I dont really get dissapointed in games because I tend to follow the development cycle of anything im truly hyped in, and you can always tell when something is going to be shit. I would say the last time I was truly caught off guard by a truly awful game despite my expectations was Shadow of the Tomb Raider. What a complete fucking waste of time, waste of resources, waste of development, what a way to kill a series with a squeek.

I think if they just plopped the gameplay from 2 into the level design of 1 it would generally speaking be better except for some scripted animations. I do think switching to sprint mode was combersome, I guess, and maximum strength is necessary for fun.

I think this hurts the most because there was so much potential in GZ but the main game was just awkward, boring and full of poor design decisions. What's the point of being able to steal a tank if you're hamstringing yourself by killing enemies because you're expected to play Pokemon with them instead?

I'm with you there. It wasn't even just bad, it was actively unpleasant which was compounded by the fact it was completely up its own ass and thought it was a lot cleverer than it was. Pig disgusting.
