What physical games you guys got?

What physical games you guys got?

I only tend to buy 4gb+ games physically, everything else is digital

Attached: 20190716_220051.jpg (2971x1857, 3.42M)

most of my games are physical
I have about 400 games or so

I just started game collecting this month so I only have 5 physical games. They say to only focus on 2 systems at a time so I'm getting Saturn before it gets any higher (I wont spend more than $100 on a game) and Wii while it's still cheap.

Not going for a full set, just games I like.

Have you finished all of those? I've only completed 225 games.

ha
I've barely finished 100 I'd imagine

Why so many unplayed games?

I buy whatever is cheaper

Games i know that are going to be lengthy i buy physical. Like RPGs. And multiplayer/party games i tend to buy digitally

the depression, mostly

Depression is a meme made up by Jews so weak men have an excuse to be weak and buy pills.

You gotta increase your plant shit intake, nofap, exercise, and meditate.

Digital: indies and throwaway games bought with heavy discount ONRY.

This is pretty much me. I love to play and collect games but sometimes I'll get halfway through something, suffer a depressive bout and try to find something else until I'm past it. Looking into therapy soon to hopefully escape the cycle.

Last count was about three years ago and I had over 300 physical. Rarest/most expensive right now is probably Gravity Rush Remastered.

Attached: uc7fsb3tl4iz.jpg (2048x1536, 294K)

I recently got a PS2 again and I've built up a decent collection for it so far.

Attached: IMG_20190720_043323829~2.jpg (1678x3264, 1.21M)

yeah fuck you, just to spite asswipes like you i started training, eating healthy, stopped smoking and force myself to go to a bar every two weeks and lo and fucking behold, i am still depressed, it´s getting even worse, because i have to force myself to do these things just to not get nagged to death for not doing them. I hate society in every facet and just wanna be left alone by you pretentious assholes. But god forbid i say i want to actually kill myself, then you pretentious fucks say "nuh uh can´t do that." i ask why and you have no answer. But okay, if you fucks want to spend money on me till i am dead, go ahead, i gave you the option to just give me a lethal shot of heroin. And again, i won´t hang myself or cut my wrists because i refuse to die suffering when all i know is suffering, at least give me a peacefull death.

The best is yet to come

I'm hoping to get to most of those soon.
I'm playing Prince of Persia Sands of Time now and I've also been playing DDS.
I passed up on 0 at the local game shop I go to. I really regretted that after playing through 4. Hope I can find a cheap copy on ebay.

Did you honestly need Nanobreaker and Dead to Rights?

Why have Black on PS2 when the Xbox version was better back in the day and you can run that same disc in 4k now?

I have several other Reddit statements but it seems like a poorly thought out collection.

It is a poorly thought out collection. I traded in some stuff to that game shop and they gave me a lot more credit than I expected. So I ended up with like 20 games that day. I don't think I would have Sonic Riders or Shadow the Hedgehog otherwise.
I don't have an Xbox One so I picked up Black on the PS2 to give it a shot. Although I didn't like what I played all that much.

>switch and vita

gross

This is all I have thats physical besides some N64 games

I’ve been collecting for my Vita for 4 years now. I’m almost at 200 physical games. Such a great handheld

Pictures? I really enjoyed my Vita, but I regrettably sold mine.

Why so many doubles?

I have many

Me and my gf had some of the same games

Attached: C3391FE7-0CF3-44AC-8BF1-8FE509BE4C6D.jpg (4032x3024, 3.25M)

That makes sense. It would drive me crazy though, I'd have to separate them.

Used slim models aren't too expensive still, and if you hack it there's so many emulation options available.

Attached: 20190717_062907.jpg (4032x1960, 2.54M)

I only "collect" games I would actually play. Space is too valuable.

Attached: 20181129_005318.jpg (3120x3120, 3.34M)

Nice collection. I think I'm ok with just moving on from it. I do miss the thing but I played through most of everything that I wanted to at the time.

Most of my shit is in the loft. My bookcases are full of books and my media shelves are full of blu-rays, so I only have this drawer for games. Anything I don't currently have the console plugged in for is boxed up and stored.

Attached: 20181228_142248.jpg (2560x1440, 1.69M)

Fuck that's such a nice collection. You have a fuckton more games than I do but it makes me want to slim down some of the fluff that pads mine.

I'm just an idiot. It would more so bother me for handhelds like the DS where the save is on the cartridge

technically all games are physical, even if their only manifestation is a smear of electrons over a hard drive platter or held in capacitance on a flash chip.

wow deep man

Are you 7 years old? Even if I never bought any game and just kept the games my parents bought me way back in the day I'd have at least 50 games

>9 fucking ports

Attached: chad.png (300x289, 206K)

I used to have a good bit of physical games but I lost everything when I became homeless a couple of years ago. I wasn't able to liquidate it because I live in bumfuck nowhere, so all it went in the trash.

Attached: thisagainhuh.jpg (1024x547, 191K)

Dune, escape from monkey island, neverwinter nights, age of empires one and two, icewind dale one and two, baldur's gate burned on eight cd's and, stalker clear sky and like a hundred cd's of demos from game magazines.

Can't take a photo of everything because the ones on the front are in the way of the ones in the back. I got this bookshelf because it can take a lot of games it's not for display. But it's mostly 360 games.

Sold all my Playstation games and have a huge regret about having done that. But whatever, did that 5 years ago.

Most of my Xbox One games are digital but still have some stuff and have the Code Vein CE on pre order too.

Forgot the pic

Game colections are a huge waste of money.

Attached: 20190713_185916.jpg (2560x1440, 1.58M)

I try to just buy everything physical unless the digital version is dirt cheap which only happens on the PS4’s flash sales every now and then.

Attached: 69C79123-576E-4C38-8B7C-06A671A49474.jpg (3023x2471, 2.49M)

No need for them

I can see that one.

I only buy physical games for Switch, same with PS4 exclusives. All PC games and multiplats I get digitally. Also, just sold a few games at CeX, fuck me those guys give good prices.
If it's an option, physical really is the way to go. You truly "own" the game, can lend it to friends, and can even sell it. Digital is only worth it when there are no other options.

Good shit user

Man out of all the PS2 games I had the ones I regret selling the most were the .Hack collection with the anime dvds. That shit is fucking expensive today

I hate how cucked PAL got for PS2 cases. The EU art is usually better than US but the spines look really soulless on a shelf.

Nice Vita games, OP

>think about building a collection of PS2 games
>remember emulation is both free and also better

I disagree. All white with a black font looks best on a shelve.

PAL SNES is worse. They got titles on top of the cartridges and we didn't.

will the classics game bubble ever pop?

>Symphony of the Night is $70 used

I've added to my collection since. I sell them when I finish them. except a few.

Attached: IMG_20190317_200452.jpg (2631x3217, 2.84M)

That's a reasonable price for a game like that.

Order of Ecclesia can go for more than $100 and it's only 11 years old.

You basically buy everything you can for the Switch.

Is Gravity Rush Remastered rare/expensive in the US? I can get it for around 25 bucks easily.

I have some cds and snes and gameboy carts from when I was a child, does it count?

>buying physical games
>ever

>all that shovelware

What's the point if your collection is full of garbage? Rarity? Exotic shit is still shit.

>not owning anything

I try to buy physical only unless the said game is digital only (outlast, resideint evil, etc)

user I believe you’re a good person and you don’t deserve whatever you’re going through

>muh owning meme
What you "own" is an empty plastic box with a download voucher. Or if there is a disk don't forget the day 1 patch to fix gamebreaking bugs. Oh and don't forget any updates the devs make. But hey, 50 years from now you'll own a plastic box. Congrats.

fuck physical games
i have a 2tb HD with thousands of pirated games, always ready

I've got over 600 physical games. I absolutely hate buying digital and refuse to unless there isn't any other way to get the game. I do PC game though and have over 300 games on Steam, some of them, games I already have physically elsewhere like the Resident Evil games. It sucks not having big box PC games, but there isn't much point since you don't own the game anyways on PC, unlike console where the discs are still useful.

My biggest collections are for the Gamecube, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii U and SNES. Haven't been able to pick up many games within in the last few years though, just newer ones when they go on sale or the occasional PS2 gem.

It looked poor then and it looks poor now.

None of the games I own have this.

Me pirate...
I tend to buy physical if its a game in a franchise I love or just have emotional attachment to it though. So like I have phys of KH3, P4G, and the new MMX collection, and then I plan on getting P5R phys just for how much I loved P5.
Sometimes I get Switch games physical cause of how little space my SD Card has on it already, but it's still mostly digital for me.
I definitely need to work up my classic game collection though, as for SNES I have like 3 physical games even though it's one of my favorite consoles.

>That's a reasonable price for a game like that.
no it isn't, it was a Greatest Hits for fucks sake

I used to own more than you. Made like $7000+ off of eBay sales.

Attached: Oldgames.jpg (1440x2960, 1.74M)

Hoarding physical media won't make you happy.

Cool story bro

I do much the same, buy big games physical, small games digital. I also tend to buy games I really like physical, regardless of size

>R-Type got a physical release

Thanks. I used it to pay a chunk of my college loans and it made moving out easier because I didn't have to pack all that shit.

>500mb games on a fucking 30+gb card
What's the fucking point.

That ot I bet Shantae came with a code instead of a card like Shovel Knight did. It's simply retarded and a waste or plastic.

This. Since like 2004 I've been buying mostly digital copies because they go on sale for way lower prices, ease of purchase, and I mostly play online. But your retail of choice/thrift store/etc. sometimes has physical copies for dirt cheap. I know I've gotten all my Xbone games for like 3.50 at walmart. (all 4 of them lol)

I wish I started buying ps1 and ps2 games when they were still cheap

can't be bothered to make a collection when some games go for $40+ each in scuffed condition

Not all the carts are 30gb retard.

PS2 is still fairly cheap, PS1 is majorly fucked though. Shit like Crash and FFVII go for like $30+ for no real reason.

It's still a huge fucking waste.

What's the story with that busted NES game?

>What you "own" is an empty plastic box with a download voucher
At least try to make it obvious you aren't a bitter PCFag next time.

Got a Switch the other day with Smash and I'm importing Okami HD from Japland. After that my NEETbux run out so I guess I won't be buying vidya for a long while. I like my physical collection though. It makes me satisfied in an autistic way.

Dude that's super fucked up. I'd try to replace it if I was you, but it wouldn't feel the same.

For modern consoles, almost all digital.

I own 2 physical PS4 games, 0 physical XBone games, and 1 physical Switch game. I hate keeping track of discs so I'm going to limit my lifetime purchases to 1 physical game per system going forward.

I would too but I had so fucking many it'd be impossible. Even common shit from like the Gen 3/4 days is hard as hell to get a hold of.

I have never bought a game. I download everything because I don't want to waste my money.

how are pirating and digital different

do you mean like burning shit to CDs? that's the worst of both worlds

Digital is paying for air. Pirating is not paying for air.

Shitload of old PC games in a big blue bin - Diablo 2, Command & Conquer, Total Annihilation, Jedi Knight to name a few but there are dozens of discs in there.

Then I've still got the Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii, and a few PS4 and Switch physical games.

I got the first 3 with the dvds cheap. I kind of doubt I'll ever be able to get the 4th one unfortunately

>100 million dollar production is just "air"

Is SRW T the one with Rayearth in it?

Here's my Switch stuff and the start of the PS4 collection. I'm too lazy to take a picture of the rest of my collection because it's on 2 other shelves. Which is not nearly as many games as it sounds like. One of them hardly qualifies as a shelf.
How is Left Alive? It looks bad but I want to play it.
That's really fucking cool
Jealous of that DS collection. I had to restart my entire collection around 2013.
Love that Saturn and Dreamcast collection.
How is that new Nep game? I don't have any experience with the series aside from a few hours of the strategy rpg one.

I want to play Coven

It's pretty great, but I need to go back to it. I stopped about 40 hours in.

It's not that it's hard to keep track of them, I just don't want to and don't really see the point of physical games outside of sales.

Xbox/PS4 games you have to install anyways and microsd cards for Switch are so cheap, so the storage issue doesn't really factor in for me.

You're paying for a service. I don't mind paying for services like Xbox Live if they keep giving you free games that will be linked to your account for years. Game Pass even better. That shit is very worth it.

Collecting games comes with too many burdens, especially as you age and have to move on and carry all that shit with you. I had to sell all my PS2/Saturn/Mega Drive along with the consoles because I simply couldn't carry everything with me once I moved out of my parents house.

>How is Left Alive
honestly it's not very good. I enjoy both Front Mission and MGS but couldn't play it for more than like 2 or 3 hours. It just genuinely doesn't do anything it tries to do well. Maybe if you find it for like 5 or 10 bucks it's worth a laugh, I got it for free and still feel ripped off.

Switch spines are fucking hideous

It had an extremely limited release and it was an Amazon exclusive Didn't even get to amazon canada

If you buy non-exclusive games on consoles instead of PC(if available) then you are a certified retard.

But why?

Attached: 1514920894025.jpg (270x320, 18K)

Because pc versions eventually are the best way to play your games. PCs dont get discontinued in the same way a console does. And finally most of your games are in the same hardware.

>keeping your handhelds on a library shelf
>putting a console with joysticks that stick outward in that position

>the update meme

>Super Neptunia RPG
>SNK Heroines
>Fate

Shit, but not irredeemably shit because of that Saturn library.

Top: Mahou Kurohime Tsukai
It’s very bayonetta like except I think it came out before? Don’t quote me on that. Got it at a garage sale at random from some Japanese family.

Second to bottom: Memory Off
just a random romance visual novel, got it at same garage sale.

Bottom: Mr. Mosquito
Got the Japanese one because the American one goes for more money than I was willing to pay, the Japanese one I got for $5.

How bad is SNK Heroines? I got it when it was 10 bucks but haven't gotten to it yet

Mr Mosquito looks infuriating to play, which makes me want to play it. Is your PS2 modded for the jap games?

It’s very basic, it’s fine for casual fun with a friend. But serious fighting game players won’t get anything out of it.

I have a Japanese PS2 I bought while vacationing in Japan.

pic almost a year old, too lazy to update
have a bunch of ps4 games since

I want to but it's not an option now.

Most of my games are digital

Freedom Fighters, Mercenaries, Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Spiderman 2 are all worth checking out. Also Marvel ultimate alliance

I know this frustration.

Back when PS3 first came out, the Game Stop near my house was starting to sell off PS2 games for cheap. Except one game: Quarantine.

It was still brand new and had been sitting in the store untouched for years because it was still going for full retail price and never dropped. Even years after the PS3 had been out the game still sat there at full price from launch. Had dust on it.

Asked if I could get the game for cheap since it was so old. The guy said sorry the price is the price.

One day I went in and it was finally gone, I was so mad because I was foolishly waiting for a price drop. This was in 2010.

I really liked The Mercenaries games. Are they worth going back to

Are there any other games like that? That never dropped in price ever? Quarantine is such a weird oddity like that.

Mercenaries 1 is definitely worth it. Of course, I haven't played it in several years so it might just be nostalgia talking, but i remember it's got lots of content. It was made on the ps2 during the Brown n bloom era though, lots of fog and rain and basically everything is a shade of brown or gray, but it's still really fun.

>lament of innocence
I know people crap on that game but I liked it a lot.

Sorry you missed out on that, user. I hope one day I can justify paying 150 for it. But I'm playing the first game on pcsx2 so I can download the 4th and still transfer my save.
