i am neither your brother nor your battle mate.

Is it fun? I'm playing expeditions conquistador right now, another tactical rpg, and having fun. Are they somewhat similar?

Not op. It's neat but it can be very grindy. Everything is randomly generated so it can be a bit hit or miss.

I would check it out, try it for an afternoon or so.

I enjoy both (currently playing expeditions conquistador again myself) but they're quite different. Battle Brothers combat is far deeper but the game is openworld do what you want, no story or quests like EC

>and an few AM radio stations.

Picked it up on the steam sale, thank god I did. It's really, really fucking good. Genuinely one of the best strategy games out there, and I regret putting it off for so long purely because of that stupid pawn aesthetic it has going on.

What the fuck is happening in there?

Peasant militia start best start.

FUCK HEDGEKNIGHTS
FUCK NOBLES
AND FUCK HEXEN

Can you train them to good fighters or they'll be still inferior to knights?

Inferior to knights definitely, but lumberjacks and militia men can be nearly as strong if they have the right stars. Peasants suck at ranged combat because Poachers have shit ranged attack compared to real Hunters.

Having 16 bros on the field is the bees knees though

Is cultist start any good?

I fucking hate this game because it's so goddamn limited.

No option to join a faction for real, no option to just straight out recruit high level knights, no option to have a house or base to store bros or your money.

Nigger says it's an ironman game, but the game is meant to be played above 100-1000 hours, good luck maintaining that with a hex or alp ambush.

No option to rebuild settlement ever, what the fuck?

It's bullshit, the devs should make it into 2D Mount & Blade instead of what it is now.

It can get downright broken if you keep sacrificing to Davkul, you are gonna become champions of Chaos.

So there's nothing really to do but fuck around?

>No option to rebuild settlement ever, what the fuck?
isn't there a tickbox at the start to enable/disable permanent destruction?

Yeah, you level up and make money and fight until you die essentially.

The level of interaction is seriously lesser than Mount and Blade, a waaay older game.
Yeah, and it means either the settlement gets razed status and never gets destroyed, or it gets destroyed permanently.

Can't rebuild them from scratch.

Keep sacrificing and your cult bros get Davkul armor and weapons.

Seriously, champions of chaos, this game is heavily inspired by Warhammer.

I don't like SRPG that have large squad sizes. Once you're juggling 12+ units you should be in the RTS realm.

12-16 dudes are not large squad sizes though.

It makes the conflict kinda unrealistic since the world is just about a 500 people top (including the monsters).

>no house/castle

this senpai desu. fuck lugging all my equipment and consumables at once

BB is more of an XCOM type of game.

I mean it's just my personal preference, I'm not gonna say it's wrong for people to enjoy it.

How do I build a fencer bro?

I must bully peasants
