K1llsen is pretty alpha
depends on the game. SC2 & CSGO can be entertaining as you can easily see the skill on display.
Things like hearthstone/overwatch, not really. i have no idea whats happening with overwatch in particular
Big dota and fighting game tournaments are fun to watch. Don't like the other shit tbqhf

While I'm at it, hear the sound of bw fangirls.
pls dont bully dabuz
I like Dabuz
I would if there was anything good out right now. I played competitive Siege back before real orgs got into it, but I can't stand the game anymore. Overwatch is a fucking joke, I'm burned out on CS after 20 years of it, CoD is >CoD, Quake is dead, League is dying, I don't play Starcraft so I'm not interested in the comp scene although it seems to be decent, and I don't care about soccer but with RC cars although that too seems to be a skill-centric game.
I like esports because I've always been a competitive player and it gives nolifes like me an avenue to maybe make some cash playing, especially in modern day esports where normies have been introduced and the average comp player can make a living between streaming and sponsors. The problem is that there aren't any good esport games out right now. Nothing that takes a good combination of IQ and reflex/muscle memory is popular enough. Maybe certain fighting games, but I'm not good enough to compete in genres outside of shooters. I wish I was good enough to compete in Tekken.
Reminder that Yea Forumsermins are not good enough to play games competitively
>I played competitive Siege back before real orgs got into it, but I can't stand the game anymore
Why did you stop?

/ourguy/ dabuz will win evo
Fuckin hell lads, does anyone remember that season of the GSL with all the "Secret" girls? That was kino, but I cant find ANY OF IT online
The Overwatch League makes for good background noise that I don't really "watch" when I feel like I need to do more than just listen to music while drawing. My ADHD requires some sort of peripheral visual to keep my brain fully stimulated during art time to be d e s u.
You can't refute this.
Dabuz is alpha as fuck
>Plays a horrendously boring character, KNOWS that he plays a horrendously boring character, and doesn’t care
>Unabashed autist
>His fucking lips are a meme
LoL esports are pure kino (worlds) and DOTA fags can't tell me otherwise
>Gets destroyed by a manlet white guy
>Gets told off in the best way possible
>Can't get his dick out of his mouth
>Can't refute his points so "m-muh race"

When they got rid of xbox PL and all the consolefags switched to PC I couldn't stand dealing with them. Kids like Skys and Laxing were too much. Too many unlikable people in the community already, most of the pro players are complete morons and annoying to talk to, and it's only gotten worse. Plus I hate playing the game online, rankedfags think they're hot for sprinting around corners on 2000 mgs of adderall and abusing the worst netcode I've ever had to deal with. Plus when I quit there was a giant problem with brazilians switching servers to play with 200 ping and Ubi didn't care, I figured if I don't like playing the game regularly there was no point in playing competitively. Besides all that, Ubisoft is completely incompetent when it comes to rules and competition environments in general. I mean who the fuck thinks Bo1 is good under any circumstance? They don't listen to players and they could give a fuck less about what players want in terms of rulesets in the league, they just design everything to be as HYPE!!!! as possible and it's cancer. Also, they don't help players out with orgs. I know dudes that still haven't been compensated for their in-game charm purchases yet. It's just trash all around and only getting worse, yet its popularity is increasing for some reason.
My biggest reason for quitting was the community. The casual userbase sucks and the pro players are mostly faggots outside of a handful of cool dudes like the old F3 guys and some others like Nadian, Ecl9 and Slash.
i like watching tekken
thats about it though
Sometimes, when they're exciting. Its mostly boring to me these days.
Do grown men really get amped up for winning a kid's game?
>Do people get amped up for winning competitions?
Don't be retarded.
He's just an attention whore, what really gets me is him throwing his controller, like that shit is worth money. I guess it doesn't matter since he makes quite a bit but still
Very interesting stuff. I thought you had issues with the game itself not the people around it.
The BO1 matches to me are the worst part of it. I never played the game competitively but i watch it on the regular and it's compleyely unfair, also the tie system is trash even from the viewer standpoint.
Ubi takes a lot of retarded decisions but given how much the game has grown and the amount of money being pumped into it, don't you think you should have sticked to it?
Also, the region balance seems pretty off to me, EU is just so much better than the rest i almost don't even care for tournaments any more
The game itself isn't so bad, besides the netcode. Competitively it's amazing, ranked isn't fun though.
The scene is growing and there are big orgs in it now yeah but I just can't be assed to team with people I don't like and the people I do like are already contracted. They don't really make all that much anyways and no amount of money is worth dealing with the community that Siege has, and dealing with Ubishaft and söyboys like Interro and Kix on the mic is just icing on the cake. I want to stream anyways and Siege is a dead avenue for streaming. I'm just waiting for a good fps to come out at this point.
Don't get me wrong, competitive Siege is really fun and has a good bit of depth to it for being a shooter. If there was an R6 version of esea or faceit, I'd play it all the time. But go4s are only weekly, and the way PL is setup just isn't enjoyable as a competitor. Ubi can't really balance all that well (just look at how long it took them to nerf Neckbeard despite how much crying all the comp players did (oh sidenote, the guy that designed BB got fired lol)) and they definitely are NOT easy to deal with from a business standpoint. They don't care about players and do everything to grow hypeuuu. It's probably worth it for most players, but for me I just don't want to put up with it. I'm good enough at shooters that I'll be able to compete in anything I put time into. Just waiting for the right game to actually put time into. As soon as the Battle Royale trend dies down I think devs will go back back to making standard fps games and then I'll hop back on the esports train.
also you're right about EU vs NA. NA players just don't approach the game with the same mentality as EU. I'm from NA so I experienced it firsthand. Teams ended up playing shit like PUBG and WoW together all the time instead of grinding scrims like EU does. Most NA teams just want the popularity and twitter followers, they don't have the drive or desire to win. They also have huge egos and think they don't need to practice to win. Only a few people in NA take the game seriously enough to win, and the ones that do actually did win. Canadian is my homie and I have a lot of respect for him for taking his team where he has. Even then, it's impossible for EG to practice as much as they want because other NA teams just won't scrim them. Lots of intentional blacklisting went on when I played, people would intentionally not practice against certain teams to hurt their chances. EU doesn't do dumb petty shit like that. Neither does Brazil, and they have some real competitors down there. Astro is one of the best fps players I've ever seen touch and fps game in my 20 years of experience.
