So far, from what I can tell, the average Switch owners is like 30 years old boomers who plays it at work during lunchbreak (aka their only free time from the wife and work). I am 31 years old and I barely ever brought my switch outside my bedroom.

Nintendo doesn't need to advertise to their core base. These commercials are to make the Switch look appealing to normies. Showing a bunch of pasty overweight neckbeards sitting in front of their TVs in a dark room would be a turnoff to the people they're trying to reach.
