardians yet, then don't go near them.
If there is something strong enough to one shot you just come back to that area later.

>the mods confirmed it

Attached: source-s-dude-trust-me-45785476.png (500x300, 43K)

You will not be able to fight the "robot men" until much, much later. You don't have to avoid them, but at this point if you don't, you're gonna have a bad time.

Look, head towards the point on your map that is leading your to Kakariko and go from there.

Splatoon 2.

Last chance to be in a 100x battle and I never get put in one. This sucks. I don't even mind if I lose it.

Head to Kakariko village, on your way there collect rocks and shit to sell. Talk to the painter guy and he'll lead you to a place where something very useful against insta-deaths will spawn, though you may need to rest or teleport afterwards for it to show up. If you got any money left, buy the stealth set there, or save it for the knight set in the town south of there.

kill yourself ACfag

Ah ah ah. That's not propagating the idea of a "comfy" switch thread, now is it? Whatever happened to being tolerant of other viewpoints?

Mario Maker 2 and for the first time Hyper Light Drifter and I'm loving it. Convince me not to get Resident Evil 4 again lads. Working a night shift tomorrow and itll be perfect

There's enemies that one shot me everywhere I go. Even the purple pig men one shot me. I'm just used to fighting them by now.
I've managed to kill one robot. Shooting the eye constantly and snacking it. Used all my weapons.
I've been to Kakariko village and talked to Impa. I bought the Hylian set. Is that bad? It looks like I can upgrade it if I kill the pig men enough.

Let me rephrase: you won't be able to fight the robots *and it be worth your time, resources and effort* until much later. Technically, right now, user, you can storm Hyrule castle and take on Ganon. Nothing is stopping you except your own skill.

lmao smash is more balanced than it ever has been, you just suck

Fairies should spawn around the great fairy plant, if you sneak close you can grab at least three or four before they fly away. That should go a long way towards helping with instakills.
Don't worry about misspending money, you will be fucking loaded as you continue to explore and sell off rocks.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting shit to change is the definition of insanity.
Get better gear, find better weapons they’re literally everywhere kill more mooks they get stronger and fro better weapons the more you kill

I actually won a 10x battle!
Such a fucking rush

>Finally found an RCM-compatible switch off local ads
>CIB, might as well be mint condition, came BotW, for the same price as a new console

I think the guy just bought it for BotW and then seriously never touched it again

Attached: 1555275720064.jpg (540x723, 108K)

That's just a meme definition of insanity, definitely stupid though.

God I hate my life

Dragon Quest Builders 2

Surprisingly stable frame rates in handheld mode, though kinda jank when docked. Though I gotta admit I’m gettin sorta bored with it doing the 2nd island’s quests. Kinda don’t like how even if you explore and see new NPCs they are just these unresponsive stand-bys till you trigger their questline. Then again people say that once you return to your first island you get ti

Should I be selling off all the rocks and gems I get?
Aren't they for upgrades?

Yep that’s basically why I don’t pirate anything outside music
Pirate 150 movies
I’ll grow to start hating movies
Pirate 150 games
I won’t beat lead alone play a single one

I’ll never stop pirating music though

recommend me some turn based games

Yeah but by the time you get that far you’ll have like 115 of each gem in your pocket

How? I have no idea what I'm doing. Exploring leads to death. Best weapons I've got are from shrines. Finding new shrines leads to death. It's like i have to keep dying to refold my hearts so i can run farther and repeat.

numale thread

There's a few things they can upgrade but they're honestly not worth it, and not an issue you need to even think of for a while. You should keep flint as it's kinda handy for campfires, but otherwise you can sell everything else off.

>what are you playing
SDB heroes
Dong freeze
going for some xenoblade later

I think i've finally entered the comfy zone with my switch, it's absolutely great

I'm really excited for the new Fire Emblem. I've avoided all spoilers and plan on going in as blind as I can.
Can't wait.

Anyone know of a grip case/protector that works with the hori dpad joycon attached?

Currently playing Dragon Quest 11 on PC. Pretty good, I'm debating whether to keep playing my pirated version or to wait until it comes out on Switch. DQ11 on Switch seems pretty comfy.

Just got a Switch but I can only fit in one voucher before the offer goes away at the end of July. Not sure if I should spend it on the most expensive games (like BOTW) for the sake of efficiency or go for some new releases instead.

I've seen people mention getting adapters to use WiiU pro controllers on a switch, are there any in particular that I should get?

I have a few extra WiiU pro controllers I'd rather use instead of buying a Switch Pro. Not a big fan of joycons since I find my thumb always hits the analog stick while using the face buttons. Also don't want to pay out the ass for drifting analogs when WiiU pros still have some nintendium in them.

Raging Justice
Doesn't look very pretty, but it plays really well. A lot of nu-brawler devs don't know what they are doing, but these guys did a bang up job on this one.

Attached: Switch Raging Justice.jpg (923x925, 178K)

Still having fun with CTR online

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and FF7.
Trying to play as much Gen U as I can, since I just added World to my backlog. Also FF7 seems pretty fun in the first two hours, I love the music.

Octopath Traveler
West of loathing
The Caligula effect: Overdose
Disgaea 4 & 5 Complete
Moero Chronicles Hyper
All the Final Fantasy games
Both South Park games
Civ 6

Mario + Rabbids. Yes, really.
Into the Breach
Octopath if you like the demo, plus save data transfers over.
Fire Emblem at the end of the week.
Darkest Dungeon, Slay the Spire and that Steamworld card game are also praised, though I haven't tried them.

Oh and also devil engine

Because my wife has stolen my Switch to play it literally all day.

I too have been hestiating on buying RE4 for like the 5th time. It's such a great game and portable would be great, but then again I've played it so many times.

>Physical DOAX3.
My nigga. I mean it's an unimaginable grind even if you cheese it and kind of a halfhearted port, but still.

Attached: 1514791424608.jpg (1080x1920, 337K)

So go back to the 1st tower right and look South towards the bottom of the map
You’ll see another Tower called Lake tower in Faron grasslands
It’s a jungle looking area with shock monsters
Get to that tower active that tower then paraglide off of it.
Look for 2 Lizard man near the tower and kill them.
Behind them is King Durarans the hearty fruit.
Get like 15 of them and cool them to make a 20 temporary hearts food
That should keep you from dying every 2 steps

Bought "A Robot Named Fight" due to the current sale. Stupid name aside, it's fun and works surprisingly well as a "rogue-lite" proc-gen Super Metroid. And I'm not into Super Metroid all that much. For $2, I recommend it.

Also had my eye on it for 2$. Is it like dead cells meets Metroid?

Mario Maker and CTR

Attached: JPEG_20190720_001500.jpg (3120x4160, 1000K)

Okay. Thanks I'll try it.

Upgrading your armor at several fairy fountain can enable easy mode. Hylian set is easy to upgrade, Soldier has best early armor.

High damage weapons like Rusty and Ancient break too easily. Common weapons are more reliable. Quantity over quality, so upgrade your bag. Not all shrine are combat shrine, puzzle shrine are more frequent, for easy heart upgrades.

Playing Xenoblade 2
>hacked switch so its free
>overclocked so no fps drops/less drastic variable resolution
>save file injector so no booster/core farming
>cheats so no field skill farming
I seriously pity buyfags. You bought and have a much worse experience than me.

Attached: 070.png (633x874, 64K)

I got bored after an hour.

This makes me want to hack my switch so bad but idk if i can i think i have the updated model instead of the always hackable one

Yeah the grind is a pain, and I believed the literal fake news that it was less grindy than Fortune, I had Fortune, it’s the exact same, no difference in grind. Dang lying turds got my hopes up.

This time I just focused on my 3 fav girls, Nyo, Marie, and Momiji.

snoyboys lose again

I didn't know there were multiple fairies. I've been using any weapon I find. So far I dislike using the 2 handed ones the shield seems too useful.
The guardian sword was the best one I've gotten. Same with the shield.

I can't compare them, as I have yet to play Dead Cells. Sorry. Just get ARNF though, it's good.

It's mindless but I'm enjoying it

Chocobo's dungeon, there was a while I stopped but I'm back at it to beat it now

returned to Splatoon 2 after months of having not playing it to participate in the final Splatfest

just finished beating Final Fantasy IX

still play Smash Ultimate on and off, usually on the weekends, usually to try and get my mains into Elite. Succeeded with Sonic and Snake, hit a wall with Joker and Ryu

getting Fire Emblem next week, which I'm excited for because it'll be my first new release since Smash

Attached: cb5.gif (277x326, 571K)

True
Yeah, I'm gonna try to get into Rank S at least before Splatoon 3 in all 4 modes, plus beat Octo Expansion.
I finally built a full Ink-Resist set, so I'm feel confident in my shitter squiffer abilities

I bought Octopath Traveler. It seems quite lackluster. None of the stories seem very interesting and I don't think the characters interact with each other at all. Some of the bosses seem quite difficult. I'm still gathering everyone though.

How's this? Worth the $30?

They have brief conversations occasionally, and the endgame chapter has them all working together, but overall yeah they are very segregated. Still an amusing little game though, I had fun beating the shit out of old ladies with the knight, and occasionally completing missions because of it.

cfw emunand this stock emunand that, stock cfw stock ofw, what do they mean? the homebrew general doesn't explain it, reddit doesn't explain it, youtube doesn't explain, google doesn't explain it, how the fuck do you all know what these things mean?

Attached: 1481848024351.gif (1008x567, 1.31M)

Any good eshop games?

Spoonfeeding peasant retards isn't part of comfy threads, user.

Playing through Xenoblade 2 and my interest is starting to fade. I feel obligated to beat it because I've beaten every other Xeno game and it isn't the worst of them. I like Zeke, but in general the characters feel really weak and most of the "emotional" scenes fall flat for me.

Challenging everyone to a duel is great. As is just leading them around with the cleric and taking them through hell.
Also cleric seems mandatory. The scholar does a ton of damage too. Kind of regret starting as the thief he is not very strong.

There are youtube tutorials you can watch that’ll guide you.

I like it because its a Swery game, but it's really not worth $30 due to how sluggish it feels on Switch. I'd say wait for a sale, unless you really love Swery's games like Deadly Premonition, D4, and can put up with low budget game jank since his games aren't for everyone.

I don't know, the Switch CFW scene fucking sucks compared to the Vita and 3DS scenes with their autistically updated and maintained guides.

final boss was easy, though? the puffer fish was definitely the hardest one.

>Thinking of something to play on switch
>Kind of interested in Lets Go Pikachu/Eevee
>Even though it's a kantopandering abomination it kind of seems different enough from real pokemon to be worth trying

I wouldn't have considered it before SS got revealed to be a mess but now that pokemon is dead anyway fuck it I don't care. Anyone have thoughts on the game?

Not pirating it because I'm scared of getting banned for cfw

Attached: 1549538572392.jpg (487x423, 50K)

Honestly, it's nothing special. Fire Red and Leaf Green are better in almost every way. Pokemon being present in the overworld is a good change but it's not enough to make it worth the money. It feels like a side-game more than a mainline entry.

In need of a jolt. Should I impulse buy Mario Maker even if I’m uncreative as fuck and don’t think I’ll be able to make good levels? I really like 2D Mario is it worth it?

they cut way too much stuff for what they make you pay for, 120-150$ is way more balanced, they are kikes

I don't have any interest in Mario Maker because of my lack of creativity

2D Mario is never bad, but then you're subjecting yourself to user created autistic ebin super hard rage levels, which I don't find appealing at all

Just emulate FireRed or LeafGreen, user.

I randomly downloaded Wizards Symphony because I wanted something new in JP to play and something to hold me over until my next major game but I'm fucking hooked.

This game is goddamn great.

Attached: 2019072017592800-0F0ECF0A8B61867338B0AF2CD93192B3.jpg (1280x720, 251K)

It's enjoyable enough as long as you're not a sperg about what Pokemon "should be," but keep in mind you are forced to use joycons in docked mode and aiming the pokeball with them is an absolute clusterfuck. I legitimately have better aim when throwing in the exact opposite direction. If you play undocked you get gyro aiming which is exponentially more precise.

Can you do any save editing/backups without having to install full cfw? Like just load something in RCM that's gone when you reboot.

I'd like to be able to save edit for AC and Pokemon but since it's for AC and Pokemon I want to minimize the risk of bans as much as possible.

I think the access is enough for me. Think I'll give it a try

I have never and will never create a level in Mario Maker 2,but I have a blast with it. It's so much fun. And they're not all youtube rage videos. Some levels are hella fun. Just stay on expert tier and sometimes tip in Super Expert and you'll have an endless blast with it.

Attached: 2019072015151600-0F0ECF0A8B61867338B0AF2CD93192B3.jpg (1280x720, 274K)

Now that I got to try playing on a switch I just have zero interest in the mini. Having the face buttons directly above the analog stick is just awful, I constantly bump against it with my hand while trying to press buttons.

Having them be at least a little angle would have helped, but no.

Kill yourself tripnigger, don't even (you) me you filtered faggot.

Got a Switch recently, is there a decent one of those recommended games images. I feel like there's a bunch of games I saw when I didn't have a Switch and thought "I should get that when I eventually get a Switch", and I've forgotten every single one of them.

List some genres you enjoy and people will probably recommend the good stuff.

Got tired of waiting for a pro so I'm gonna grab one when the new longer battery revision comes out.
Today picked up Gal Metal and Cave Story, cant wait. Happy to see actual instruction booklets make a comeback

I got a switch recently, should I get splatoon 2 or mario maker 2? splatoon 2 is still gonna be active right?

Yes, Splatoon 2 will still be active, and unless you really have ideas for Mario stages rolling around your head I'd say it's the better game.

Attached: 1563668430102.png (2450x1472, 3.29M)

Just started Travis Strikes Again. So far it seems dull. The only interesting thing is the meta humour. Does it get better?

Attached: H2x1_NSwitch_TravisStrikesAgainNoMoreHeroes_image1600w.jpg (1600x800, 344K)

Splatoon won't die until the next one comes out and even then it'll still be kicking

You could probably toss TWEWY in mid or even top tier if you're like me and got a stylus to use with MM2. It's still not the ideal way to play it but it's a lot fucking better than with the joycons.

Drifting Simulator 2019

Very likely. You can still easily get matches on Splatoon 1 to this day.

Attached: inkling-smash-ultimate.jpg (1920x1080, 178K)

bought a unpatched switch from ebay. idk wether to store my current patched switch in a drawer or sell it desu.

>gotta pick between Aces, Mario Maker, Dragon Quest and Smash
>now a Splatfest is here too
Fucking hell, people have to be insane to tell me there's no games, I just got into Aces recently, Smash is still fun as fuck, and on top of that all new releases.

Attached: Quickie13 - Hida.png (1044x1200, 657K)

I was playing hollow knight but the fucking stick drift on my joycon is making it unplayable

>tropical freeze
>switch exclusive

Still plodding through BOTW. Just finished the Gerudo divine beast. God damn do their abs get me diamond. Especially the queen

Why are the old ones better?

God Eater 3 recently. Also looking forward to more shumps, Danmaku and Ikaruga are great but I'm looking forward to Psyvariar for something new.

Attached: skittles.jpg (1280x3176, 1.38M)

How does GE3 run on the switch? I put a lot of hours into it on PS4 and could use an excuse to play again

Its consistent . Not going to be quite as smooth as the PS4 version but I have no complaints so far as the performance.

I can't wait for August to finally be able to buy a Switch

Yeah I've still got my RBY and FRLG carts and replayed them to death, I'm interested in LGPE even thought they're kind of downgrades from what I've seen because (ironically) it seems like it would make for a new experience.

>This game that's exactly like a game that I've played twice but for its downgraded gameplay from a F2P phone game is a "new experience"
Ok, sure, go ahead. Don't blame us when you find it boring easy and drop it.

so my switch constantly crashes. this is the third time I've sent it into for repairs each time they just gave me another one (referb one of course) Im thinking about just waiting for the new one or the switch lite. I cant believe the incompetence of nintendo atm.

Attached: 4656646.gif (491x498, 2.96M)

Is LGPE worth pirating?

>no demo
I'd like to try it but I'm not about to pay $60 plus 20 more for the DLC pass plus tip for the privilege of doing so.

No, just emulate FRLG or romhacks or something, even original RBY would be better than dumbed down motion control KANTOOOO

No. It is easily the worst, laziest most thrown together pile of shit GF has ever shat out and you'd be wasting your time playing it. Any of the other games with gen 1 content are better, even the original RBY. But if I had to recommend one, I'd say HGSS.

Waiting for my paycheck next week to get the vouchers for mario maker 2. I'll wait for the second one, have most and nothing on the list interests me. I was thinking about dragon quest 11 but I can play it on my pc and dq builders 2 on ps4 to play with a switchless friend

The Switch version of DQ11 is the definitive version, even with the graphical downgrades all the new content outweights that one negative.
If you haven't bought it yet, just wait until September and get it for Switch.

wow you spent money? I feel bad for you.

>What are you playing, anons?
Katamari Reroll

HOLY CRAP, WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THEY HAVE ELDER GOD TIER SOUND TRACKS?!!

think about what characters youve unlocked that you would main, then use spirits to exploit their attacks you use most often i.e. fist attack^ for little mac

Once you get some fun skill chips I started enjoying it a lot more, you also may prefer playing co op if you can. Honestly the story definitely kept me playing through some of the more boring sections

to all my piratebros out there, how do you deal with pirates curse? I keep downloading and starting new games but barely finishing any

Attached: 1563511028.332535_-_c0f43d641ba4ad5ba3023823b51b1f3a.jpg (512x512, 18K)

I want them to go both ways with it. Make a switch lite and a noswitch that only plugs directly into the tv. Make them connect fully and make them everything the Wii U should’ve been.

The hero’s are fun to play as there’s a decent amount of variety, it’s nothing to in depth but the story is wacky

I got a switch yesterday to play Mario Kart with my sister and now I want to play more games

I'll get Zelda tomorrow, recommend me some other fun games

It looks like shit but runs fine.

I generally like Swery/Suda stuff, but this one was kinda meh. Some puzzles are kinda enjoyable but the story is just mediocre. I don't particularly mind where it went and the themes it's about, but it just a bit awkard without proper story/character development.
Also, I guess this could be a nitpick, the game has some dialogs in phone texts but they keep using some stickers that are so full of swear words that I just found it completely off-putting. Not because I'm triggered or some dumb stuff like that, but more because they felt really aggressive and not something you would send a friend, making the relationships pretty hard to get a feeling for.

>The Caligula effect: Overdose
this game is great, but don't actually get the switch version. it's a botched port with severe framerate/resolution issues and graphical glitches.

when does breath of the wild get fun? 100 hours in.

Mario + Rabbids
Golf Story
Smash
MUA3
Crash Team Racing, though I'd check more into whether splitscreen runs well or not.
Mario Maker 2

All good games with multiplayer options.

BOTW
Finally finished collecting all the memories and now all I got to do is go to the Castle.
The Master Sword breaking is retarded, although it has meh stats so it's not like I'm gonna use it a lot.
Started Bayo 1 as well; so far it's pretty good, although I suck.

Attached: by.png (1280x720, 1.77M)

1+2 switch is the fucking gayest thing.

Why they didn't make another wii sports title for the switch I'll never understand.

Persona 5

>botw mid tier

absolute bait

DBFZ is the best one on the list that isn't Smash
BBTag is okay if you're willing to shell out 40 more dollary doos for the extra DLC characters
Pokken is virtually good but is dead online
SamSho is poking the game
I have friends who play MK11 and they said it's not so bad on the Switch.

I did mention Smash, so get it whether you're a filthy casual or a tourneyfag.

Once you start being able to customize your setup it gets more fun. But ueah, for whatever reason he kept trying say he wanted it to help introduce it to new people but then made it chock full of references to all of his other games.
Please don't lump Suda with Swery

Zeldo or Xeno 2?

Do you want open world Zelda or a JRPG?

well I mean obviously Suda is the better game director/writer, but their appeal is kinda similar

idk senpai
Preferably something good undocked.

Attached: 580b585b2edbce24c47b29f6.png (384x313, 39K)

BotW is definitely the better undocked game.

>XC2 base game is mid
>The dlc is top

Attached: 123454321.png (486x420, 118K)

Pirate games that are short and you'll only replay a couple of times
Buy games that are long and have more replay value

Add MUA3 to low tier, desu. It's pretty disappointing as a game but isn't absolute dogshit.

Makes sense, by the time you're done with Torna you'd be about halfway through the tutorials in XB2. Torna is much better paced and less of a chore to play.

W-why is he such a fucking dick bros? ;-;

Attached: 1.jpg (798x407, 55K)

What are some day 1 must buy aside from BOTW?

>wd-40 is an electronic cleaner
are burgers this stupid or did I get baited?

Attached: 69420.png (217x197, 84K)

Smash and mario maker

WD-40 is the brand and that is a contact cleaner made by them.

Odyssey

M8 that's not even the american packaging for that product.

Attached: 1543852031819.png (364x852, 131K)

I found co-op to be too hard to follow. I enjoyed solo play far more.

I bought Dragon Quest Builders 2 tonight and it's fun as fuck. It feels like Minecraft with more direction, which is exactly what I wanted in a crafting/building game. Playing in bed with blankets on me with the new RedLetterMedia video playing on my monitor. Also slightly drunk. I'm having a comfy night boys.

Attached: comfyguy.jpg (229x221, 5K)

Just got Dead Cells the other day, Been playing that. It's pretty fun and the music is good.

skyrim and 7th Stand User through homebrew. Desperately hoping Rune Factory 4 has dual language when it launches on the 25th

I've really been enjoying my wiiU so far, but I'm a very late adopter what was it like to own a wiiU prior to the switch?

basically stuff your sorry ass full of homebrew / wii+gc games or do nothing waiting for the everlasting wii u drought to eventually end somehow. I was a very early adopter and monhun 3U was the only thing keeping me sane

Is the physical version of mk8d out of print or something?

Hollow Knight and Smash waiting for Fire Emblem: TH

>waiting for Fire Emblem: TH

Same. Beat botw a few days ago and now playing mhgu. Can’t wait for next week

>smash
fuck you just reminded me i need to cancel my online subcription

Movie games refer to games that are all style no substance like Rockstar games or The Last of Us. Having cutscenes period doesn't make a game a movie game.

the fuck are you talking about? we had these "comfy" threads for over a week
anyway i'm not playing mine. i'm away from home and i took a usb otg cable with me to use my phone for payloads, but i lost it (probably on the plane but i'm not really sure how), and since my switch is on autorcm and i turned it off before my flight i can't use it until i get another cable. i'm fine without it, i just went through so much trouble (bought a pro controller, hacked it, got rid of the joycon drifting for now, installed 2 nsps and set up retroarch) and now i can't even use it

is it possible to fix joycon drift when you have literally nothing to clean it? not even an air pressure canister thing?

How poor are you?

not very, i just dont have any of those things (or at least i dont know where its put)

Sounds like it's like Travis Strikes Again but with good gameplay

Ports you need
>rising revengence
>vanquish
>yakuza
>DMC3 and DMC4
Didn’t put persona on the list and went for realistic picks

I hate capeshit

So how are the Switch ports of the One Piece games. They're both $16 on the eshop, but I don't want to waste 24GB of space if they're bad ports.

I can't imagine UWR is a bad port, considering the 3DS game ran fine on that.

why do you need these ports? they're all on pc

There hasnt been a single good One Piece game

>was going to get a switch for FE TH and Marvel UA3.
>revision announced
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I hear that Pirate Warriors 3 is one of the better musou.

What the fuck do the think the reason I own a switch for the graphics?

Why is Persona not realistic pick?

do you think i own a pc for graphics?

>not having a pc for graphics, variety, ports, performance (most of the times), mods and porn all simultaneously
you’re doing it wrong. the switch is at its best when you have a complimentary system and don’t mind the performance dip in favor of portability

i don't care about graphics, i just want to play video games
if it's some indie game i don't feel like paying for i'll get an nsp of it since it's safer than pirating on pc

gotta learn to suck it up and finish a game already. i got that problem too tho.

>PC: Death end ReQuest
>PSP: Unchained Blades
>DS: Pokemon Platinum, Princess Debut
>GBA: Pokemon Prisim

And i just ordered a unpatched switch from ebay so rip me as well.

>safer than pirating on pc
oooh, so you’re one of THOSE people. I get it now

Thoughts on my Switch collection?

REmake. It's my first playthrough, and it's kinda hard. I chose Jill by the way idk if the characters have story differences like in the RE2 remake.

if you’re pirating shit you don’t get to choose when you get the game, you just wait. And besides, drm does not influence how hard it is to pirate something, just how long you’ll have to wait for it

Playing hallow knight, Diablo III and SMM2. Finishing a backlog of Hyrule warriors and tales of vesparia too.

What are some good inexpensive games I should grab off the store? Something simple I could play on break at my wagie job. I love most sides rollers on this format

>2019
>people are still scared of pirating on PC
good god

or i can just get an nsp file and install it with goldtree
not only safer, but also easier and takes less time
>denuvo
yes because i pirate every new game that comes out the second it does
i pirate mostly indie games so i don't even need to be concerned about drm anyway

Probably Mario Kart 8 deluxe. i don't even think it's that good but its genuinely the only thing on this awful console that can hold my attention. botw was good for one playthrough but theres really not that much to do long term.

Can someone give me the lowdown on Switch hacking? Have a small amount of experience coming from 3ds.

Can you go online at all without consequence?

Overclocking is easy?

I wanna emulate other shit but I do enjoy playing a game or two online so I would like to know if the pros beat cons

congratulations, you failed to address the whole post you replied to.

ok

give me a sec while I hunt down a pasta, but no, you can’t play pirated games online

i was playing some mario maker and tetris this week. my online subscription just ran out and i noticed that even though i bought the 2 eshop games voucher deal, i can't use my remaining voucher because im not currently subscribed to switch online. i never imagined they would fuck me over like this and that has soured me on renewing my subscription. i am going to miss the final splatfest but im almost too pissed off at this cuntery to give them another cent towards that piece of shit online service.
i just ordered CTR online and it should be here in a couple days.

he's a lot faster, but has less range and no real projectiles. like an improved ultimate jiggs.

Stupid Question but do you play Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild?

Awww, understandable and not entirely a dealbreaker. At least, until Animal Crossing comes out. Thanks in advance, kind user.

Attached: 1531683388241.jpg (716x768, 101K)

Has anybody tried this? It's on sale and it looks cool

Attached: H2x1_NSwitchDS_ARobotNamedFight_image1600w.jpg (1600x800, 304K)

What it can do:
- emulators up to PS1 working almost flawlessly
- linux
- android soon-ish
- homebrew bideo james and ports like doom, quake, roller coaster tycoon 2, postal, half life, sonic robo blast (actually hella good)
- free games
- custom themes + menu music
- overclocking
- file management + video watching
- web browsing
- FTP transfers
- game and save editing

what it can't do:
- pirated online games

In order to play online you’ll need to use an emunand. the switch’s regular os will be where you will buy games normally, pay for online, etcetera. The emunand will be for pirated games, custom stuff and the likes. Don’t EVER go online in a pirated copy of a game or your system will be flagged for a ban. /hbg/ has a guide you can follow and more info on online shenanigans

Looks fun, hate that its pixel shit.
Shame the online is dead

Assault Android Cactus is fantastic if you like twin-stick shooters, and is pretty ideal for short burst play on breaks and the like. Then again it depends what your definition of "inexpensive" is, because if I recall correctly the Switch version is like twice as expensive as the Steam version.

but like, can I connect my switch to the internet now? I've been on airplane mode since last year

Guys, I have completed Botw, FFX, Zodiac Age and MHGen is there anything else worth playing? Mario and Xenofags need not apply.

>Astral Chain
>Daemon X Machina
>Dragon Quest XI S
>Fire Emblem Three Houses
>River City Girls
>Ninja Warriors Once Again
>Gunvolt Chronicles
How do I hold all these games?

>Dock scratches screen

Only if you're a fucking ape and just jam that shit in and out. I've had mine for over a year and no dock scratches.

you don't because none has been released

You forgot NMH3 and ACNH

Anyone played the Switch port of TJ&E: Back in the Groove? Are there any performance issues or anything? Considering picking it up since its on sale.

Slay the Spire is really fucking addictive.

anybody play pic related? it’s a short but sweet rougelike.

Attached: 02684F3A-5767-4251-898C-DB9B885B38DF.jpg (616x353, 69K)

you need either a DNS that will block nintendo’s servers or a homebrew app called incognito which will back up your switch’s online identifiers into a separate file then erase them. You only need one of these. After that you’re free to go online, but games will refuse your connection so you’ll only be using your wifi for homebrew stuff like online retroarch, ftp, browsing and that sorta stuff

Don't know how UWR runs, but for having played it on Wii U, I can tell you it's fun enough but pretty mindless. I'd say it's worth 16 dollars but not much more than that

It's pretty good. For once the Metacritic reflects the actual game. It's not bad by any means just not spectacular. If you're a fan of Marvel it's awesome, the cutscenes play out like the movies, one of the few times a "cinematic experience" is actually a good thing and trying out the different characters is a lot of fun. Co op is chaotic but fun, my wife, daughter and I all had a blast taking down Kingpin earlier. Aslo Johny Yong Bosch voices Nova Fist for f/a/gs

Was waiting for the Switch Pro to come out, but I am sick of waiting. Going to buy one soon.

Why August? Is that when the better battery life comes out? Any official date?

Which games do you not like the case art of?

Is there microtransactions?

You can buy stuff that lets you skip the money grind and RNG of the girl's mood to accept a selection of the sluttier outfits or stripper dances, but they can also be obtained the old annoying way without paying. You'd also need a Switch user with its region set to Japan to even access the real money transactions.

Attached: 1506005025578.png (1080x1920, 1.22M)

Anyone planning on getting the Baldur's Gate/Planescape games?

I bought baba is you and it's great

bayo 2 since I skipped every Tendy console after the GC, it's quite rad, also bought mario odyssey and mario + rabbis, all digital, though this bad boy will be hard to fill, Tendo is great at compressing games, like really really really great

Attached: 810i8W-qRHL._SL1500_.jpg (1500x1500, 174K)

Hey guys, how does buying dlc work from other regions eshops? I was thinking about getting some for omega labyrinth life when it comes next month. I have to at least make acvount to proper region and then buy a card from playasia or such?

That's right. It's pretty easy.

Glad to hear that. The dlc is there if I play the game on my own account that isn't from that region?

>Tendo
>Tendy

Stop

I'm not too sure. I do believe if it's downloaded, it should be fine. As someone who's imported a handful of games, since the Switch is region free, it just acts like any other game.

Nice. Thanks for the help, I'm glad it's better handled than what vita had. And I can just play it on my other account as these accounts don't really matter that much

>FFX
>worth playing
sorry, no, you have shit taste.

reeee give me tendy's!!!

Shutup faggot. The switch dock by itself is $80, a pair of joycons is $70, you'd gain an extra $50 value just by buying the regular switch.

What's this I hear about the switch having issues with micro sd cards? Is it just a cfw thing? I have a sandisk 128gb SD I was planning to use with mine, is there anything I should do to prevent the risk of failure/unreadability, like format it to a certain system or something?

Do you know any place where you can find Japanese NSPs? I can't find original Japanese Xenoblade 2 anywhere.

How long does it take to hack the bing bing wahoo!?

Don't use exfat. And it's not switch problem. Exfat it generally hi risky if it comes to corruption.

It's inferior in every way. If price is an issue buy used.

Or how to install cartridge game on hekate + atmosphere (xci->nsp conversions installed with tinfoil causes "game data corruption" error when I try to launch the game)

Have they began selling joycons with real d-pads yet? I see the switch lite has them.

I think those Hori ones are still the only ones

Sandisk cards already come pre-formated for Switch, you dont need to mess up with them, Just copy your files if needed and put them in the system

No but I think you can find replacement shells (like all those atomic purple ones) that replace the buttons with a dpad.

any god bargain bin games for 10 bucks?

Still haven't played anything I would consider 10/10 on the switch and it's pissing me off. What's THE best exclusive this shit has to offer? SX OS so money isn't an issue.

I finally admitted that the Switch is just not for me and moved it into my 15 year old's room. Maybe he will enjoy it since he's a zoomer that can't use a PC without voice commands. I'll stick to my boomer-box and anime tiddie games.

Am I too late for the Splatoon train? I was thinking about getting it.

Lego City Undercover was a Wii U launch title that you can get on the Switch. At the time it came out, is considered one of the 3 best games available on the Wii U. I bought it for $30 on the eShop but haven't really played it. Just got it for my kid since I enjoyed it so much.

I'm looking forward to Luigi's Mansion more than anything right now. Don't me down!

What game?

but seriously, it's complete shit. Don't waste your time.

Omega labyrinth life is coming soon though

Any real date for this thing? or will game stores just silently pop this thing without any ado?

>buying a paperclip-proof switch

I shig. Even if you don't want to hack yours you should still get an RCM switch in case you ever want to.

Just sold my 6 months old Switch. Advertised it as a "hackable model" and got like 85% of what I originally paid back. Will be getting the new model + Astral Chain whenever that comes out

How easy is it to find a working Switch that old?

How is it normally? 30 fps?

Anons. How to properly install xcis? I have hekate with acid patches. Tinfoil installed games are always corrupted and don't even start. Converted xcis are the same.
Is there really no proper way to install xcis or xci conversions? There's so much games that are either only xci or converted xcis.

I really enjoyed Deadbolt on the PC, so I figured that I'd get it on my Switch. It's different, but still pretty fun.

Close to impossible

You're literally buying used at this point

New in retail, very unlikely. You can use the guide to find hackable ones by serial number and wagies don't usually mind letting you check but most of what you'll find in store are either the newest known patched units, or the less recent units from last summer/winter that are a mix of patched and unpatched units (which you can technically gamble on but it's not worth the risk if you're dead set on cfw)

Best bet is to just check local listing sites like craigslist or kijiji, people sell their switches all the time and you can just message the seller to ask them what the serial number is to see if it's an old enough model for RCM before buying. Some pretty good dealss show up often. There's always the risk of getting a switch in bad shape (or maybe even a banned one if the owner hacked theirs and fucked up) but people selling on those sites are usually honest enough if you actually ask about this shit.

If you're considering waiting for the new revision coming out you should at least be checking local ads once in a while for a good deal on an old switch while you wait.

Figured as much. Buying used might work in the States but in my tiny country where nobody owns a Switch it's pretty unlikely.

Are those supposed unpatched units on eBay mostly scams?

I live in a turd world SEA country and all the retail Switches I've scoured this past week are all patched. All the unpatched Switches are bought en masse by scalpers more than a year ago and are charging $400-$500 for it, mint ones go for like $600+.

I imagine its far worse in actual first world countries and countries where Nintendo has a real presence.

All Nintendo handhelds get hacked to kingdom come eventually so if I'm buying a patched Switch I would rather get the version with better battery life and won't overheat like an oven.

No, just really shitty "I know what I got" type deals. When I was trying ebay for an old switch every result for confirmed hackable units was always either 300$ "screen only nothing else" hackable units or "700$ cib new" hackable units. The gouging is unreal.

Ebay's buyer protection is too good for sellers to try scamming, if you bought that shit and it was a scam you'd 100% get your money back.

Super Mario Maker 2 and Dragon Quest Builders 2. I'm feeling very creative lately

Going to buy some vouchers, 1 for Fire Emblem and 1 for Link's Awakening. Should I get 2 more or a pro controller?

>$18 a can at bunnings
fucking ripoff.

If you are going to play docked 90% of the time, the revision is worthless to you.

>trying to do a minimum capture run in Mario Odyssey
>tfw Broodle Bot fight
Getting onto the bot is not a problem just gotta be patient but staying on is annoying as shit

better battery life is never a bad thing, most Switch users play in handheld/table mode anyway and dockfags are a minority

I think these new Switches are going to be sold out fast because Nintendo still has to clear old stock

I only play mine in handheld mode on the toilet or in bed late at night. Even then it's usually just Tetris 99 or some indie game like Celeste.

Returned my switch for the same reason but I'm starting to regret it with three houses coming out in less than a week.

>tfw want to buy the new Fire Emblem game but money is tight at the moment and shouldn't buy new shit

Shame but what can you do? I would hack my switch but it's a hand me down and it's already been patched to the latest version and the serial number indicated that the hardware exploit is fixed in this one. At least I got for free and some games with it, so I'm not complaining.

Looks like they're about $400 or a bit over without shipping and import charges, nearly $600 with. That's pretty steep but considering that new Switches here cost $360 and games go for $60-$80, it's not that unreasonable.

You can make the price more palatable if you consider the mileage you'll get out of it and the money you can save via piracy.

Always feels like a ripoff paying twice as much for something like that though.

Still stuck on Smash, waiting patiently for Fire Emblem Three Houses.

>what can you do?
sell something.
suck penis.
do overtime
eat noodles for dinner for a few weeks

Is it worth buying one now or would it be better to wait for the next "version" of the switch? Never really been a fan of buying consoles half way through their life cycle.

Been playing bomberman, smash and puyo puyo tetris yesterday with my bros that I've been gaming with since gamecube days. We play with my old gamecube controllers as well.

What's a good coop game for switch? Should I get Fire Emblem Warriors? I have Hyrule Warriors on WiiU.

If you're at all interested in CFW you're better off buying one now and finding an early hackable model. It'll only ever get harder to find them.

Thought the system may see slight improvements overtime, everything we know about CFW indicates that the earliest versions will always be the best ones because of the hardware exploit, unless nintendo fucks up again and brings it back for the new models.

I'm loving BOTW! I'm so glad Nintendo prioritises art style over graphical fidelity! Such timeless graphics.

Anything good on the summer sale for under 30 bucks? Is Yooka-Laylee worth 20?

What is some short and fun game that I can play until Fire Emblem is out?

Is there anyone else with a switch here that BOTW disappointed?
i recently got mine and I'm having much more fun with games like dong freee than zelda.
The switch is peak comfy though, it's ridiculous how good it is

What are some good cheaper alternatives for the Switch Pro Controller? I fucking hate the joycons but I need something good to help me play MHGU without the discomfort or the empty wallet.

yooka laylee is free with twitch (amazon) prime, meaning it'll probably be free or severely discounted in many other deals to come. i wouldn't spend $20 on it at this point.

I've been going through Octopath and it's really comfy so far, even if I can't get into many JRPGs. Also hopped into Splatoon again to see how the splatfest was going.

>yooka laylee is free with twitch (amazon) prime,

I don't have Twitch Prime so that's not much use to me.

dq builders 2, really good game
MUA3, heh it's passable
blazing chrome, contra in all but name.

At the end of the week, FE three houses, and then a month after astral chain, not to mention DxM, links awakenings and LM3 in a short succession too. switch is in no drought of games.

buyers remorse setting in hard huh boys

Mayflash adapter+whatever other controller you already have
