Well I'm no expert, but I always considered nostalgia being that feeling of longing for "things to be like they used to" so to speak.
And I think those "things" can be something recent. I had a big change in my life two years ago, and sometimes when I think about how things were before that, I would describe that longing as nostalgia. That's just me though
