I know it's high fantasy but early game Morrowind gave me that sweet exploration and discovery feels that I had when I read Conan short story.
But I honestly can't think of any games like than, most of them still have a scale that is way bigger than most Conan story, I'm almost tempted to say God of War 1 and God of Ascension but they still get a crazy in their stakes quite rapidly
